I love this stuff! I use it as a toner and moisturizer. A good rinse and cleansing, and a light, even application of this toner, and my skin is left clean, moisturized, and "glowing" with health :) It doesn't make me break out and I really feel like it nourishes my skin so it's a great product for me.

I am not sure why this toner has gotten not-so-good reviews here. But one common thing mentioned among previous reviews was the consistency. Sure, it's more thick then your avg toner. But surely they had to of noticed when inspecting to purchase. I actually like the thickness of this toner. It seems to glide on better. I use a cotton ball, I pour it on, wait a sec, let it seeps into the cotton ball, & then I smooth evenly over my face.

Most are used to a consistency of a watery toner, but it's hardly noticeable once you smooth this on & go on about the day/evening that it's thick. One review said that it is sticky. Far from it, unless they literally poured it directly on from the bottle and let it set on their face, & even then it wouldn't be sticky. It makes my face feel really smooth afterwards.

I haven't had any problems, seems to work like a toner should. I would consider repurchasing again. Give it a try.

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, alcohol dent., dimethicone (type of silicone that feels like silk on the skin), cyclopentasiloxane (an common emollient), butylene glycol (a common humectant), honey, triethanolamine (pH balancer), acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, sodium hexametaphosphate, dimethiconol (same as dimethicone), ascorbyl glucoside (form of vitamin c), menthoxypropanediol, sodium citrate (type of citric acid), phenoxyethanol (substance that kills bacteria), disodium edta, methylparaben (acts as a preservative for shelf life), propylparaben (preservative), red 4, yellow 10, fragrance.

I agree that the consistency of this product is weird but I really do think its a good product. I dont use it as a toner or to improve my skins tone or clarity, I dont believe a toner can really do that, or anything else that cleanses your skin or stays on it for such a short time. I do use it at night to wipe my face clean of oils and makeup. Since it does have a teeny bit of alcohol in it and some citric acid/vitamin C, its great at wiping out all the debris and just letting me apply some retinA/ night cream on nights that I dont want to use a heavy duty cleaner. It acts as a GREAT makeup remover: and its the gentlest thing Ive ever used on my eyes, even better than Bifacil. It also helps kill pimples a bit. I actually like the consistency because its not too runny, but its not completely greasy/globby. With liquid toners I feel like I have to use them twice and end up using a lot of product. The packaging is nice except that if you dont clean it after each use the glob can start to solidify at the top--and the price is really cheap for a basic makeup remover/facial refresher.

This is a very average toner. I have very dry skin that somehow becomes really oily after a few hrs, plus i'm hyper-sensitive and acne-prone. I have to be really careful using facial products and after using this toner, i don't think it does much of what it claims to do at all. On the package, it says that the toner helps to re-texturize skin, even out your complexion and reduce your pore size...well NONE of this is true! I have proof: The active ingredient Vitamin C decays really fast so the packaging MUST be thick and opaque (like Lancôme`s Sensation Totale, see my review)in order to prevent sunlight from decomposing Vitamin C. Since this toner`s packaging was a clear orange bottle, this obviously means that the product no longer works. Also I hate the bottle, it`s really hard to dispense the liquid out onto a cotton pad cuz the opening`s too small, so I transfered everything into my empty Lancôme Eau de Bienfaisant bottle which has a great pump! However, what I like about this toner is that it did not make me breakout and actually provides some moisturization (i think this is because after the liquid dries, it leaves a WAXY film on your face which prevents further dehydration). Also, since the finish is smooth and waxy, it`s a great base for foundation. But i can still feel that there`s some alcohol content which kinda annoys me and may irritate others as well. So in the end, it`s just a moisturizing toner, and don`t believe all those fancy claims (otherwise try Sensation Totale) cuz they did nothing to improve my complexion!

