I have been using this stuff for many years, and I really find it essential to my daily routine, though I stopped using BE mineral makeup years ago. Now after cleansing I do this Skin Rev-er Upper, sunscreen, and then my BB cream. In the winter I apply moisturizer on top of the Rev-er Upper, but my skin is somewhat oily, so this isn't necessary in the summer. The Skin Rev-er Upper has salicylic acid and really does a great job of gently exfoliating, and I find it better to use this daily than to do weekly or monthly peels or similar. Maybe this will change as I get older and want or need more dramatic changes, but for now I think this provides the perfect, non-irritating amount of chemical exfoliation every day, and keeps my skin glowing and smooth.

I am here to show some love for BE barevitamins Skin Rev-er Upper. I live in FL and have to deal with heat and humidity most of the time, and the skin rev-er upper is perfect for my needs. I have worn it over my moisturizer, and under it. In either case, I then apply BE Prime Time foundation primer (original) over that combo before applying my foundation. Have any of you ever used a high coverage foundation (like Estee Lauder Double Wear or Revlon Colorstay), and found that as the day went on, your makeup combo looked better and better as your skin's natural oils mixed with your foundation/powder combo? Well, I have found that by adding this product, it gives me that look from the time I apply my makeup. With the combo I previously mentioned, even on a ridiculously hot/humid day, I don't need to apply powder to my t-zone till around 5PM, to freshen up. It seems to plump my 39 y/o skin and work magic for me (used with Clinique DDML + BE Prime Time fndt primer combo). I don't like the initial smell of it, but it dissipates quickly. And believe me, being sensitive to smells, I would never use it again if it did not go away fast. Over all, I would recommend the skin rev-er upper for hot humid weather, and MAC Strobe Cream (in it's stead) during the dry winter months. I will repurchase.

This product was just okay... but it’s not a primer nor is it a corrector at best it’s a moisturizer at best. Wearing this stiff never made any of my foundations last any longer even when used with bare essentials products. The bottle size is okay for the price however if you don’t clean the top of the pump after every use the stuff will dry on it forming this creepy yellow crust.

This has definitely been a life-changing product for me. It is all my normal skin needs in the morning: I see it as a great serum AND primer. My skin looks and feels great all day. I never get bad breakouts when using this. I have been trying and using many other products under my makeup but notice I always gravitate back to this miracle worker!

This is one of the best skincare products I've ever used. For almost 2 years now it's prevented & healed my persistent breakouts probably better than anything else I've ever tried (and that would be a lot). Bare Escentuals classifying this as primer is confusing since it's definitely not what I commonly associate with makeup primer (like Prime Time), and it states on the instructions to "apply under moisturizer or wear alone day & night" which is not how primer is typically applied (after moisturizer and before foundation). This is more like a skincare treatment. I've tried wearing it alone without moisturizer and found it too drying for that, so I appy it under moisturizer & that works perfectly. I really appreciate the hygenic pump packaging. This product is also a bargain at $21 for 2.3 oz. I've already repurchased 3 times.

I received this free in my membership shipment for BE quite a while ago. I kept it in my cabinet and never really knew what to do with it. I have used BE for years although now I am finding in the winter I need more moisture and gravitate to liquid foundation. I started using this one day after I ran out of my daytime serum. I was amazed at how well this helped brighten my skin and keep acne at bay. I use it in the AM after my witch hazel toner. In the winter I follow with a moisturizer. In the summer this goes right under my BB cream (shout out to Boscia and Origins, love them both!!) Its a shame others are not experiencing the same results, but I love this year round. Love the pump, goes a long way. I have yet to repurchase but I certainly will when the time comes!

This product was included in my Bare Escentuals starter kit that I purchased about 2 years ago. I don't use this on a daily basis, only when I apply makeup, which is just now and then. I had actually been putting it on on top of my moisturiser instead of underneath it for a while, and it didn't seem to make a difference. I think it does help my makeup application, however I just use the Bare Escentuals mineral powders, so I couldn't say how it would go with a regular cream/liquid foundation.
Overall, this is a good product but nothing to rave about. It hasn't caused me any skin problems, but it hasn't done anything magical either. Although I like it, I probably wouldn't purchase this again. I'm using it because it came with stuff I wanted.

I will start off by saying that I absoloutley HATE Bare Minerals makeup/mineral foundation. It just doesn't work for me. But, on the other hand, I LOVE this stuff! This actually came with the whole Bare Minerals set that I bought a while back. I don't have acne or anything, but every now & then when I would get a random little pimple somewhere, this would clear it up (gently) by the next morning! This also made my complexion brighter. This is probably the only thing I would ever buy from this line again. This is definitely worth it. This dramatically reduces pimple size by a lot if used overnight or under makeup. I reccommend.

