I like Weleda products very much, but do find that Skin Food is a bit greasy going on and that it needs to be reapplied frequently to keep my hands looking moisturized and soft.
I purchased this online by iherb dot com, $14.21 (they ship worldwide). I have a coupon code if you want order the first time: VIK284 and you have 5$ off.

This product is awful! I bought it because my skin gets very dry over winter and it doesn't help that I live in Scotland where it gets quite cold and windy making everything even worse. After having tried out lots and lots of different moisturisers but still not having been able to find the right one for my skin I decided to buy the Weleda Skin Food since it had amazing reviews.
The product comes in a tin tube, which is ok (the only problem with tin tubes in my experience after a while it starts cracking and it ends up leaking everywhere). The consistency of the cream is terrible. It's very heavy and sticky and it also feels oily in my opinion. When I apply it my skin isn't able to absorb it properly and it leaves my skin sticky and shiny, which makes it impossible to wear make up on top of it.
So I used it as a night cream but it has not made any difference to my skin whatsoever. On top of that this cream has a very weird and unpleasant smell. It kinda smells like herbs and smoked bacon I think.
I'm very disappointed and it was a complete waste of my money. You're better off using Vaseline.
I've managed to improve my skin by using Leaders Insolution Aloe Soothing Skin Renewal Masks. It definitely helped to rescue my skin.

Great product. Leaves skin soft and moisturized but a tad bit greasy, which is okay in rough weather imo. The fragrance is citrusy/orangey/medicinal but not bad and it doesn't linger. A definite repurchase.

I love Skin Food. Use it every now and then as a super-moisturizing overnight treatment.

I love Weleda Skin Food! I apply this in the evening after I wash my face with the OCM and applying pure Rose Hip Seed Oil to my face. I use it around my eyes, forehead, and above my upper lip area as I don't feel like I really need it on my cheeks or chin. Also, I use it on my neck/check areas and hands. It's a bit pricey, but sometimes I can get it on sale for $12 and change at Target. Since I use such a small amount in those areas it does last me awhile. Besides my makeup, I use only pure, natural ingredients on my face. The combo of the OCM, Rose Hip Seed Oil, and Weleda Skin Food as my pm skin routine has really made a difference.

I have to start by saying that I have very seasonal skin. It's incredibly dry during the winter and combination in the summer. For the brutal winters (even in the desert here) this is the only thing that will keep my skin from looking like cracked clay. Its ultra thick and rich. Maybe a little too thick for some to wear as a daytime moisturizer but it worked fine for me under my makeup for the winter. During the summer I like to use it as my night time moisturizer. I wake up with the softest skin and usually dont need an added moisturizer under my makeup. Added bonus is that this can be used anywhere!
I first read about this from Victoria Beckham in some magazine that it was one of her HGs for dry skin and thought I'd give it a try. Definitely worth it. I get mine at TARGET but I know Whole Foods also carries it. Cost about $19 for the larger tube at TARGET. If you're in need of an intense moisturizer...the search stops here. Definitely worth trying.

I bought this for a fiver which I thought was ok and at the time I had patches of very dry skin so I decided to buy it. I wasn't sure if you should put it on your face but I did. Firstly the smell, it was very flowery and was too strong for me. The texture was also thick but not like conditioner. It completely messed up my face-it is too strong for faces. However I gave it to my mum and it completely restored her cracked feet along with the foot balm she also got of the same brand. I personally wouldn't buy it again but I know my mum would.

I experienced extremely dry, itchy skin on my arms and legs this past winter. I normally have no issues whatsoever with my body being dry/itchy, so I had nothing in my house to soothe my skin. I saw several YT reviews on this product and was happy to see it on sale at my local grocery store.
Since it was so thick, I applied my normal moisturizer and then layered a small amount of this on the areas I itched the most (knees, thighs, upper arms, etc.) Relief! It took a while to blend it in because it was so thick, but it didn't feel greasy at all.
I also enjoy using this on my hands when they're so raw/cracked/chapped from the cold winter months. The tiniest bit soaks right in and doesn't leave that greasy feeling.

Excellent product on severely dry, cracked, bleeding hands! It absorbs instantly and leaves no greasy film but my hands are ridiculously dry. Also started to apply to baby face, which shows signs of red, dry patches. Will update on this.

