This is just ok. It's a very average mascara for a very high price...staying power is decent, but it doesn't really seem "moisture-binding" or provide any unusual benefit. The brush shape is on the old-school side, for those who are a fan.

I was given this mascara as a gift, I would never ever pay $22 for a mascara. I liked it, more than I expected to, but I've used drug-store mascaras that I liked just as much or more for a 1/3 of the price.

One of the best mascaras I've used. Not clumpy...makes my lashes long and thick. More money than id typically like to spend, but a good product.

This is a nice mascara, but it's not for me. I've received this as a GWP many times and I always use this up, but it just doesn't give me what I want from a mascara.
This is a super natural mascara. No matter how much you try to build this, you're not going to get extreme length or volume. Estee Lauder claims that this is a defining and conditioning mascara, and it definitely is just that and nothing more. If you wear minimal makeup and just want your lashes to look a little nicer, I'd recommend this. If you're like me and like dramatic lashes, I'd look elsewhere for a mascara.
Even though this doesn't give me what I like, it's still a really great product. The brush is really nice and the formula is very clean, if that makes sense. It never clumps up on the bristles or gets goopy. It feels light and soft when applying, and when I wear this my lashes feel really soft all day long. It's also very easy to remove, since your lashes aren't dry and crunchy at the end of the day. The only problem with the formula is that it does tend to smudge a lot, especially in warmer weather. Another plus is that this mascara never seems to dry out, so even though it's a little expensive, a tube should last a long time.
I'd give this a 3.5 if I could, because it's really not bad at all, it's just not my favorite. Like I said, if you like soft, natural lashes, give this a shot.

This is a fantastic mascara - a classic case of you get what you pay for. If you are willing to fork out a huge chunk of cash this is fantastic - a classic style brush (unlike all the silicone/plastic brushes of late) which lifts, volumises and lengthens. My only complaint is it's not very black (more of a dark grey) and it is prone to flaking if you build layers. But as a daily duty mascara it is very good.

I LOVE THIS MASCARA. Its so hard to find a mascara cause of my uneven lashes but this is great! It looks like im wearing fake lashes! It doesnt clump my lashes amd gives them volume and length! It gives a beautiful look to my lashes i highly recommend.(:

This is way too wet for me. It didn't hold a curl, took a long time to dry, grouped some of my lashes together and smelled kind of funny. It does add decent volume and length and the black shade is a very dark black, not grey or anything. I think this would work really nice on someone with naturally curly lashes if they separated it after applying. It didn't flake, it smudged a bit but it's summer so it's pretty humid now. It only smudges if I wear it on my bottom lashes. I wouldn't buy it again. It didn't work for me, but like I said, maybe for someone with naturally curly lashes.

Very good mascara. i usually only use Lancome definicils, BUT, tried this and I really, really like it! It really does lengthen my lashes and separate them. I've been asked if I'm wearing false lashes when wearing this. This and Lancome's definicils are my two faves!
Age: 30-35 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Green
I bought this because my local Estee Lauder counter was out of Magnascopic. I had used More Than Mascara in the past when it came with a gift with purchase bag. The trial size was ok. But I'm not a fan of the extra long wands. I'm more likely to make a mess with it. Its an ok mascara that lasts all day. But I probably won't buy it again.

I adore this mascara. I like my lashes long, feathery, and clump free. This achieves that and looks like I have natural camel eyelashes. It doesn't flake or smear, and it comes off easily when I remove it. Highly recommended.

Overall I love Estee Lauder mascaras. This one in paticular is so good for pulling off naturally soft, full, long fltterly lashes. Its not dramatic but it really does do the job. My short asian lashes transfrm into beautiful long, full, thick, defined lashes. It holds curl very well, and I love to brush shape!

Got this as a GWP and I love it. It lengthens and volumizes and really makes my lashes more noticeable. I've tried many mascaras and this is one of my favorites for a dramatic, false-lash look. I don't know why it gets such lukewarm reviews from others, because for me it knocks most of the others I've tried way out of the park.

Got this in a sample gift. Um- no. This product is pretty horrible. And usually Estee Lauder has good products. this mascara is really really basic. it doesnt add volume whatsoever, lenghtens only a little bit and doesnt stay put. i rubbed my eyes and it smudged all over my hand. im glad i didnt actually buy it because it does not work for me. recently i got a gift and it had another type of mascara, that one worked better than this and it was estee as well.

Im sad to write that this mascara smudges like crazy! I loved the brush, and how it defined my lashes and provided nice definition and length...but if a mascara smudges, I really dont want to use it.
Although this mascara was on the expensive side, since it's a department store mascara, I was ready to pay for the price every 3-4 months if this was an HG mascara, but it isn't, at least for me.

I don't know if I just got an off tube but this mascara just didn't do it for me. I like the brush design and I like the idea of "moisture binding," but it took me a good 45 minutes to try and build up any volume from this stuff. It just didn't do much for my lashes...didn't lengthen, volumize, or even separate all that well. Also, when I got some mascara on my waterline, it burned a little...which isn't a good sign to me. On the plus side, though, this mascara did stay put. It never flaked or ran yet was easily removed at the end of the day. Good for you if this mascara is your "one," but from now on I'll stick with my drugstore favorite Revlon Doubletwist.

I love this mascara. It lengthens my lashes and makes them feel so soft. It's more for a natural look though, so if you're looking for dramatic lashes, I wouldn't recommend this. And it does smudge a little bit by the end of the day. But even so, I still love it. And I don't know if I'd buy this (I use my mom's) because it is kinda pricey. But when my mom runs out, maybe I'll buy it. Overall, I love this mascara.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Oily, Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
EDIT: So apparently there are cheaper mascaras for me, that will not smudge like this one, so I decided that for my oily lids, this mascara is a no no.
Overall I like this mascara, because it
c) keeps clumping to a minimum
d) makes my eyelashes feel soo soft
e) it is easy to take off
f) curls eyelashes a bit without eyelash curler
Unfortunately, it smudges quite a bit by the end of the day, so I have to keep wiping underneath my eyes, just in case. i got mine in 01 rich black, which goes quite well with my brown eyes. i definitely recommend this product, but it is not my hg mascara, because i will be on the lookout for ones that does not smudge as much
Age: 36-43 Skin: Very Dry, Fair Hair: Brown Eyes: Green
I have tried this product several times, as I continue to receive GWP sizes when I purchase EL online. I have been hoping that each time I try it, it will somehow improve. Unfortunately this is not the case! No matter how many times I scrap the sides of the wand on the tube, it always feels like I am applying too much mascara. It doesn't lengthen or do anything for my lashes. Plus it flakes off as soon as my eyes tear up, which happens a lot during allergy season! Very annoying!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Other Eyes: Hazel
I LOVE this mascara! it doesnt leave clumps and it not to liquidy, just the right amount of thickness! its wonderful!
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Normal, Fair-Medium Hair: Black, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown
I got a sample of this. When I first used it, I didn't like it. I think the formula was too wet. But like all other mascaras, it gets better when it gets a little drier. I think it's very good at lengthening and separating. Your lashes are still soft. I use it for daytime because it looks natural. It's easy to remove with water. And it is okay at holding a curl. However, I personally prefer more dramatic lashes, so I probably wouldn't repurchase.
