I like it, really like it though it's not a scent I would wear often, it can't be my "signature" perfume. It's fresh and crispy in the beginning and getting sweeter on the dry down on me. It does indeed smell like some sort of a dessert wine. It's a great spring and summer scent, deep enough to please my snobby nose:) and light enough for summertime. It has some note that I can't really detect which gives the scent some interesting champainge effect:) It smells like home made white vines that I tried once in Chinque Terre in Liguria. I adore the place and the scent brings back the wonderful memories for me. It's also very seductive in the lightest possible way, some kind of nice flirt with a lovely person in a lovely scenery...

Grapefruit, lemon or bergamot -- sparkling and leaning a bit towards an aquatic accord. If you like light & tart perfumes, this would be the fragrance for you -- it's easily comparable to department store fragrances. I'm disappointed that I don't detect any champagne sweetness as I expected to. Even though I don't really like citrusy notes in my perfumes, this one would be wearable -- still, I would never get a full bottle of it.

This is ok. It starts of bright and fruity, like a good, sweet Italian dessert wine, and then just fades off into nothing... I stay away from fruity fragrances, and although this is not a terrible one, I just don't find it very interesting. Nice bottle, though.

At first I was pleasantly surprised by the juicy, fizzy melange of grapefruit, peach and champagne that Sauvigonne shrouded me in. However, as time wore on, I found the scent to be too perfumey, too thin and too simplistic. It has no depth or evolution to it whatsoever...I might have been wearing one of those inspid fruity-florals that seems to be bombarding the department stores nowadays instead of a fragrance from the creators of the beautiful and admirably and intricately composed Botrytis...which is fine and all -- these scents do have their purpose and their place -- but one shouldn't have to pay niche boutique prices for them.

OMG this perfume is beautiful! This scent really does smell like a champagne cocktail! Someone used the word effervescent and they are right. I get champagne, grapefruit and a slight peach note from this. A total winner for spring/summer.

i am a big fan of botrytis. but something in my soul called for light and sparkling after a year of lea, botrytis and loukhoum. the fragrance is effervescent. i get a burst of ripe peach, some grapefruit and then the lasting note is dry like champagne.packaging of course is gorgeous.

i just wish it was a tad sweeter and peachier.

Nothing special here, in fact I found it's freshness irritating to my nose. It reminds me of a scent that is very popular but I can't place it right now - maybe pleasures or escape or something. Nothing great here, I was disappointed after being so enamoured with the most unique Botrytis.

I fell in love at first sniff! I'm not good at describing scents but to me, this smells like a champagne cocktail. I get a touch of grapefruit in the beginning and after that it smells sunny, cheerful and just plain beautiful. I can see this one being in my Top Five for a long, long time.

Grapefruit may honestly be the end of me. It refuses to cooperate with my chemistry, and yet I continue on my quest to make it work. I expected more of a woodsiness to this, and was dissapointed in the lack of depth. It is light and fresh, and the grapefruit is the most prominent note in this, while the peach seems to add naught but a sugary sweetness. Agree with the muscat comparison.

Another great offering from Ginestet! I was amazed to discover how much I enjoyed this frag. Usually, I never go for anything that could be described as "clean, fresh and sparkling", but Sauvingonne is far more than just your generic grapefruit-based scent. A touch of white peach keeps it from becoming too sharp and astringent, while box tree adds a sexy, woody, grounding effect. This scent is very appealing in an androgynous sort of way....kind of the olfactory equivalent of a starched, white, man-tailored linen shirt. Crisp, classic, yet slightly provocative on the right person. Just as its sister, Botrytis, seems to be designed to be worn during the fall and winter months, Sauvingonne is perfectly suited for the spring and summer.

This is hands-down my fav spring or summer fragrance. I love anything grapefruit, so it works well on me. Reminds me of a peach and champagne cocktail-- crisp, cool, sophisticated. Not too sweet or cloying. Perfect. Wish it lasted longer.

I have had this sample sitting around for a while and I finally decided to try it on. It is so fresh and clean. At first it smells like you just cut open a sweet grapefruit, then it dries down to a bright muscat wine. Very swank.

Very clean and crisp. Bursts open with citrusy grapefruit. Cool and very cologne like. Although the aroma is pleasent, it is also very average. There is a very strong lemon dry down, making Ginestet Sauvingonne smelling very familair and common.

I was smitten by the fresh, tart juicy notes of Sauvignonne after applying it to my skin. It was very juicy and reminded me of fruit in general rather than specifically grapefruit and peach. It was bright and energetic, but not particularly citrus-like. Unfortunately, it turned into a very average scent a few minutes later. I could swear that I've smelled this exact fragrance before, although I can't remember where. Perhaps it's just the scent of all average fragrances. This one also faded within the hour on me.
