I love the use me first clarifying shampoo that has replaced this name. It does not contain any sulfates. The ingredients: aqua, infusion of rice amino acids & ascorbic acid & tocopheryl acetate & PCA & panthenol b5, disodium cocoyl glutamate, cocamidopropyl hdroxysultaine, sodium methyl taurate, disteareth-75 IPDI, methyl gluceth-20,isododecane, isohexadecane, EDTA, glycereth-2 cocoate 7 benzoic acid, parfum.
I have thick coarse dry hair and it felt very soft and not stripped. It is clear and has a pleasant scent. I would recommend if you have oily hair, that you wash twice. The product is very concentrated so you do not need alot. Make sure you hair is completely saturated with water in order for it to work effectively. I think this is the gentlest clarifying shampoo every made. I refuse to use anything else!

This fine shampoo, one of the best for hard water situations (if you're not allergic to anything in it), seems be on the verge of being replaced by a different product called "Use Me First."
I have tried "Use Me First," and it made my hair feel terrific for a while: nice lather, quick rinse, and great combout (usually difficult with my fine, thin, highlighted hair).
The drawback was that within an hour of using the product, I had a rash on my cheeks and neck. After a few days of misery, I went to my dermatologist, who patch tested me for sensitivity to cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB), a foaming agent present in almost EVERY shampoo and skin cleanser in the western world--and one which was also named "Contact allergen of the year" in 2004 by a specialized dermatological society.
My patch test was positive, so I am allergic to CAPB--and to its cousins, as well: All ingredients with similar names may cause a 'cross-reaction,' and "Use Me First" contains 3 such compounds. In addition, my doc pointed out that "Use Me First" contains TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, which is just innocent-sounding Vitamin E, but happens to be a powerful allergen for many people. He mentioned that the sulfates in cleansers (which have such a bad rap) can be irritants, but are not usually things that cause a true allergic reaction. In other words, sulfates might not be your best friends in shampoos, but they're not enemies. Cocamidopropyl betaine and Vitamin E, on the other hand, really can be enemies to those with sensitive skins and allergy problems.
So, those of you who get mysterious itchies after shampooing might want to check the list of ingredients for these two suspicious characters.

I love this clarifier. It is different from most I have tried. You shampoo this in like a normal shampoo and let it sit for at least 1 minute, I usually do at least 5 minutes. After you rinse this out you shampoo your hair with a regular shampoo. This leaves my hair feel so clean and soft, never stripped. This is definately a HG for me!!

This is a great clarifying shampoo which leaves my hair nice and soft, unlike most others which leave it ending up looking and feeling like straw.

This stuff is great! My hair is quite dry, and I was a little nervous about using a clarifying shampoo, but I do use a lot of product, so I guess it was necessary.
Anyway, I followed the directions (massage into wet hair, leave at least one minute, shampoo out) and straight away, my hair felt so silky and smooth!
Now that its dry it feels better than ever, still all silky and soft.
And Im pretty sure that it doesnt contain any cones/sulfates! Two totally excellent thumbs up!

I use this before each hair coloring. It's a great clarifier to remove anything from the hair so you the color can take without any buildup getting in the way. UPDATE: This product is now Mastey Use Me First hair purifier in a new clear bottle.

This is a great clarifying shampoo! It does its job, but doesn't feel drying at all. I use it 2x/week. It's pretty cheap too. I got it for around $6 at expresshairandbody.com along with Enove and Frehair. It isn't a creme like some Mastey shampoos- plenty of lather. The smell isn't even close to good, but it's tolerable.------edited- I think these shampoos are making my scalp break out. Too bad, because my hair looks fantastic. I have a very sensitive scalp so I don't think anyone else should shy away from this.
