Not that hydrating (prefer Christophe Robins Prickly Pear 1000x's more), PITA to get out of the squeeze bottle, didn't do anything for my hair.

My favorite deep conditioner. I just hate that you can't get it on the ground (at least not that I know of) because shipping changes it from 16.95 (which I already think is a little absurd) to 22.95 or some mess like that. I enjoy how moisturizing it is, and how it lasts awhile since you don't need much to cover your hair. I deep condition every week in the winter and every few weeks in the summer, so needless to say I buy it more in the winter than I do hotter months. It's protein free, which is probably my favorite thing about it, and I get it in the Island Fantasy scent. I took off a lippie because not being able to get it "on the ground" is a huge issue for me.

I'm so glad they changed from the jar to the bottle on this and Too Shea! Less likely that I'll get water in the product and screwing a lid back on in the shower is a pain. My hair is somewhere between 2A and 3A, fine but lots of it. I use this conditioner at least once a week and try to leave it on for at least 10 minutes. I'm glad that I can order this in unscented because my allergies have been really bad lately and fragrances are bothering me. Have repurchased several times.

I can't believe I paid $25 for such a disappointing product ($16.95 + shipping at CurlMart). I bought this based on the glowing reviews. A moisturizing deep conditioner that's silicone and protein-free? Count me in! I bought the unscented version which comes in the newer bottle packaging. I wish it still came in a tub, because the conditioner is extremely thick and it's nearly impossible to squeeze out of the bottle. Beyond that, this deep conditioner did absolutely nothing for my hair. Just as a previous reviewer had mentioned, it made my hair feel "rough" and almost on the dry side. It seems that based on the reviews here, some people experience slip while others do not. I found this to provide absolutely zero slip, and my hair wasn't even detangled. Again...I paid $25 for this? I'd much rather spend $5.00 on GVP Conditioning Balm, which both detangles and provides great slip, in addition to offering much more product per bottle.

This is a great deep conditioner. I was initially concerned when applying it because the conditioner does not offer any slip, so I didn't think it would work, but after applying it, leaving it on for a while under a plastic cap and no heat I am impressed with the results. The ingredients are excellent as well (no protein). While I got no slip, the product detangled my hair really well, and left it moisturized. This is a keeper. I leave this on my hair for a long time only because I do that with all my dc treatments, but you don't have to leave this on your hair for as long as I do to get good results.

This conditioner did not meet my expectations but it is still a great conditioner. I wanted something with lots of slip (instant detangle butter soft). My hair was very much hydrated but not detangled.

This deep conditioner is quite perfect. As a natural gal, going on about a year, I am always looking for that perfect deep conditioner and I am so fortunate to have found this deep treatment. It's quite small so I suggest heavy handed people control yourselves. It's smells quite woody and like raw cocoa and shea butter. It made my hair feel buttery soft. I recommend it for any natural. Great during the winter months.

I bought it as a leave-in treatment for my ends only- since it is expensive- and was not impressed. Left my ends stringy and lifeless. Used as a deep treatment, with heat, is whole another story! My fine, colored hair is soft, bouncy, shiny - beautiful!
Love it and will try to DIY it since ingredients list is pretty simple.

I have been using this product for about a year now, and it is a staple in my hair routine (for reference: my hair is 2c-3a/b, coarse, thick, and moderately porous). I have not found a deep treatment that even comes close to it.

The texture is creamy, about the consistency of soft buttercream icing. It is in a tub, which I hate, but as the previous reviewer correctly pointed out, this is the only packaging suitable for the product's texture and consistency, as other dispensers would clog. The scent I get is island fantasy, which you would think would smell coconutty or like a pina colada. Nope. It actually has sort of a woody scent to it, with notes of coconut. It's odd at first, but you get used to it. I actually really like it now.

I apply it to freshly co-washed or low-pooed hair and put my hair up in a clip, then cover it with a shower cap. I leave it on for at least 30 minutes. The result is amazingly soft hair, and my curls bounce back beautifully if I've been having limp curls.

This is a protein free product, which is important to me, as I am very protein sensitive, and it's extremely difficult to find a protein-free deep treatment in drugstores or Sally's or what have you. It is expensive, but a tub will last you about 2 months, so it's worth it. I order mine from curlmart when there is a sale, because the Jessicurl website has horrible shipping fees.

I definitely recommend this product and will continue to repurchase.

