I recently died my hair "ombre" and my ends a very dry and damaged! So i went to sally's and the associate recommeded i try this product. I was kind of effy in buying it because it was 99 cents but i said wth i need something! I went home and tried it left it on for 15 min. rinsed it off and my hair was very managable and soft! I decided to let my hair air dry overnight while i slept... well this morning when i woke up my hair especially my ends were VERY VERY DRY!! I was hoping to see even better results once my hair was dry but unfortunatly i didnt! I will not buy this product again!

So I picked up the trial size & first tried it out on my sister because her hair is waaay more damaged than mine.
We left it in for the recommended 5 minutes even though I thought we should leave it in longer.
While I didn't mind the scent, it wasn't my favourite. My sister loved the cherry smell & that it stayed in her hair for a few hours.
Anyways, we rinsed it out well & her hair was definitely more manageable
Once it was dry, though it wasn't as soft as I thought it would be.
Just tried this on myself last night, but I wrapped my conditioner smothered hair in plastic wrap & left it on overnight.
What a difference a few hours makes! My hair is so soft & shiny. & it didn't shed as much as it normally would have.
I would recommend this product if you're looking for an overnight or few hours treatment. But if you're looking for immediate results, I would suggest finding something that delivers better results in only five minutes.

When I was younger I loved this product my mom used to get it for me in the summer for my dry and chlorine poisoned hair.
But a few weeks ago I got the tube of it for like 10 dollars and I used it everyday for about 2 weeks and it really didn't feel like my hair was very moisturized. I had to use a lot and I'm almost out. I thought it was pretty expensive for something that didn't work..

2 stars earned because it did condition but it was not beneficial to my hair.

I have thick dry hair that has been processed with bleach in the past.

My hair is doing really good, not breaking or stretching, it is just dry. I needed a leave-in treatment for I could improve the dryness in my hair. A store associate recommended this little packet but its not worth it if your hair has actually had damage.

If you need a subtle condition, NOT FOR EXTREME CASES OF DRYNESS OR DAMAGE, go ahead and try it.

Smell is not horrible, it is all on preference. It is cherry-like.
Yes, these balls found in the conditioner do seem to be useless.

It didn't do anything special.

Not effective, my hair just feels like it would after a normal wash.

I have damaged hair on places where I bleached it, if I wash my hair without conditioner it would be hell to comb it into place. I bought this hoping to bring normality back into my hair as an extra boost in conjunction to just conditioning. Honestly, I don't notice any difference at all in the softness of my hair which conditioning does the job just fine. If even there was a slight improvement immediately after using last call (which was difficult notice), the effects do not last long. (I have thick Asian hair if that helps)

I went to Sally's to purchase some hard water shampoo, since we just moved to an area that has it. My hair is not used to the damage the hard water causes so, on a whim, I bought a sample for $.99. After a few days of just using the Ion hard water shampoo/conditioner, my hair still felt damaged. I used this tonight and OMG AMAZING! I towel dried my hair while in the shower then put this in for 5 minutes. It's amazing. My hair is super soft and smells so yummy! My hair tangles easily but after this, I can run my fingers through my hair and get no tangles. It's so light and fluffy.

I plan on purchasing a big tub for use once a week (or more). I also want to try leaving it in my hair overnight to see if there is any change. I mean, it's not like my hair could be any softer but hey - I can dream, right?

I used this after I bleached my hair a few months ago, and it made my hair feel a lot softer and healthier after one use. I could actually run my hand through my hair again. Very good product especially for the price.

Okay, so my hair is super fried and beyond fixing so I thought I would give this a try. So I kinda did my own thing vs. following the printed instructions on the tub of it. I washed my hair, towel dryed it, put this product all over my hair (Cherryish scent ) and put my hair in a shower cap and slept all night with this in my hair. When I rinsed it the next morning, my hair was SUPER soft, and wasn't weighed down. I plan on doing this at least once a week, because it's starting to get my hair back to it's former glory. I bought a full size tub of it from Sallys, and I am happy with my purchase :) I just got my own habit of using it. The price I pay for being bleach blonde!

I used this "masque" a few months ago after buying a sample of it for .99 cents and I don't remember it doing a thing. What I do remember was the medicinal cherry scent. It smells just a little bit too much like cherry cough syrup, which, for personal reasons, gives me a bad gag reflex at this point. It also had these little balls in it which wouldn't break apart and didn't seem to really DO anything. Presently the other half of the sample packet (which has enough in it for two applications) remains at the back of my shower caddy in the "fail" pile. And the full-size jars of this at Sally's remain conspicuously well-stocked every time I stop in.

My opinion? This is the result of an overly large focus on marketing, including packaging and "brand image" and lack of focus on R&D. Come to think of it, Beyond the Zone's products are all like that: they're really hit or miss. Half of the products are great. And the other half are almost like corporate "afterthoughts" using outdated formulations. It's almost like one of the higher-ups decided, "Hey, we need a deep conditioner! Everybody else offers deep conditioner and we need one too if we're going to stay competitive in today's market!" Except nobody knew what the heck was supposed to be in it. So they took the formulation off the DOW website (check it out - the base ingredients are exactly the same, except for the Kaolin. By the way, what the heck is kaolin doing in there?), slapped it in a cool-looking jar, and went about their business.

