Definitely my HG!!! I was using a matte brown eyeshadow until my sister introduced me to this. It's always on sale at the PX so she buys a bunch at one time there. Unlike others, I don't mind the little brush it comes with, probably because I have thin eyebrows. It works just fine for me...I use dark brown. My hair has a somewhat natural ombre effect. My roots are dark brown, almost black and my ends are a golden brown/auburn color. My eyebrows are actually black, but since they are not thick or jet black, the brown actually looks better since it matches my hair better. Packaging sucks, but I love the product!

This one was not a winner for me. I have tan skin and black hair (including my brows). I found the charcoal-colored shadow I was using to fill in my brows a bit harsh, so after reading the raves on here about this product (by those with black hair as well), I though I would give the dark brown color a try. It didn't work for me. It was too light, looked more obvious on my brows (especially those sparser inner corners) than the charcoal color I was using before. I gave this a low score because it only comes in two colors: light brown and dark brown, and while I think they would work for the MAJORITY of people, neither will work well if you have BLACK eyebrows. I guess I should have figured that, but the reviews said otherwise.
Over all, the formula seems fine, a softer powder. The brush is terrible, as the other reviews have suggested, but would probably work in a pinch. I used it with my own angled brush. The packaging is like other Maybelline shadows...cheap looking, but the top is clear, so you know what color it is without having to open it up.
On the plus side, this will make a nice cheek contouring color as there is no shimmer in it, and for my skin tone it is just the perfect shade for that. Too bad I don't contour my cheeks that often.

Got this in Dark Brown to try it out. Wanted to avoid the red tones that other reviewers said were in the lighter brown and CVS was out of medium brown so I gave the dark a shot. I really like it! It's definitely better than using eyeshadow to fill in, which I have before (Mac charcoal brown). It blends in easier somehow. Great formula, smooth and not chalky at all. I didn't use the sucky brow applicator included, I used Mac's 263 to apply and its perfect for that. This color is actually really natural on me, and versatile. If I get the typical amount of brow powder on it, it darkens my brows about 1 shade yet it looks very natural. It's like a medium-dark brown, definitely not anything close to black so it just makes my brows more defined and prominent if that's the look I'm going for that day. I found out today though that I can get my exact brow color by just applying it very softly and lightly, so its definitely a versatile color! It blends in beautifully. You should check it out when there's a sale at the drugstore or Ulta! It's a great drugstore find and I'm picky about drugstore beauty products. I'm going to be stocking up in the other colors too for my makeup kit.

Okay, so....I literally just bought this a few hours ago and couldn't wait to get home and try it. AT FIRST, I was about ready to throw it in the trash. Reason being, as many other reviews have said, the applicator that you get to apply the powder with sucks!! It made my eyebrows super thick (I do like thicker but not fake looking) and quite un-natural looking. Luckily, because of the fact that I had read reviews on this product first, I knew to buy a separate eyebrow applicator. I don't know the official name...if there even is one so that's what I call it, the thing you apply the powder with ;) I applied this powder with a super fine applicator and the results turned out nice! I made the mistake of overplucking when I was younger and was left with VERY sparse eyebrows. I always used a pencil to fill them in and never fully realized how drawn on they looked until tonight. I took a before and after photo, one with penciled in eyebrows and the other with this powder and what a surprising difference! I also purchased both shades since I wasn't sure which one would work best. I have dark, almost black hair, brown eyes and fair skin. I thought the light brown would be way too light but it is near perfect I'd say. Didn't even bother using the dark brown so I guess it will be going back. The only thing I'm a little worried about is I have no idea what the staying power is like and I'm a little worried about rainy days...hmmm but maybe it will be fine. Anyway, this product has good reviews for a reason...give it a go! ;)

This is what I use on my brows and I get a lot of compliments on them. It is much more natural-looking than a brush and it lasts forever. I used to use the one for brunettes, but I switched to the one for blondes to see one day. Actually, I always use the one for blondes now even though I have really dark eyebrows because it looks the best. Sometimes I put this stuff on my cheekbones b/c it works like bronzer too.

I bought the light brown and it has a reddish tint that bothers me. I don't want red in my eyebrows. Also the brush is too dense and pretty useless. Why this product has such a high rating is beyond me.

I have used this for eons and I totally love it. I love the cheap price, the fact that one pan lasts forever, and the medium brown is the perfect color for me - looks very natural and just disappears into my brows. Lasting power is OK, not great in the summer if you sweat at all. Brush doesn't last as long as the rest of it - tends to get all clogged up with powder so I use a Bobbi Brown brush with it. Overall, a great product. Will be repurchasing forever.