I got this in the starter kit, and to be honest I don't see any difference when I apply it. I have tried my foundation with and without it and my foundation looks the same. I also don't see my skin "improving" with the use of this product.

I've read a couple of reviews for this product and none of them suggest the way I have been using it.
I have acne scarring, pigmentation etc and I found the best way to use this product was in the evening after my shower and before applying my moisturiser.
It helps keep my skin smooth and works well in helping acne scars to heal, not for helping makeup adhere to the skin.
I thought this would irritate my skin and cause more breakouts but it actually does help keep it smooth and clear. Sure, I still breakout but not as much as I would if I wasn't using it.

It’s somewhere in between a serum and a primer, but doesn’t play either role well enough. It’s often listed as and referred to as a primer, or general product that preps the skin for makeup. But it’s not as effective as Prime Time. t also has the same problem as Prime Time in regards to the pump dispenser that becomes wasteful when you reach the end of the bottle. I don't think it's rich enough to replace your regular moisturizer either. Probably good for multi-tasking people who don't take their skincare routine too seriously, but it's not good enough for everyone else.

I got this with my first Bare Minerals kit forever ago, and I still use it. It's not remarkable though. It doesn't break me out but I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in my skin, either. I wasn't under the impression that it was any sort of primer - I thought it was a moisturizer, and that's how I've been using it. I mean, I'll use it until it's gone, no point in throwing it away, but at the same time, it's not worth buying. I wouldn't recommend this.

I've been using this product for a couple of years now. I wear it instead of any moisturizer (my skin is neither dry nor oily). I am very sensitive to moisturizers, have yet to find one that doesn't make me break out (FYI, I normally buy expensive skin care products like Chanel, Dior so I find this product very inexpensive compared to what I spend on my other products). This gives me just enough moisture to keep my face from drying out during the day and has never made my skin break out. The only downside is that it doesn't have an SPF in it (it's not meant for that, but I would love it if it did!!).

Absolutely Useless! First off, I received this with the bare minerals starter kit. I would always put it on under my powder/foundation and tricked myself into thinking it worked. It does nothing for my skin. It does not cause the powder to adhere to my skin, does not last through sweat, does not give a dewy look, NOTHING!!! On top of that it smells gross, like bathroom cleaner. I will never buy this again. Only positive is it did not cause me to break out when worn alone.
Side Note: I stopped using BE because their powders/shadows/bronzers/blushes irritate my skin.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I expected to hate it and I actually really like it. I like that it has glycolic acid in it but does not sting or cause my skin to turn red at all. I have used it both day and night on some days and I find that my skin definitely has a nice glow to it on those days. I cannot tell if this product helps fade pigmentation left over from breakouts or not because I use a lot of other things but it's a nice product. I like the consistency of the product and it absorbs easily into my skin. The smell is not my favorite. I think I would repurchase this product. It has not caused me to break out at all and my skin looks nice after I use it.

I got this a while ago online for a cheap price, so I decided to give it a try. It claims to be able to improve the condition of acne skin overtime. I have been using this for 3-4 months now and I apply it diligently before my toner, and after my moisturizer twice daily. However, it seems to have done nothing for me. :( I definitely will not be repurchasing this product.

A so-so product for me. I was having some issues with acne and thought I needed a good salicylic acid treatment. I tried it every way I could, underneath my moisturizer at night, then in the day time, as a primer, as a moisturizer and I just don't get this stuff! It did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't notice I single improvement in my skin and I didn't notice anything go wrong either, my skin just stayed the same. It has lasted me several months and I will keep using it just so I feel like I didn't waste my money but there Is no way I will be repurchasing. A few good things about this: at $21 dollars I don't feel like it is an expensive item and had it worked for me I would have no problem paying it again. The pump packaging it also nice and I appreciate the "natural" ingredients and no-animal testing.

I have been so happy with this brand in general that I was willing to try the skincare line in addition to the makeup. Every time I try a new makeup line or foundation, I always find myself going back to this. So on my last trip in the store I picked this up to try with my usual products. Since it has salicylic acid AND glycolic acid in it (both ingredients which can make your skin a bit sensitive when exposed to sunlight) I decided to try it at night. Just to clear this up, this is NOT a moisturizer. You use this under your moisturizer, which is what I did before I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, WOW! My skin was so smooth!! Salicylic acid and glycolic acid chemically exfoliate the skin, plus my cleanser gently manually exfoliates. The combination of the two made my skin much smoother than it's been in a long time. Also, my skin did not feel oily at all when I woke up, whereas it normally does without the use of this product. I can see myself purchasing this again in the future. I'd definitely recommend!

For a basic moisturizer for those with oily/breakout prone skin, this is an ok option. It has a decent amount of salicylic acid which helps calm redness and breakouts as well as glycolic acid that helps to exfoliate the skin. It's light weight enough not to make skin feel greasy and slick and can be worn under foundation as a primer.
