I'm so torn on this. The colour and finish is amazing, they hit the nail on the head when they described it as 'red vinyl', however, it's so hard to work with. Bleeds like crazy, that's to be expected, but somehow it gets *everywhere*. It's quite sticky too, so once it's on skin or teeth, it's staying there! If you're prepared to put in the work, it's worth it, although it could be cheaper (bought at $55 in Australia. eep.)

I'm discovering more and more that I just love Nars lip glosses. I have so many different brands and to me, I don't think there's any that top the quality of this one. I like the consistency, the feel, opacity, the length of wear - I'm a habitual lip licker and biter, so there you go. Now onto this particular color I just happen to pick up. Well for starters, I can't stop looking at it - you just swipe a lil bit on and it's like a lipstick - that opaque and thick! So you don't need to put this over a lipstick because it's enough by itself! I think with the small amount that you use at a time, shows that it's probably going to last a good long while. Such a nice shine too! For the color, I would describe it as a real true red - very bold and vibrant - like bright red Jeep red lol - I think it would definitely be a head turner - I haven't worn it out yet, but like I said, I can't stop looking at it myself! We'll just have to see what happens when my Illamasqua Succubus comes in... So would I repurchase? Fer sure! Although, I don't think I'll need to anytime soon!

As a lover of red lippies...this is one that I actually bought a backup for! This is the most amazingly awesome pigmented l/g for a red! It is a touch thick for a l/g but that really doesn't both me too much. I do line my lips w/Barcelona (Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick)...just use as a liner. There's no need to fill in my lips. Keeps this amazing l/g looking pristine!

I did a review of this on my blog with swatches etc so its really explained here: littlemissmaquillage.blogspot.com, but I love this lip gloss, its a great consistency and can be worn opaque for nights out or blotted on for bee-stung lips! Love, Vee

Okay this is a very thick gloss, that isn't really a gloss. Its basically a lipstick in a tube! It does leave a shiny finish, but after an hour it dries and is no longer shiny. It dries down to a slightly sticky and dry feeling. Not too bad, i can put up with this. The color does fade about 40% after 3 hours. You need a lip liner or this with feather like crazy after 2 hours. It's not the easiest to apply too. If this accidently gets on your cheek its hard to wipe up, leaves a red stain. Very powerfull stuff, so you dont want to messy up and you better have a steady hand! This is the only red that looks okay on me though, so i love it. I have 2 of these from TJMaxx

i love the shade and intensity of this lipgloss, and the texture is actually not too bad. it is a little thicker than i like my lipglosses to be, but it stays put very well which i'm assuming is due to the thickness. good work on this one, nars.

LOVE this lipgloss. probably the favorite red I own as of now. It's really opaque and sticky, which I like because it lasts longer. I can use this alone and get luxurious red lips without lipstick or lipliner. Really the perfect red. Has excellent staying power as well.

LOVE. Amazing, thick, opaque, pin-up, blood-red gloss that's more like a liquid lipstick. Not one to be applying without a mirror or on a bumpy bus ride. Looks great with my colouring (see review image above). I have two other NARS glosses (Bad Education, Dolce Vita) and the texture of this lipgloss is the thickest of the three. Although the gloss wears off in much the same time as most other glosses, it leaves behind a lovely, cherry-coloured stain that I have to use makeup remover/cleanser to remove completely. I will experiment with using the other red lipsticks in my stash as a base and layering this on the top. Probably not the best shade of lipgloss to be wearing to my conservative workplace but definitely good for nights out, or in... I bought it for about AU$25 off Strawberrynet which is excellent value considering NARS lipglosses cost AU$55 to buy retail. I already have a sizeable collection of red lipsticks but this is like nothing else I own, so I would repurchase.

When applied like any other lip gloss, this product scares me. Really scares me. I can't possibly pull this off, even if it was Halloween, I'd be concerned about how distracting my lips would look. This is the reddest red, full color, shiny but not super shiny lip gloss imaginable. It's for hardcore color lovers only. Those who take real risks with their makeup. Those who are nothing like this reviewer. I got a smaller tube of this in a NARS lip gloss set for cheap at TJ Maxx, so I wasn't super upset that I didn't end up liking it. HOWEVER, I found a way to like it! I apply it like any other lip gloss, wipe off with a tissue, and I have what looks like a very evenly applied, pretty, reddish pinkish lip stain. Success! I wouldn't buy it again, and I wouldn't call it a winning product by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd recommend people giving this technique a try. I'm pleased with the results.