For years I bought pencil brow fillers. NO MORE! I have been using this product for several years and its soooo easy to apply. fills in without pencil marks and looks more natural. This is a great product and for the price you can't beat it. I just wish it was WATERPROOF and when i drop it the case didn't break but what can you expect with tile flooring??

Lasts all day. Looks natural. Where has this been all my life? I don't know why I was hesitant to leave pencils behind, but I'm glad I finally tried this product. I didn't find the brush hard to work with either which is surprising since I'm a novice. Along with threading, this makes a big difference in the look of your brow.

This is perfect for me. I have black hair (although people tell me it's actually just really dark brown) and pale skin so if I tried using a pencil for the small "bald" spots in my brows I'd end up looking like a chola/like I'm about to attack you instead of getting neat, shapely brows. So when I discovered this, I knew I wouldn't have to keep searching! I use the dark brown with a Sephora angled brush. The brush it comes with isn't THAT bad for being one that cones with a d/s product (we all know they SUCK) but I think a seperate angled brush works better. It looks natural and is buildable. It's cheap and it lasts forever. Will definitely repurchase...in however many years it takes to finish this one!

I have this in dark brown. This is a great, inexpensive DS brow powder. The powder itself has good pigmentation and can easily be built from very natural and light to an opaque med. brown. I don't think its very "dark" brown though. It's kind of similar to MAC espresso... As its not a dark ash brown - but a milk chocolate brown that has a slight golden tone. The brush that comes with it is useless though and scratchy. But still, you get a good amount of product for a good price.

I have been using this product in dark brown for several years. I works extremely well for filling in brows naturally. I don't have thin brows, but I do like to have them defined, so I brush this on and follow it with clear brow gel (I prefer Cover Girl clear mascara ) for nice brows.

I needed some brow powder for traveling & didn't want to spend much, so I figured I couldn't lose with good old Maybelline. I read through all the MUA reviews & followed the advice of others with my coloring, i.e. brunette w/black brow hair, who recommended Light Brown. They were spot on - even in the store, you can tell that the Dark Brown shade is red-based while the Light is more ash/taupe. It's a well-known makeup artist trick to use taupe on dark hair because it blends in (reddish tones have too much contrast & stick out). Very natural-looking. My sole gripe is that it could be just a shade darker, but since I usually define my brows with a little taupe pencil in addition to the powder, it won't be a problem. The tiny brush is actually the right tool since the bristles are stiff & the package is neat & slim. I've used MAC (of course discontinued) & Clinique powders before but no more wasting extra $ - Maybelline works.

love this, great product for the price! it goes on soft and natural, and the pricepoint is amazing. the color fits just right and i am asian so i have fine brow hairs but dark in color. its a large pan that lasts more than 6 months so far, and way better than even the more expensive brand like Anastasia which costs $23. for 1/4 the price, you just cant beat Maybelline. I apply this with a eyebrow brush I got from Sephora and it gives just the right amount of color and not too stiff so that it goes on natural. I then apply a clear grow gel to set it and help the powder stay longer throughout the day (I tend to rub my face and forget I have make up on). love love love.

Just purchased based on reviews especially in my age group. I too have thinning brows that need to fill in. The problem is this is so powdery that it doesn't adhere to skin esp. the outer edges and if you press too hard it doesn't look natural. The color is warm. I did try another brush and still not great. I feel sometimes let down by reviews to trust about products here.
UPDATE: I started using this over my Wet n Wild brow pencil and it stays. It needs a wax base to have staying power. It's still a bit warm but over a wax with an ashy base, it will work.

Comes with a great thick bristled angle brush. Works great. I use so little of it and I use it everyday. Really makes my brows look a little too red. I would not recommend it for blondes, but for brunettes, it's probably great.

I used to work as an aestitician & I am obsessed with eyebrows. If I see a product I have to try it....I swear this is the BEST of them all!
I found this years ago when I went to Boston & forgot some of my makeup. I wanted something cheap as it only had to last me for the weekend. I noticed Ultra Brow right away b/c Maybelline doesn't sell this product in Canada.
It comes with the tiniest, crappy looking little angle brush ever, and it's AWESOME!! The bristles are tough & they allow you to get exact precision to make even the most OCD person out there happy.
I know I'm going on & on but it was just by such chance that I found this product & I use it every day. It still isn't available in Canada so I usually stock up & order 6 or so at a time - the brush wears out long before the powder does, but it's so inexpensive, I'd honestly buy it for the brush & throw the extra powder away.

I have the dark brown one and its a bit too light and too warm. Im able to darken it a bit by wetting it but its still too light for my brows.
