This is the best toner that I have used. It does make a difference to my skin- my skin is more smoother and brighter when I use this. Make up goes on easier too. It is pricey but I find that it lasts longer than other toners thanks to its gel like consistency. 1 lippie off because it would be good if nars could put some mattifying properties in to this toner

This is by far the most expensive toner I have ever used. Now just because something is more expensive doesn't mean its any better for you. This product however worked for me. I know people complain that it is full of alcohol. But that doesn't irritate or dry out my skin. To each their own I guess. I do have oily skin and its very acne prone.

The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't know about the hydrating part. I mean my skin doesn't feels tight and dry after I use it. I don't get that pull that you feel when it's dry. But I also can't just use this and skip the moisturizer.

Usually 1 pump is enough for my whole face. One bottle lasts me quite awhile. I've been using it for about 3 months now and I am only 1/3 of the way done and I use it twice a day everyday.

This is slightly denser than your regular lotion but sadly turns out to be completely average. A shame because I really wanted to like it.

I really like this product since it enables me to skip moisturizer in the morning as I'm always rushing off the door in the am.

1st off my skin background : very oily but have flakies every morning due to acne med, very acne prone, comedone prone and painstakingly sensitive.

I'm not sure those with dry skin will think this toner alone is moisturizing enough, but since I have oily skin and live in a humid and hot country AND have patches of flakies, this product is perfect for me in the morning : it get rids of the flakies, leaving it fresh and slightly moisturize, all I have to do is slap on some TM (m using Tarte) and I'm ready to go. This toner does not break me out, does not clog my pores and I think it does imparts a more 'toned' looking skin.
The only downside is the steep price but I'm willing to overlook this since the bottle is huge and a little goes a long way (been using this once a day for 6 months and still have more than 1/4 left). Overall, loving this product and will repurchase when I run out

yet another horrible product by Nars. This is packed with alcohol, does not do anything (with the exception of irritating my skin). hydrating effect? really? I did NOT notice it. I gave up on Nars: absolute rubbish.

This product changed my skin. I use it on the exfoliant side of a cotton pad, and it provides not only hydration but extra cleansing as well. I also use it on my lips. Super gentle. On my fifth bottle.

This feels great going on and does what it's supposed to do.

My skin does feel freshened after using it, and is nice and soft.

I like the NARS skin products - the packaging is nice, the smell of the products is good, and everything has a nice luxurious feel to it.

Will definitely keep buying this!

I have never bought a toner this expensive before! But then again, never has a toner improve my skin drastically as this one has. I do not use this toner traditionally like other people do (putting it on a cotton ball and wiping over entire face) but rather, I use it as a moisture mask and put one pump of the product on wet cotton squares and place on my face for about 3 minutes. I got the idea of this moisture mask by Chizu Saeki's book. After one application, I kid you not, my skin looks brighter and more rejuvenated. I only use this on a weekly basis but I'm in my 2nd month of using it and I still have about 3/4 left of the product!

Overall, a nice product for a moisture mask.

At £27 for 200ml this is by far the most expensive item in my skincare regime, but it's oh so worth it if you have dry, flaky skin that's easily irritated by facial scrubs and toners. It's more of a toner/gentle exfoliator than a lotion. I use it with a cotton pad after cleansing & before moisturising. Every other toner I've tried has left my skin tight & stinging, even the ones that claim to be gentle. After using this my skin feels moisturised and refreshed, and those annoying flakes that can ruin your foundation are gone. I find I go through this more in the colder months, but you only need 1-2 pumps for your whole face so one bottle will truly last you more than a few months.

It's a bit expensive but this product lasts sooo long!! I usually never finish using toners all the way, but this one felt really good on my skin. The SA told me to just pump it onto my clean hand and just gently dab it and smooth it over my face before my moisturizer. I've been using this for almost a year and down to the very last drop. It toned down my oily/combination skin while hydrating at the same time. It does contain alcohol, but I did not see any effects of that nor any breakouts due to this toner. I really love it!

