Yes, after a few weeks it brightened my face up, but it gave me so many cystic zits, I barely registered it. Its too thick, like others have said. I doesn't spread at all. You basically coat your face with way too much serum into a pastey mask. When you break out, you won't have to wonder why.

Im not a fan of Vitamin C products, I believe you would get better results by a good C diet, or vitamins orally rather than Topically. But this is just too Greasy, you would have to mix this with lotion to not get a sticky feeling. Texture is like Honey

I've switched from Cellex-C to this serum. It seems to make a subtle difference, but I will need to use it a bit longer to determine whether it will be a keeper or not.

I had a very difficult time getting used to this product, and in the end, I decided to just mix it with Dr. Hauschka's cc to get rid of it. I purchased this stuff after experimenting with at-home recipes for vitamin c serums, as this is intended to supply skin with a more stable form of vitamin c. Instructions are to dispense a few pumps and apply to skin once or twice a week. The consistency of the serum is very thick and sticky, and it has a orange juice scent (which I loved). However, the serum has very little slip and seemed to sit on top of my face after application. Actually, I could only ever apply this at night because it left my face so shiny and sticky--even after moisturizing. It also clogged my pores and, over time irritated my sensitive skin. Though I like some of the other Jason products, I will not buy this one again.

I have purchased and used this product a few times. Each time it gave me no extra ordinary results. It's quite greasy and although I don't have break-outs very often this product seemed to always clog my pores resulting in a minor break-out. I didn't experience any moisturizing results as I read from the reviews below and no difference in the tone, feel, etc of my facial/neck area. Jason has some good products in their skincare line that I have used and will continue to purchase and use. Sorry to say this is not one of those products that I will purchase or use again.

I'm acne-prone and had a lot of acne scars that's been there for years. I started using this a month ago and saw a huge improvement! My acne scars are now barely there and still fading! My skin also looks clearer and smoother. I use this every night and I wake up in the morning with glowing skin. It does make you look greasy when applied and my hair likes to stick to my face when i have this on, but it doesnt clog my pores or break me out.

I like this stuff. One of my mom's friends (who is in her 50's and has no wrickles) uses this serum. I don't really like just using it by itself, but I found that if I put several drops in my Jason Vegi toner it leaves my skin so soft that I don't even have to use a moisturiser. I have acne prone, combo skin and this didn't make me break out any more then usual. It has a pleasant orange/citrus smell. It's a small bottle with an eye-dropper, so you can use presice amounts. This stuff has lasted me forever so it was worth the buy.

I started using this a few weeks ago. I put one pump (just the right amount) on my face at night. It does feel and smell like you're rubbing oj concentrate on your face initially but it's not unpleasant and it absorbs fairly quickly. I am fairly acne prone (started using this with the hopes it would help fade acne scarring) and haven't experienced any negative reactions (ie breakouts) so far. I used this for about a week, then switched to something else, then switched back to this and saw an immediate difference. Using this, my skin definitely looks brighter in the morning! This is the first vitamin c product I've used so I'd liked to experiment with others but I have a feeling I'll be repurchasing this in the future.

Hi - I'm very pleased with the serum. It's only meant to be used 1-2 times a week and I'm using it more as a preventative... but I do think that my skin looks better. My pigmentation seems lighter and I definitely wake up with nice well hydrated skin. Definitely worth trying.

This product dramatically improved my skin in just two days. The shadowy, dull look I was concerned about actually disappeared. I was surprised by the 'thick' consistency of this product as a serum and to help it absorb more smoothly I actually mixed a pea size amount with a pump of glycolic lotion in the a.m. I have been testing out samples of higher end skin products, but this is one I will be sticking with because it makes me look as though I've had an entire week's worth of an early bedtime/morning lie-in.

would be great if you're not acne prone. The main ingredient is very comodegic, I knew that and tried it anyway, and yes it broke me out. If you have no tendancy towards breaking out, give it a shot, its affordable. Otherwise, stay away, it will end up in the trash.

The packaging isn't good, and I will be the first to admit the texture of this stuff is GROSS. Sticky hell. But bear through that and your skin will be beautiful. For me, it evened skin tone, faded some sun induced freckles, smoothed the texture, cleared up some mild acne scars, prevented black heads, clogged pores and zits from forming and thus reducing the size of my pores. Sometimes you have to suffer for beauty, and for me this one is WORTH it. it only took a few days before I could see an improvment in my skin overall, and after a few weeks of use I noticed all the things aforementioned. YMMV, of course, but if you are looking for a vitamin c serum, this one is definitely worth a try.

