Wow! Coconutty is several shades in one. It is a beautiful bronze but there is also a bit of copper and gold shimmer. Heavy, layered application can definitely give you a more dramatic shade with a frostier and brown/bronze look, or you can lightly apply for a more subtle, beachy gold/bronze color. As other reviewers have said it does kind of make you feel like the Brazillian Beach Goddess in a swimsuit magazine. I have a lot of blond highlights so when I am tan and put this lipstick on I feel like I am glowing! I usually prefer MAC's Lustre formula and don't care for their Frost at all but in this case I will make the exception, it is just that pretty! Also great color pay off for a "Frost".

Coconutty is a great frosty gold-based brown that's not too frosty, and not too glittery, not too gold, or too bronzey either. It's less full on 'disco ball' and gold than Bronze Shimmer lipstick which looks way to Studio 54, unless that's what you're going for. Coconutty was one of the best neutral frosty lipsticks I bought many years ago.

I am a NC 25 GGG with dark hair. (I wish all ladies would include a description of their shade because lipsticks look different depending on your coloring.)

Anyway, Coconutty is a frost and shows up on me as a bronze/brown with silver metallic flashes. I love it. It reminds me of Oh Baby without all the stupid colored glitter. It also reminds me of my favorite Shag but again Coconutty is a frost and Shag appears more gold/brown.green rather than silver/brown. I can wear this with just about any eyeshadow because it is somewhat neutral. I line my lips with Stripdown and if I want some gloss, Bare Fetish or Sinnamon are perfect. This is a great lipstick.

Coconutty is absolutely beautiful -- especially in the summer.

I have applied this to all ages of women and all levels of skin tones -- this is a winner!

I love this color, in the summer when i am tanned i look like a bronzy sun goddess. It goes on smoothly and I cannot feel the frost in it which is a great plus. It is aslo versatile in terms of color because the more u apply the darker and browner it gets so its like having 2 lippies in one and I can wear it which ever way suits my mood at the time and make it as dramatic or soft as I want depending on the occasion!

This is one of the MAC colors I've been buying for many years. It's very soft and neutral. It reminds me of of a nice tan that you see on people from Brazil at the beach who are also wearing a non-greasy oil on their body. It's such a beautiful color! Reminds me of the gloss oh-Baby but just a lipstick. This is a frost and it has a lot of coverage and looks great with brown eyeshadows. I pair it with Spice Lipliner and it looks neutral and sexy that makes my lips look soft and full.

In the tube, looks like a shimmery tan, but on my lips it's like liquid pale bronze FROST - yikes! Needed my sunglasses on to look at myself!

MAC Coconutty is my everyday lipstick. I prefer neutrals with a gold shimmer paired with brown lipliner. I turned to it in mourning after MAC discontinued my old HG lipstck shade: Cult. Anyway, Coconutty is looks beautiful on my complexion, and I refuse to be without it...

I've been a Mac-a-holic for years. Coconutty is one of my staples that I am always buying. I have reddish brown hair and blue eyes. I use Coconutty with Spice liner. Someone at the Mac counter said she'd never seen it used with Spice but I think it looks really beautiful. It adds a lot of warmth and depth to my fall and winter look.

MAC Coconutty : Sexy nude shimmery golden brown.
This is a medium/dark, muted golden brown nude shimmer (or what I think of as a cool-toned bronze), that is perfect for times when you want your lips to look sexy but subtle. This shade is perfect for an intense smokey eye go-with. It's also a great l/s shade to wear when you want a minimalist-bronzey-beach goddess type look (bronzey eyes, bronze cheeks, bronze lip). There are no copper orange tones to fight my cool/neutral MMM olive skin (unlike MAC Bronze Shimmer, which was way too orange-y for me to wear, unless I mixed it with something to mute down the color). Coconutty is about the same depth of shade as lightly toasted coconut; it's aptly named! A very similar gloss shade is MAC Oh Baby. I think Coconutty would suit most girls with cool to slightly warm skintones. When I'm darkly faux tanned (giving my skintone a very warm look), Coconutty looks a bit drab. I much prefer it when I'm more cool-neutral in skintone.

I really like this color. I have nw45 skin and this gives a nice nude natural looking color on me. I put a clear gloss over top it and I have a very sexy natural looking lip color.

I got this with Back 2 Mac on a complete whim. It looked good at the store, so I just went for it. I'm glad I did. I have medium/olive skin, with pretty pigmented lips. I usually do heavy eyes, so I try to do a lighter, nude lip, but regular nude lipsticks made me look really dead. So I use this! It's definately not nude, and is a goldish shimmer, but on my lips, it makes them look awesome but not overpowering my face. It gives me the same effect I would want a regular nude for. It makes me look exotic...I can't really describe it! Lol. Applied with a lip brush, this goes on super smooth and looks great with clear gloss or nude lipliner underneath.

As a couple of people mentioned below, Coconutty goes well with Oh Baby. I was looking for a frosty beige-nude color that matched my GGG skintone. I thought I found it in L'oreal Bronze Coin, but boy was I wrong. Coconutty was a thankful replacement that smells and looks better on me.

I only bought this b/c a MA convinced me I would wear this color all the time. It's too frosty for me for everyday though. Of course, I only use it to give a gloss to my really dark colored lipsticks (like Diva or Media) when I want to lighten the color a bit. Otherwise, it just sits in my makeup case.

coconutty is a sweet, deep golden-brown color. the only thing i don't like is that it is very drying. this can be remedied by applying some balm underneath. sometimes, i smudge a tiny bit of dark chocolate brown eyeliner on my lips, rub them together, then apply coconutty. good for a sexy nighttime look.

This is a dark beige very similar to Oh Baby. I love this lipstick for a barely there look.

Coconutty is a deep golden color, it makes a nice neutral lip. Coconutty is a pretty lipstick, but it's not a "Must Have". It's not very unique and I'm sure you would be able to find a low end item that looked similar.

Strange! This is my most recent l/s purchase too. I was looking to duplicate the lipglass color Oh Baby! be/c my bf hates the stickiness. I ended up w/this and the lipliner chestnut. It really does look very similar. I was happy; I think he was too, but actually - he's too scared to kiss me when he sees color now no matter what. Sad, but true. Oh well. This is definitely LESS sticky!