Also, on the bottom of the container, it says it is a product of Shiseido and I have always been a Shiseido fan! Great stuff!

I just hate how there's a few extra drops on the bottom and the pump can't suck it out... Hmm...

I really like this product for the 4+ years I used it. I found I had to use it on a cotton pad following NARS Balancing Foam Cleaner, or I'd get small pimples, so apparently it did a good job and removing cleanser residue. My skin felt soft, soothed, and comfortable afterward, but my skin would tighen up a bit 20 minutes or so afterward if I didn't use a moisturizer. The packaging on all the NARSskin products is phenomenal--very minimalist and clean. I can't say my experience with this product validated it's claims of exfoliating and increasing skin luminosity. I write this in the past tense because I've switched to B. Kamin's skincare and no longer use NARS. I will probably eventually get back to this product.

I like this toner. I use this following the Nars gentile foaming cleanser. It has a gel like consistancy and doesnot leave my face dry or sticky and it does not sting. The amount you get in the bottle is worthy of the price.

Nice toner, refreshing, seems to keep my occasional pimples down, the packaging is sleek but a little annoying to have to take the cap on & off to reach the pump. Not sure I'd buy it again, because can't really tell whether it's doing anything.

I love this toner/softner. NARS is owned by Shisheido, and this toner is very similar to one that they sell under their own name. I don't know which is actually cheaper (but I plan to find out). I love the gel consistancy of this product. You feel like it is actually making it to your face instead of being soaked up in the cotton used to apply it. I sometimes use this as my morning cleanser if I am in a rush to get out of the door, few swipes then apply my lotion and sunscreen (I maintain a much better evening facial wash routine). I have NEVER been impressed with a toner before, yet this one I shelled out the money after asking for a sample to try at home. I love the packaging. The clear square bottle is sturdy, pleasing to look at, the pump provides just the right amount of product and you always know how much you have left. The toner itself leaves your skin very refreshed and feeling great. I will repurchase as often as needed but it will be awhile even with 2wice daily use. The bottle is BIG.

I bought this toner because during winter I get dry spots on my cheeks and around the corners of my mouth--they usually feel irritated/itchy and red with application of other moisturizers. Putting this toner before my moisturizer greatly calmed those areas and my skin feels softer and looks healthier. It says that this toner helps to enhance the performance of moisturizer. However, the price is quite steep for me right now, retailing at $58 CAD plus tax. At the moment I'll probably have to save this for winter. I've been using it for a month and a half and i haven't hit the halfway point yet.

I've been using this for a week now, and it's a great product! I have been high and low for a toner, and this one doesn't dry out my normal/dry skin--it doesn't give you that tight feeling that most toners do. The label says that Shiseido manufactures this product.

I am in love with this product. First off, it is fairly costly ($58 canadian for me), but it really does it's job. Secondly, I love how it's not just a standard liquid toner, but it's a thick gel that goes on so smoothly and evenly. I have been using this for a week and I love that I don't even have to use a moisturizer most days (and FYI, my skin is a flakey, acne-cladden mess). It takes care of all the dry spots, and I love how it isn't scented and hasn't made me break out any more... In fact, my face has started to look amazing since using this product. When I put it on it doesn't sting either- like most toners.. and for this reason alone, this will be an HG item for me. There is nothing I don't like about it except for the price- but I will try and score it for cheaper on ebay in the future.

I have sensitive, dry and maturing skin, so I tend to use only rosewater for a toner. I had a makeover and SA used this on t-zone, it helped to remove the little flakies (which I had not noticed particularly, as I never wore foundation, but now I do occasionally, and yes, this helps). Packaging is sensible, one squirt on a pad is enough to swipe your face (or just t zone in my case). It is a huge bottle, and will last forever, so I think price is fair for quantity sold.
