Overall rating: I was disappointed in this liner shadow because it is described on the BE Web site as "a metallic lilac shade," but it is completely matte, and it's not lilac; it's more of a deep grape. I wanted to use it as a shadow, but I don't like matte shadows that much. I have to admit that I did not try it foiled, but I doubt that a matte shadow would turn out metallic any way I apply it. However, if you like a smokey eye, or want to use it as a liner, it would be a gorgeous shade.
Where did I buy this: BE Web site.
Price: I got it as part of the Pretty Delicious kit, but regular retail for a full-size pot is only $13.00.
Packaging: Best you can get for a loose powder cosmetic product: screw-top sample pot with sifter cap.
Would I buy again: Nope, unless they reformulate it to match the description.

Love this color! It's too light for me to use as a liner so I use it to create a purple smoky eye. Nice silky texture like all the products in this line. A really excellent plum purple with fine pinkish gold particles.
I docked one lippy because you have to compromise either the color pigment or the shimmer when you wear this shadow liner, i.e. if you wet it, the shimmer practically disappears and if you blend it onto your lid, the color becomes somewhat sheer. And I HATE all the packaging of the Bare Escentuals products. Those little pots make a mess, lol.

I was almost not happy about this purchase, when I got it home and found it looked alot like other BE shadows I have....however, it is great! The color is not as purple or shimmery as I was hoping, but like all the other BE shadow liners, it goes on densely, stays put, and is easy to tweak for a lot of different looks.
The color is a dark, dark, cool smokey plum. Depending on how much you apply it can look really subtle or very dramatic. This shadow liner is perfect for a simple smokey eye. Today I have BE Devotion (a warmer medium plummy pink) up to my crease, faded out with a lighter shimmer shadow (Milani Sheeer Sand) and then Sugar Plum smudged all around my eyes. Sexy, Sexy! If you get it smudged into the lashes real well, it looks awesome. Definitely a recommended purchase! I want to try some of the matte shadow liners now....

I use this as a liner and all over the lid for a smoky, purple look. Other reviewers say this loses it's effect when applied dry - I find it's just like some pigments: to make the color pop, apply it over a dark cream base. (See pic) I love most BE products, but this is a go-to look for me.

Overall I think Im done with BE bcuz Ive found dupes easily for most. This is pretty dry but when I wet it for liner I cant get it to show as purple as it seems dry.

Looks prettier in the pot than on my eye. It is a very sparkly deep violet in the jar, but turns into a lighter-than-expected neutral plum when applied wet with a drop of Visine. In stronger light you can see the silver shimmer, but it doesn't make this metallic or glimmery or anything--you just see a matte color with silver sparkles thrown on top. It's by no means awful, but it is kinda boring and doesn't do much for my eyes or face. And I think the microglitter sometimes gets into my eyes and irritates them. So I don't think the end result's really worth messing with a brush, loose powder and some kind of powder fixative. I'm just not that impressed--there are e-tailers that sell similar-quality stuff for cheaper. I got a little sample in a swap and I think I might even end up giving that away.

A medium dark, shimmery, pretty purple color which looks great on my blue eyes. If you like purple, go for this.

I found the color a bit bland and just okay--looks more like a lightish violet than a deep plum on me--cool PPP w. hazel eyes. It's okay, nothing special like BE's Bark or Opera liner shadows.

As a liner this is quite pretty, especially used wet. as a shadow it's only ok. My biggest issue with this and other BE shimmers is as you blend them into your skin the shimmer lessens for some reason. In the pot though, this shade with all the multi colored shimmer is breathtaking, If applied right you can get a similiar effect on the eye, but it's a bit of a pain. Plus, I can't say loose shadow is the easiest to line with, even wet. Still, This is a gorgeous, very deep shimmery plum and the best purple liner I've found so far, so I'd theoretically repurchase if I ever ran out, which I won't.

