I love this product! It is the only soap I have used that doesn't dry out my skin. Very mild scent as well. Will definitely buy again!

Excellent soap, extra gentle, I suffer from eczema and this really helps. And I also have food allergies, so when I have urtica, this calms it down and it is just wonderful.

The smell is lovely, and I do feel super clean afterwards, but I find this soap to be a little drying

My favorite soap. I love that it has almost no fragrance so it doesn't interfere with any scented lotion or perfume I'm going to wear later. Other vegetable soaps have left me itchy in certain areas but this one is super gentle and great.

Mhh...I was eager to try this soap as I have been reducing the amount of body washes I use. L'Occitane is a company that has long been hyped and when I saw the deluxe sample for 100pt at Sephora, I picked it up. I think it is a fine quality well milled soap. It does not get a scummy in th shower and it lasted for 2 weeks, with the sample size. The smell is lovely but it is just a bit too drying. My skin feels tight after it and I need lotion asap. It does make a lovely gift for someone if they are trying random soaps as this brand makes really nice gift sets with several different versions. I am not opposed to trying other soaps by them either.

I tried this soap for the first time this morning. It has a light, delicate and clean scent - hard to explain but other reviewers have been right saying it reminds them of babies or their childhood - maybe because it's almost like a freshly washed smell, like when clothes first come out of the dryer all fluffy and smelling lovely. It has just enough of a fragrance to make me excited to use it in the shower and it is subtle enough not to compete with the perfumes I wear. It creates a really creamy lather and my skin feels really soft after using it. I also like that it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, which doesn't always happen with moisturizing soaps. Yes, it's expensive, but cheaper soaps that claim to moisturize just don't cut it for me and I'm willing to pay more for products that actually do make my skin softer.

Best soap that I ever tried for body, last a long time and rinses clean. I love the scent.

I have purchased this product several times. Personally, I like the scent because I do not have to worry about it clashing with whatever fragrance I want to wear. It reminds me of my childhood clean, pure and innocent. The soap never causes my skin to be dry or itchy. It also has a nice lather.

I've been using L'Occitane's Shea Butter soap for a few years and adore it partly for the mild scent, partly for the natural ingredients, but mostly because it doesn't leave soap scum. I've tried other natural soaps, only to find, over time, a film on my skin that is visible when I rub my arm with my finger after drying from a shower. (The first time I saw this, I thought I was still dirty! Then I figured out that it was a layer of soap stuck on my skin.) Another perk is this clean rinsing soap makes the shower easier to clean. I've tried Verbena, but I prefer Milk. A bar lasts me 4 to 5 months. I don't think I will ever use a different soap.

My skin is getting increasingly grumpy and sensitive as I get older, and I was becoming resigned to the fact that I'd always be stepping out of the shower with itchy, tight, irritated skin. I eventually tried a travel-size of the shea butter milk soap and was thrilled with it. Who knew a person could become so attached to something as simple as soap? It has a gentle, clean, scent. It's moisturizing. I can shave my legs with it! (Never could do that with any other bar soap). It leaves no icky residue in the shower or on the skin. I'm not itchy when I step out of the shower, and my skin is happy and healthy-looking. Thrilling!
Yes, its expensive, but the full-sized bar is HUGE. It lasts me almost six months. I also don't mind paying more for a product that is made according to fair-trade principles and in a relatively sustainable manner.
After repurchasing this soap several times, I can't imagine ever using anything else. I've become oddly attached to it, and even take a travel size one with me when I'm on vacation, because I don't want to be without it. :)

I bought this soap (along w/ verbena and lavender) on QVC and ended up paying $10 per bar. Yes, this soap is a large bar and it lathers very well, but it's not so great. What I really don't like is the smell of this soap. It does not have a bad smell, but it also does not smell good. I did use the complete bar of soap because I paid so much money for it. However, I only used it when I was going to stay home. I was afraid that people would still be able to smell that scent on me.
L'Occitane soaps do lather very well, but they're not worth the ridiculous price. I'll stick with Dove.

Excellent moisturizing soap. Very mild, almost non-existent scent. I had to get used to that. I have used on my body and skin with excellent results. Using the soap tin will help preserve the soap from drying out. Will definitely repurchase.

Love L'Occitane soaps. The milk soap has a mild scent, like you might expect for all "milk" soaps. Right now, I'm using it as a hand soap, as well as a soap for the shower. The soap gives a rich lather that rinses cleanly (no gross residue!). Its ingredient list includes shea butter. Very nice.

I was getting tired of slathering on lotion after every shower due to head to toe winter itches, so I went looking for a non-drying soap. I know there are a ton of moisturizing body washes, but I have some strange attachment to bar soap. Have been using now for 3 weeks, & it just hit me this morning that I'm not itchy anymore! Love the smell. It's lasting much longer than the other bar soap the rest of the family uses (yes- I've been keeping it out of reach of little hands.)

Love this soap - the scent is heavenly and the shea leaves my skin nice and clean but mositurized. Somehow - at least for me - the scent does not translate well from the soap to the shower gel - it just smells different.

I love bar soap over liquid soap - it makes you feel squeaky clean . This bar soap is wonderful ,creamy, lathers well and I keep several at home as a stand by and for a fall back soap when I get fed up of using perfumed soap and my ginger savory Origins bar soap. Good basic stuff though it is a little pricey .

I love love love this soap. The soap smells sooooo good. The soap contains shea butter and is so moisturizing. This soap left my skin feel extremely soft when I got out of the bath. I did not even have to use moisturizer like I normally do after a shower or bath. I am a big fan of L'Occitane products because they are made with the best ingredients and they leave your skin smelling wonderful and also hydrated. The milk bar soap 8.8oz soap cost about $10.00. It is a huge bar and it will last a long time. This is definitely an excellent soap and worth the money.

I think this soap is over priced and over hyped for what it does. Its an average to slightly below average soap that smells nice, but is a let down because of what you pay for it. I got the full size bar for $10. Its so big that I drop it in the shower everytime I pick it up, and thus lose some of it as it gets dented. It lathers ok. Does not moisturize at all.

So, the next time I feel like dropping money on a bath product, I will buy something fabulous like a Body Shop Shower Gel that smells great and is easy on my pocket

The scent is soft pleasant and creamy. Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and isn't drying. However, it isn't nearly as moisturising as the best, which I'd expect from such an expensive soap.

But maybe I"ve been spoilt by superior soaps like ones sold by the "Trilogy" brand of "Body cleansing bar with rosehip, aloe vera carrot and chamomile" sold here in New Zealand? That one it so gentle and moisturising it actually feels like I have applied moisturising oil after I've showered with it. :)