If you're looking for the reddest of all reds, this is the one for you. when i was trying it out on the back of my hand at the counter, I was a bit surprised that it's not really that glossy. I would say that it is my favorite red right now. some pics can be found here. http://pbscolorfulworld.blogbus.com/logs/45623318.html. One thing that's kinda annoying is that it wears off pretty quickly, so you do need to remember to reapply quite often.

This is by far the most beautiful red lip colour I've ever seen IMHO, and I have been *seriously* into my reds since my very early teens. sadly, I also find it to be the most infuriating.

I would love nothing more than to be able to rock this gloss on a daily basis (vinyl lips an' all :) ), but oooh lordy, the feathering, the trailing, the constant reapplication and the red-smeared teeth! I have some pretty cast iron methods to stop the feathering, instinctively lick my teeth after applying any lip colour and have no problems with reapplying often (given how beautiful I find this colour), but the trails that a stray hair can leave spread across one's cheek are infuriating, and of course, you're only likely to be made aware of them if you check closely in a mirror.

I do wear this out to clubs and parties, but only with my hair tied back off my face, and I frequently head to the bathroom to reapply. As I say, it *is* stunning (and the compliments tend to come in thick and fast!), but it's super high maintenance, I'm afraid.

Hate doe foot applicators but it works, fairly petit container for price. I tried wearing without a liner, bad idea. Without a liner this will settle into creases and feather. With a liner (I used NARS dragon girl) have not experienced either trailing or feathering. Nice shine in what I would call a bright blue red. My main complaint is that it sometimes clumps or deposits at the edges of lips and wears pretty quickly. After a few hours reduces to an almost red magenta type color. Oh and hello teeth cling.

Wow! Finally a red to be excited about! I don't know why i kept passing this by at sephora. Actually i do know why, i thought it was going to be a semi sheer orangey red, which would be pretty, but not my favorite. I got this in a limited mini pack and when i tried it on- BAM! From the first swipe i said 'oh my god!' outloud by myself in my bathroom haha. It is a rich, bright opaque red lacquer. The color is so clean and filled with light, but not over the top or garish. It has a tiny bit of tomato in it that just makes it pop, but its not too warm (im super cool toned, cant do the oranges.) I love the applicator with this formula, its a snap to paint on the perfect lip without liner or another brush. It stays on forever, and its a red that can be dressed down or taken way glam because of the shine it has. Oooh im so excited, my new favorite red!

Gorgeous color, when I saw this in Sephora I immediately though of Joan from Mad men. The gloss is as opaque as a lipstick, yet it adds a shine to it that won't wear off. I'm tempted to go out and buy some red vinyl boots to match.

I love love love this. It's my favorite red lipgloss. It's very opaque, the staying power is amazing, and it looks wonderful with my fair skin and copper red hair. I would highly recommend this to anybody who loves (and can successfully pull off) the look of red lips.

A true full-coverage red vinyl gloss. Pretty but somehow average too, won't ever be as pretty as UD's discontinued lipgunk in KISS.

I was persuaded to buy this even though I thought the color was far too bold for me. I found the product sticky but the staying power amazing. It glides pretty smooth with easy application and just the right amount of shine. I do like the the overall look (though I'm sure another color would've been better) but I find the stickiness a turn off. Hair sticking to your lips is a hassle on a windy day.

This gloss is serious. It's not kidding. It delivers the KAPOW where need be. Seriously. I don't even think any color will show up under this baby but red. This is a true red with no blue or orange undertones. The texture... I would say that its a liquid lipstick. It is slightly hard to spread but I had no problems doing so with a lipbrush. I don't reach for it that often because I like more subdued natural-y lips but sometimes I would use this gloss as a lipstain if i wanted some zhng to my look. Be warned... this thing is not easy to remove. So make sure you're just not slopping it on... Worth the price for the seriousness.