I searched Sephora for about an hour looking for the perfect deep plum shadow. I found it, but it was out of stock. I wish I remembered what it was so I could order it. Anyway, then I made my way over to the liner shadows because I have a black one and I love it. And then I saw this color. It's wonderful. This is a shimmery plum that goes on dark enough to be a liner when wet, and when applied dry it makes a fantatic shadow. This would go perfectly with the Shiseido Hydro-Power Eyeshadow in White Lights that I almost bought, but for some stupid reason did not (and unfortunately Sephora doesn't offer Shiseido online). Although this is loose, there is a TON of product in the container. The only drawback is that this did not have a sifter (my other liner shadow did). That sifter makes a world of difference, let me tell you. If you buy these, try to buy whatever looks the newest--I suspect the sifters are a very recent addition.
EDIT: I'm not loving this as much as I did at first. When applied wet it stays put, but loses its shimmery appearance; when I apply it dry, it disappears from my lids in a matter of seconds. I have no idea where it goes, I just know that by the time I have finished with mascara and other items, the previously applied shadow has simply vanished.

This is a pretty plum/purple color shadow/liner. I find it great as a liner but not good as a shadow since it doesn't blend well.
It makes green/hazel eyes stand out, but for the life of me I can't find a shadow that looks good with this liner. If you buy the full size, you may never have to buy another pot again since you need just a little to go a long way. Just be carefull. Since there is no sifter in the jar, if you nock it over, say bye to it. Overall, nice eyeliner.

This has to be my favourite product from BE! The colour is just so so amazing, I have used it as an eye shadow but, the beautiful colour really comes through when it is worn as a liner.I used to use a cream eyeliner from another brand but, not anymore since I have discovered this, makes your eyes look so gorgeous! It also gives the most precise and perfect under eye line I have ever had!

Love! Love! I got Sugar Plum in a swap, and it is beautiful. Like the reviewer below said, you can spend hours just looking at it in the pot. I've been wearing this everyday for about two months, and I haven't even made a dent. This will look great and last FOREVER.

This stuff wears like iron. In the swatches I've seen online I was expecting a sparkly mauvish color, but actually it's a sandwashed silk dark purple. It's got some subtle sparkle to but it really is not a shimmery powder, at all. Deep, matte, smokey and mysterious.

Bare escentuals do the most multi faceted eyeliner colours - EVER!
This one is a plummy purple with brown tones and flecks of silver and black. You can spend ten minutes just marvelling about how beautiful it looks in the pot. (That really slows me down in the mornings!)
It's amazing on as a liner or a shadow. I've had a sample size for 6 months now and I may never need to buy the full size!

Must have shade from BE. This is a liner shadow that works beautifully as a shadow. Its a stunning purpley violet with silver shimmer. Looks beautiful sheered out in the crease or wet as a liner. Gorgeous color especially for purple lovers! Retails for $12 and comes in a small jar that will last you forever since this is so richly pigmented. You just need what's left in the cap! the shimmer makes this standout!

I use this as just an eye shadow- it has a bit more opaque pigment than some of the glimmers, but it’s like many other eyeshadows in it’s pigmentation. It still blends smoothly. Great silver sparkle to it! That was what attracted me the most. It’s a number of shades lighter than MAC’s Deep Purple pigment, but it’s in the same color family- a warmer type of plummy purple. I usually do a purple smokey eye with this, Deep Purple and Glimmer of Devotion, as they all fall within the same range of colors, just different shades of warm plum purple

This is a great plummy shade that would work well for anyone. It isn't so plum/purple that it is screaming color, but is fairly subtle. I apply this with an angled eyeliner brush - either wet or dry. I find that the sparkliness of it doesn't really show up in my liner like I expected it to - at least not as sparkly as it appears in the container.
I have been using this color almost every day for a month, and the amount in the container hasn't visably changed. I'll have it a VERY long time - that makes the price easier to bear.

Sugar plum is an interesting color. It's a brownish purple with black flecks, it's a beautiful and intense color. It goes well with just about any eye look. The quality is great, these liners don't smudge or fade throughout the day and the amount you get in a pot makes it unnecessary to repurchase. One pot will last a lifetime.

Bare Escentuals Liner Shadows are made from pure, crushed minerals. One small jar will last you for a very long time - a little goes a long way. You can use these shadows either wet or dry and with a "push" brush for a smokier look or an eyeliner brush for a more precision line.
Sugar Plum is a medium plummy violet shade that is unique and gorgeous! It brings out the green in hazel eyes and will go with anyone's coloring.