Hmmm... not that bad but not that great either. I do like the citrus scent, but the crazy consistency (kind of a cream/liquid) that doesn't soak into a cotton pad is frustrating to deal with. I end up pouring a blob into the centre of the pad and spreading it around with my finger to keep it from running off the pad before it even gets to my face!

I'll be trying something different, or going back to Neutrogena's Alcohol Free toner next.

i got this product when i was desperately in need of a toner, and unable to get to the body shop for their awesome seaweed toner, and have only been using this product for a few days, but so far i enjoy it. the consistency takes a little getting used to, but this toner leaves my skin feeling very refreshed. unlike some mua-ers i like that it contains alcohol, because i have found that toners without alcohol don't seem to remove all left over residue from cleansers or stuff the cleanser didn't pick up. however, i must admit, i don't have sensitive skin, so irritancy is no problem for me.

I've used this toner for over 1 month. I was pleased with the toner at first however the gel consistency began to get on my nerves. It wouldn't sink into the cotton square and when I applied it to my face I would have a gel mess on one side of my face. I recently read about the warnings about Dye yellow 5 and have since thrown this out.

This is a nice toner. I like that it contains a form of vitamin C. I (unlike many other MUAers) enjoy the scent of this. It is a nice citrus-like smell where you don't smell a heavy alcohol scent. The only thing I don't like is that this is more like a lotion than a toner. It is a thicker-than-a-normal-toner, runny liquid (kind of hard to describe). It does seem to absorb fast. The packaging is nice, although since this is thicker than a normal toner, it is hard to get out the right amount of product, and it tends to run down the side of the bottle. It does feel like it absorbs quickly and it does not appear to dry me out. I think I am going to try the Ideal Balance Pore Clarifying Toner next since that is more like a regular toner and has great ratings.

I did not like the consistency (kind of gel like). The application was messy. and it didn't really make my skin feel good, nor did it help with fighting blemish. Overall, it just feels like a cheap toner. I'm going to throw it away.

I had the $1.00 off coupon thus I decided to give this toner a try. It leaves my skin with a sticky feeling.
The packaging is horrible. You can't get it out without messing the entire top. What are those people at Loreal thinking off? How do they expect the product to despense out without making a sticky mess. Do they test the packaging? I had to re-bottle the remaining contents into an EL toner bottle.

I will never buy this product again.

On my recent trip to Walgreen's, I couldn't find my Nivea alcohol-free toner so I picked this up instead. Big mistake! In a rush, I was not looking at the ingredients and found out it had alcohol denat in it..Needless to say, this toner made my skin very pink! I liked the "lotion-liquid" texture/citrus smell but it was irritating and drying..I would skip on this one and get the Nivea which is far more gentler.

I love this toner but I have one word of warning: denatured alcohol is the 3rd ingredient. However I do not find this harsh or drying at all. I love the fresh citrusy (not perfumey) scent, and the viscous (halfway between liquid and gel) consistency. It definitely refreshes and lightly moisturizes and leaves skin smooth and glowy! And I got it in a 2-for-1 deal with the cleanser so it was just $3.50. Just as good as Guerlain's Issima toner, i swear.

Never again! I used this stuff for a month in hopes it would eliminate my breakouts. It made them 10xxx worse. I'll stick to a regular astringent. This is way too oily. My face did look and feel nice a few minutes after applying but boy did I pay for it the next 2 weeks with *painful* pus filled blemishes!

In term of texture and consistency, this gel-liquid toner is identical to the same company's Lancome Vitabolic toner/gel. The labeling doesn't include as much marketing gimmick (the lancome one is supposed to have gingko biloba extract/vitamin this and that/etc)but it gives the skin the same velvety smooth afterfeel. The process of applying the toner with cotton is as if dampening the cotton pad with a light gel lotion and wiping the face with it. By itself the toner is not hydrating enough to replace the need for a moisturizer, so not likely to clog pores. It makes the skin feel plump after application. So far the use has been good and enjoyable, I have combination skin prone to break out.
