I love the mirror, the compact, the brush, an dthe bumpy different colours pearls. The packaging is really classy. I make a fake tan with this. I feel like a spoiled queen wehen wearing this, yes pricey, but worth it. I had so many compliments from friends, that they went to go buy this product by themselves, I highly reccommnesd this to everyone. IIt cledars and temprorarily covers up acnea nd my bliemishes, and it works it just does, amazing staying power, this is like makeup magic, and great for the usmeery weather, and plus the mixed colours of the pressed powder, give me this summer glow with my otehr cosmetics blending in on my face, I mak eit lookso suntle like I'm wearing no makeup period. Very translucent

I really didn't feel as if this product did much for me. Maybe I should have got a shade darker. I also found it hard to get powder on the brush.

I tried this over the mineral wear liquid foundation, it was really bad, it would separate on my face. But this morning I tried it alone as my foundation and I loved it, even my boyfriend commented in my complexion. It covered flaws, didn't settle into lines and lasted. It looked luminescent, pretty much perfect. I think it should be tried as a foundation. It was defiantly worth the $21. I do think they could have made the jar prettier though, but it really doesn't matter.

I really like this. I use it over foundation, before blush or bronzer. The application can be a bit tricky (the balls keeps finding their way into the hairs on my big brus) but the results are worth it. This gives a lovely "glow" to my face that is subtle, yet impactful. I have bought two of these to date and would buy another.

Use as a highlighter on my cheek bones or I crush up a bead and use as eyeshadow. I don't use this as a all over face powder. I'm not a huge fan, but if you like it the product lasts a long time.

Seeing that many had problems getting enough product on their brushes, here's what works for me. Take out the sponge, screw the lid back on and shake it hard a couple of times. That gives enough loose powder for a couple of applications.
As this is a tad too dark for me, I have only used it on vacation in a tropical climate (with self tanner) so far, and the results have been excellent. I use it as an all over face powder. It takes care of the greasy sheen of physical sunscreen, gives me a flattering glow (I am 40 and don't need any wrinkle highlighting, like many mineral powders do). And the little pearls are fun to use. Will use every day when summer really kicks in and I start the self tanning again. And absolutely repurchase.

This did absolutely nothing for me. It did not control oil, matte skin or give me an noticeable glow. I'd have to swirl my brush in there for ages just to get some product. All it gives me is a little sparkle to my face.

I just love Physicians Formula products. They have excellent ingredients and are reasonably priced (compared to higher end cosmetics). This pearl-powder is great for giving your skin a soft glow. I don't use it all over my face, I don't think my nose needs extra 'glow', but I do brush it over my temples and onto the top of my cheekbone in a backwards 'C' shape after applying blush or bronzer with a smaller blush brush. Lovely!

I would never have bought this except for the excited reviews on this site. I LOVE it. Pearls of Perfection is a goofy name but it does everything everyone said it would -- adds some glow but NOT glitter, evens out instead of accentuate crevices, and just all around adds a little oomph. I think it is good to play with it and see the effects of using it alone (nice for a faked-out natural look) or under or over powder for the best of both worlds. I've been looking for something like this for quite a while. Thank you, reviewers!!!

This is what I wanted Guerlain balls to be; subtle highlighter with sheen, as opposed to shimmer or glitter. I'm pale so my face lacks dimension, this adds the slightest hint of warmth (normally my paleness doesn't take well to warm products, anything yellowish magically turns rusty orange upon contact with my face). It's not the sexy-glow-from-working-out-on-the-beach kind of tan but an I-lead-a-modest-lifestyle-with-just-sufficient-amount-of-sun-exposure kind of vibe, which is really the better option for me because IME products that claim the former just look fake on me.

Mind you this powder's supposed to be translucent so unless you're as pale as me (NW15ish), you won't see the aforementioned warmth. Even then, this makes a lovely highlighter. It's the kind of makeup that people can't see on you unless they know they're looking for it.