Skin food is a thick moisturiser that I find hard to spread on its own. I use it on my hands, and I can definitely feel that it imparts moisture. The smell is not unpleasant, especially for a natural product, is quite fresh and dissipates quickly.
It is really expensive for what it is, so although I chose 'yes' to repurchase for now, I wouldn't be surprised if I could achieve the same effect from a cheaper product.

Love! I first got this several years ago when I was pregnant and was on an all-natural ‘kick’. I am no longer as ‘stringent’ about using products that are natural, organic, etc. but Skin Food is one of the natural products that’s taken a permanent place in my beauty routine. This is a thick, rich, moisturizer that I use as a spot-treatment for ultra-dry/flaky skin (elbows, hands, feet). It is too greasy on me as an all-over facial moisturizer. I also find it ‘stings’ slightly on eczema patches (the essential oils, perhaps?), so this works best for me on regular-old dry & rough skin. I use it mostly at night, and awake to softer, smoother skin. I adore the scent (kind of a citrusy-herbal scent) and find it refreshing and comforting. I think the metal tube is charming, but not the most practical, as it easily gets dented/twisted/worn in spots. At regular price, it’s a bit pricey, though a little will go a long way. I was lucky enough to spot it at a surplus store for a deep discount & picked up 3 tubes, so I should be set for the next couple of years. I would absolutely repurchase it, should I have the need.

Overall, not a fabulous moisturizer, but a good one for hands and a very good one for the face. For the face it is very good at moisturizing but not too greasy and really does soak in well. For the hands, being on the light side, wasn't enough of a moisturizer. The smell is very different and pleasant, kind of like an herbal and lemony smell. But because of the herbal note I wouldnt freshly apply this around anyone. Lets talk price. Ive seen this at CVS for....$19.00 a tube. And at online sites like Luckyvitamin.com or Vitacost.com, the same tube is round $7.50. At 7.50 I would definitely repurchase. Ingredients are the main reason I would buy it again, It has excellent skin nourishing ingredients like almond oil and lanolin, and beeswax provides that barrier to keep moisture in.

I normally use Sea Buckthorn hand cream, but for the winter I prefer this one.
Leave my hands hydrated and I love how it smells! It's always in my bag ;)

I love Skin Food but only for certain uses. My skin gets very dry and flaky in the winter and is pretty dry year-round. I bought Skin Food in hopes that it would be a good facial moisturizer for the winter. It is a little too greasy to feel comfortable on my face. I now only use it on extremely dry patches that sometimes pop up on my cheeks and on my cuticles and knuckles. It works really well and often clears up a dry patch with just one use. Skin Food definitely has a herbal scent. The scent is not my favorite but isn't a deal-breaker either.

I love, love this product.
It is great on my dry hands and especially on my broken cuticles in the winter.
I cycle a lot and am not very good at wearing gloves hence my hands tend to get into a right state during winter time.
This is the only product which saves my hands making them soft and looking well looked after.
I also love the natural herbal smell.
I will definitely repurchase this product.

On the packaging it says it is best to use on elbows, hands and feet and I think I agree with that. I bought it to use on my face because my skin gets really dry and flaky in colder seasons but this does not moisturize or protect my skin at all. It comes out like a thick light yellow paste and smells herbal-citrusy, I'm picky with scents and I really did not like the way is smells and that made it hard for me to use it up. I find this cream to sticky and did not like to use it on my face because it really did not make any difference on my dry skin. I tried to use it up as a handcream but I did not like that either because it takes a while to sink in. Overall I would not buy this again, because I don't like the way it smells and I don't like how it feels on my skin it's to thick and sticky and takes a long time to sink in.

I initially liked this a lot, but I think it's the cause of my continuing dry skin. It initially seems very moisturizing and I like that it's all-natural, but alcohol is very prominent in the ingredients list and my facial skin tends to react badly to alcohol. My skin has been peeling and has looked more lined and dry since I've been using this. I love the way it smells - just wish they'd left the alcohol out! I'm back to Avene Cold Cream and Lancome Nutrix to stop my skin peeling - just wish I could find something nice and natural that would take care of my seriously dry pregnancy skin!