I gave it 2 stars anyway, because, hey, it's just a conditioner; it's not that bad. It's just nothing special. (I try to reserve 1 star ratings for things which I believe ought to be outright avoided, and, conversely, 5 star ratings for things which I consider absolute necessities.) Obviously, I would not recommend this to those hoping for deep conditioning, because that just isn't what you're getting. But if you're looking for a cheap multi-use packet of decent conditioner for a trip or something, and you're not bothered by the smell of Cherry Robitussin, this could work. Also, if your hair is pretty healthy to begin with, and you're just looking for something light which won't weigh down your hair and make it easier to wet-comb, then this could work for you, in my opinion. Sorry for the long, detailed review. I like to cover all my bases. Hope this helps someone make an informed choice.

Followed directions, left on for 15 minutes. Did absolutely nothing for my naturally curly, color-treated, very dry and frizzy hair.

Got this stuff on a whim for 99 cents.

I feel that I should state that I'm half African American and Asian. So, I have long, black, thick, curly hair with straight ends. I relax my hair but not as often as I read and heard. I love my hair straight so I flat iron my hair once a week, but I have really bad split ends and very dry hair. I recently dyed the bottom half of my hair red and I can tell my hair is worn out.

Now, I washed my hair normally, towel dried, then applied this stuff to it then, rinsed it out. I didn't mind the smell at all since everyone liked how my hair smelled, but I didn't noticed anything different about the health, look, or texture of my hair.

All in all: Nothing. I do feel like I won't get results just using this stuff only once but, I wished that this stuff would do SOMETHING. It did nothing. I might just have stubborn hair though. =)

I really like this product. I have colored my hair every color under the sun. I'm trying to be as careful with my hair, and give it a break. I use this after i shampoo and condition. I use a good bit of product, and run it through my hair. I leave it in for about 10 minutes. It leaves my hair very soft and shiny.

I used to have hair that when wet, you could feel how damaged it was, and when dry, well, you couldn't even run your fingers through it. I must say my hair is in much better condition now because of this, and I will buy again! The only thing I don't really care for is the extreme fruity smell. It's very intense. I do recommend this for people who have bleach/colored hair!

Love this! It smells like cherries and leaves my hair super soft. It's a super deep beige conditioner with purple beads. It doesn't weigh your hair down one bit. It's a must for flat iron/blowdryer lovers. Regular use will keep your ends super healthy so they won't break. It's great if your trying to grow your hair out also.

I bought this product for the first time a few months ago after amazing results from Beyond Tye Zone's straightener heat protector. At first the smell was weird for me and I almost hated it but after a few uses I loved it and I take a big whiff every time I use it now.

My hair is super oily and extremely dry and brittle on the ends. I like the purple beads because they hold nutrients that would die if they weren't kept in a container like the little purple balls. My hair felt amazing after I used it and it still does after all this time. I use it on the pony tail area of my hair so it doesn't make my roots greasy. I leave it on as long as possible and it helps detangle my hair. I have to use a large amount to really let it all soak in and my bug tub lasts me for about 2 months because I use it 4 or more times a week and my hair is long. With the sample package, I could use it twice before it ran out when I had shorter hair. I've gotten all my friends on it because they always say I have soft hair.

I used this after I lightened my hair and then dyed it. There are these little purple balls in it that do nothing. They are hard to smash and just in my hair. I already had damage before I did the bleaching but I was hoping this conditioner would help a little. It had no slip at all and left my feeling drier than before I used it. It also stinks.

my hair is thrashed from a keratin straightener & it's definitely softer & shinier, it seems like it has a little more life to it, without me having to put as much effort into it. this seems like it would be great before a blowout. it reminds me of cholesterol. i left this on for 20 minutes with a foil type shower cap to keep in the heat. this product says for battered & abused hair-mine is colored, relaxed, & been regularly blown out & flat ironed for years. i think if your hair is fairly healthy, this isn't for you. it also stinks horribly like cherry cough syrup. i see people equating it to food, but it has a medicinal smell to me.

(For reference- I have long - thin blonde hair over colored with somewhat damaged ends. Tangles & knots after shower 100% of the time. Caucasian hair.)

This smells exactly like cherry cough syrup, which is gross considering how many other things they could have made it smell like. I opened it up and put in my shampooed hair for about 5 minutes, perhaps a little longer.

It was thick like body butter moisturizers, and a peachy color. I noticed little purple beads that popped into sparkles when you rub them in your hands. (The sparkle didnt seem to linger in my hair at all). I applied it to just the roots in case it was thick and waited.

While washing it out of my hair it seemed to come out easily without leaving a rats nest. I allowed it to hair dry and found it was very difficult to detangle and the cherry smell still lingered. I used V05 detangler spray which helped some, but overall it was more difficult to comb than it usually is with regular conditioner. The V05 helped minimize the cherry smell, although it did not completly dissipate until the hair completely dried.

Did it leave it moisturized and softer in the end? Not only did this product FAIL to leave my hair moisturized, softer, stronger, supple or shiny - it made it feel more dried out than before! I could not run my fingers through my hair after it dried, the ends felt terribly brittle and dry, and my scalp became irritated from brushing out the knots.

Worst hair product ever.

I bought a travel sized version of this from Sally's Beauty Supplies for $2. Cheap or not, the product is horrible. I was expecting it to be comparable to my beloved Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask...at least. However my expectations fell way short when I left this in for an hour (to use as a masque), & my hair came out... dry? It was as if I used a moisturizing shampoo. To make matters worse, it smells like rancid cough syrup. I didn't really mind that at first, but now that I know how pathetic the results were I'm a little bit ticked. Bezond The Zone, you just permanently lost a customer.