I'm mainly writing this to address the issue that someone else had with the packaging. Because the Deep Treatment is so thick, it's nearly impossible to put it in any other kind of container. In a normal bottle, it will stick to the sides of the bottle and not come out, plus it will gunk up the little hole it's supposed to come out of (like an old mustard bottle.) Any sort of pump also gets clogged, and you end up pumping these teeny-tiny little pumps out...and like 75 pumps later you MIGHT have enough for your hair. This is by far the best conditioner I've ever used. It's also great as a shaving cream...

One of the best deep treatments hands down. I use this on my long 3b-3c curls and it works great. I actually don't need to use heat with it. I slather it on, cover with a plastic cap and then relax around the house for a couple of hours. When i rinse it out my hair feels like seaweed. So soft and slippery. The effects last too. The Island Fantacy scent stinks so bad. eeh. I just stick to the unscented version. I highly recommend.

I LOVE this WDT. It makes my hair really soft and shiny. The only thing I don't love is the tub. I use it in the shower and it slips out of my hand and the whole thing is down the drain. The 20$ tub lasts forever, a little goes a long way, so it's worth it to buy some more because it is such a fab product, but for shower use I will put it into a different container! Get some of this, you will love it, guaranteed!

My hair absolutely loves this stuff! I have waist length, thick, coarse, dry curly hair. It's my HG treatment. It's silicone and protein free, a combo that is so hard to find. I use it as a deep treatment with heat every week or two for an hour (sometimes overnight) & dull, dry curls perk right right up and become shiny and smooth. In the winter, I use it as a rinse out conditioner and a leave-in when the cold, dry air turns my hair to hay. It's heavy on butters so it's best for very dry or thick hair. I've even used it as a hand moisturizer. The Island Fantasy scent is to die for... yummy!

The 8oz & liter size only come in a tub (3 tubs for the liter) which means you have to scoop it out with your hands adding germs and water if you're in the shower. Jessicurl products have preservatives but I suspect not in great quantity since they do go rancid, especially the tubs (water & germ extras from scooping!) The gallon size comes in a jug with a pump which protects the product better. The price is pretty steep for an 8 oz tub but buying the larger sizes makes it more economical. I buy it by the gallon now since I go through it pretty quickly (I use 1/2 a tub for one deep treatment).

I wish it was available locally. I stock up during shipping specials to save $30+ USD in shipping charges for gallons. Still, even if it was twice the price, I would buy it. I can't live without it!

Ok, so after reading all the raves about this product I just had to try it. My hair is straight, thick and I have lots of it. I tried this product in unscented and I was not impressed with it. I used it as a deep conditioner with heat and it was eh, just ok. My hair felt somewhat tangled after I used it, it didn't seem to give me that moisture I was looking for and it actually made my hair feel "rough" if that makes sense. I am glad I tried it though, but I won't be repurchasing this.

INCREDIBLE! This is my rock solid super staple hair care product. I use it as a leave in EVERY time and get amazing results. I prefer to use it as a leave in than a Deep treatment or a rinse out. The scent is really awesome albeit strong, so someone really sensitive to strong scents will def. have issues. But it does come in unscented.
The product itself is thick, rich and very moisturizing on my coarse naturally curly waist length hair. The natural oils, herbals and butters make a great healthy combination for parched curls and scalp healing.
I love this stuff so much that I give little samples to my friends to get them on the wagon!
I do wish that I could get this OTC, but am more than willing to order and pay shipping to get a product that produces such great results.

I'm CG, so I don't use silicones or sulfates, and my hair is protein-sensitive. Obviously, it can be tough to find products that meet all of these requirements! Thankfully, Jessicurl WDT does, and it works great. Gives me silky smooth curls that are easy to style. I use this once a week and leave on for about an hour before rinsing out. The Island Fantasy scent is a little overpowering, but I like it. Also love that this is a relatively cheap deep conditioner.

I need to be clear-I'm giving this 5 lippies for the way I use it, but not as a deep conditioner. I admit that I'm not a fan of Jessicurl products. Every single one I've ever tried made my MORE frizzy and awful (and I'm pretty sure I've tried, literally, every product she sells). I like the website's tips for styling curls, I just don't like their haircare. Anyway, I had a little tub of this leftover from when I'd ordered travel sets from the website. I didn't think it did anything for my hair as a deep conditioner, and I have plenty of those in my stash that I love, so I tried this one night out of desperation. I ran a bit through my dry, styled hair as a leave-in, when my hair looked dry and blah. This soaked right in, without any greasiness at all. I was impressed, and tried it as a leave-in conditioner on my wet hair the next day. When I put some of this in my hair with a bit of gel, I get nice, smooth and shiny curls. I love it for that reason alone, and I also love the Island scent.