Why only 4 stars then, you ask? I have combination skin and this product turns my T-zone greasy within a few hours, so blotting is absolutely necessary. And like all Physicians Formula products, the packaging is ridiculously chunky. I suspect it's an internal control measure to safeguard their factory assets. You know, make everything big and heavy so it can't be 'conveniently taken'. The same goes for us customers, it's so not travel-friendly. After 2 days of carrying it in my purse I got tired of the little balls falling over public bathroom floors. There aren't many balls to begin with, which is kind of sucky considering how much we pay for this drugstore item.

Overall I think Physicians Formula has some great products but isn't as wise in the marketing department. Great products are great, but that's not enough without a decent means of delivering the product to meet customer needs.

I love this powder, it's very light and long lasting on my skin. I've pretty much no complaints except maybe the packaging could be slightly better. Otherwise with a good brush this is pretty amazing.

Cute product. I find it looks lovely when I put it on - I'm quite pale in winter, and it adds a nice "glow", detracting from lines and imperfections, without looking "glittery." I looked at the GOSH version of this product, and there were chunks of glitter left on my hand afterwards.

However, it doesn't have staying power - lasting maybe 4 hours on my dry-ish skin, and the pearls do tend to stick in the brush then fall everywhere. I also think the "translucent" powder is too light for my summer colour.

I'll likely buy again, on a sale, but would give it up in a heartbeat if I find something similar that dispenses better and lasts longer.

I have been using this for a few months now..and to be honest, I never thought it was shimmery at ALL, until i went on here and ready everyone else's review's! I think i will cast a more critical eye when I do my make-up tomorrow! Anywho, I like the product itself as something to set my foundation, I use a stippling brush and swirl it on my face, then spray all over with Evian spray to get rid of the 'powder' look. Biggest issue with this product is that I have lost so many of the darn 'pearls' down the sink :( Or on the floor...or in the brush THEN on the floor. Quite sad. All in all it is a good product, but I don't like the packaging really. Also, I paid 20$ for it at Shopper's Drugmart, so next time I think I might put the money towards a different translucent powder!

First of all, it was so expensive for soo little. I paid $20 plus tax for this at shoppers drugmart. Plus, it's too light for my skin. I see no difference. The sales associates better let me have a full refund for this because I just wasted $20 on something I can't use. All it does is add sparkles which only I can see.

I bought this at a 70% off sale just to try it but I will not be buyinig it at full price because it doesn't really do anytihng. First of all, the sponger thing that comes in the package is horrible for applying the powder and feels really rough against my skin. Also, the powder doesn't do a lot as far as oil control, coverage, etc.

Yippee! This is everything you guys said it was! After my moisturizer settles in and I splat some concealer around my nose, I swirl a good powder brush gently around the 'pearls' , tap of excess and sweep all over my face. Then I buff with kabuki brush, apply some blush and buff again, spritz with pure water and when it dries I have a very naturl, soft, glowing complexion. The blush holds better and I use less. What's not to like?

Yes, the container is cheap so I took off some lippies there but it's a big who cares for me because it's not going anywhere, anyway. I don't think the sponge thingie inside is supposed to be used as a powder buff but just to hold all the pearls in should you wish to put it in a make-up bag. Pretty flimsy.

I have mature, dry, pale skin and this powder does not make my skin oily nor does it settle into places it shouldn't. It does not cake nor does it apply chalky (which is a big beef of mine for most powders in the lighter color spectrum). Gets better and better as the day wears on and feels like nothing on my face. Love it!!!

EDIT: I am still loving this and for everyday use it is the one I go to even more than the mineral foundation, although the mineral gives a beautiful, more finished look for when I need it.
EDIT AGAIN: Love/hate relationship with mineral powders has finally ended. Looks great short term...too drying long term.

I bought this without reviewing the ratings at productville. I just happened to browse through the d/s and liked the concept of this and decided to give it a try. For my daily look I dont use foundation anymore. My essentials for day look are blush (MAC gingerly), eyeliner (MAC blacktrack), sometimes e/s (MAC woodwinked, with MAC antiqued in the crease), lipstick and l/g. To get the "perfect face" look, I use a kabuki brush and lightly brush on Pearls of Perfection translucent powder on my face and neck, and it gives it the smooth look that i want. I guess it sets my make up too. I dont think I will run out of it anytime soon, but would repurchase.

I think this is an amazing drugstore product--evens out the skin and is slightly illuminating. What's not to like for $12.00?