FYI, layering a moisturizer(I use Jason's vit. C cream) atop this really reduces that sticky feeling.

I bought this product from a discount vitamin supplier for $20. I was very dissapointed because Jason products are usually great. The product is way too oily and thick to use for anything other than a night time moisturizer. It is an OK product for the price, but it also contains Ester-C which, although it is more stable and more gentle than L-Ascorbic Acid, it is not as an effective treatment. And it is alsot only 10% C which is at the low end for concentrations.

This product is fantastic - extremely moisturizing, takes care of dry patches, smoothes, makes you glow, as soon as you use it. But the packaging is so over the top horrible, I can't believe only one person so far mentioned it, and they thought it wasn't too big a deal! THe serum does drip all over the sides of the bottle as described by the other reviewer, coming from the inside of the lid. The medicine dropper drips on you too. It is a very sticky serum, not a typical cream, so it's an unpleasant texture to have this happen. I don't know what they expect you to do with the medicine dropper - drip it directly on your face? Or drip it onto your hand and then apply? No way I would keep buying if I hadn't found similar ordinary lids to replace the medicine bottle top with. I guess Jason wants it to seem medicinal, but new buyers can't see the bottle through the packaging. Potential repeat buyers will either buy it for the great product regardless of gimmicky bottle, or will decide not to buy it again because of the bottle.

Its reeeeaaally thick for a serum - feels like honey, but its the most effective Vit C treatment I have tried. Evens out skin tone, and overall makes my skin look much healthier. Awful smell though, kind of sickly-sweet. If I leave this on all night, I make sure to use a clay mask the next day just in case it has caused any clogged pores, and I havent broken out from it yet.

Stay clear from this product if you are acne prone. I get 5 blackheads which turn into zits over 2 days time.

Update Mar 25, 2004: It is a real disaster even if only used this product for 2 days. Those 5 blackheads now turned over to 5 angry zits. I HATE this serum

I love this stuff!!!! I paid around $35 for it the first time and I was amazed at how well it helped clear and smooth my skin. My acne has gone down by 99% and the scars are healing fast. I use it after my shower at night and in the morning. I don't know if you are supposed to use it twice a day but I do. I use a bit more at night than during the day. It is oiley, but not too bad. I have combo skin. I read here that it was too thick??? Try shaking it really good before using it. This is a wonderful product.

My quest for the best Vitamin C Serum continues.....The Jason C-serum is very thick! It is so heavy on my face. I don't think my skin aborbs it because I am left with a greasy face I have to keep wiping dry. I think that if you have very very dry skin, this might be good for you, but normal to oily I don't reccomend.

Like the following reviewer, I too was buying a similar serum that was about 3 times the price of this. The beauty of this product is that it is relatively fast working, Cellex-C took ages to have an effect. It has helped to even out my tone, faded my acne scars and helped to reduce my horrible, bumpy sunspots! It has lessened fine lines between my brows, and though I have oily-combo skin It gets a bit flaky in the winter, this hasn't dried out my skin and gives a good level of hydration, though dry skins may need a light moisturiser on top. Also very importantly hasn't caused me to break out and seems to somehow control existing spots. The texture is a bit weird to handle at first, not to mention the orange soda fragrance, but it works just fine as a night and day treatment/moisturiser. This one of the most effective serums I have ever used and the lowest priced too. Update Feb. 8 2004: I have been disloyal and have flirted around with other creams & serums to my detriment-more black/whiteheads.This is one of the few products that (creams or serums) that doesn't give me more spots & actively treats existing spots. It is true that this texture is a little weird to work with but as a night treatment it is fine for my oily/spot prone skin, it does kind of sit on the skin but it will be perfectly absorbed overnight, as a moisturiser under sunscreen it is not quite ideal-too much slip, but for dehydrated normal skin it will provide a nice dewy finish & more importantly it will not break you out! Just don't use too much, it will really spread well as it is very viscous, you don't need to put loads on it is very economical as serums go as it lasts a while. UPDATE: I think maybe this is too sticky and bothers mw while I'm in bed, it does absorb overnight , but my oily/spotty skin can't take it anymore
