This thick pearly gel gave a lovely everyday weightless body and volume with soft natural shine and low frizz. Much much better than Sebastian Volumizer Working Spray and Matrix Amplify Root Lifter, which both leave my hair horribly frizzy and dry. If you want dramatic super high volume, go for something else - I like Sebastians Body Double Thick Extreme Treatment. It resists frizz well, but if I want perfect frizz-free I use an anti-humidity shine spray on top as well as my hair is fine and goes frizzy easily.
Best for a natural wavy style with movement, also straight styles. I couldn't get curl without using a specialist curl product as well to encourage curl, it seemed to relax my natural curls into soft waves.
This the ingredient list for the Body thickening polish, it comes in a grey tube:
Water (Aqua), VP/VA Copolymer, Alcohol Denat., PEG-12 Dimethicone, PEG-75 Lanolin, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Sweet Almond Protein, PEG-90M, Isohexadecane, PVM/MA Decadiene Crosspolymer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Fragrance (Perfum), Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), FD&C Blue No. 1 (CI 42090) Ext. Violet 2 (CI 60730)
Laminates Body thickening polish has now been discontinued and replaced with Laminates Sheer Body Weightless Shine Volumizing Polish in a gold tube. The hairdresser said it was just repackaged, but when I brought it in the new packaging, its similar but not the same at all. The ingredient list is different, too. I prefer the old formula as its thicker.

This may be one of the first hair products I'll ever repurchase. I've recommended it to others, even strangers in the beauty aisle. I love this stuff. I'd even pay more for it! I have very fine curly hair, so I need help with shine and volume. Most shine serums add too much weight causing my 'do to fall flat plus I don't like having to use too many different products. While other products may provide more volume (Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Gel), I find that this is excellent for everyday use. Easy to use, gives a natural look unlike some of the other stuff out there (BSH) which seems to make my hair stiff and dull. I use the Lam. Body Thickening Polish for both curly and straight styles and find it works well either way.

update: while i did like this product I decided that it wasn't HG status or anything super special so I have not repurchased since. A good product to try but not everything I wanted.
I just bought my second tube of this so I figured it was time to review this stuff! This thickening polish is a pearlized gel that is supposed to impart shine and volume. I've really enjoyed using this on my fine hair and it definitely gives my hair some hold and definite volume. You don't need much so I find that the price is fine because a tube does last me awhile. I only need about a dime size amount...any more and my hair gets a little stiff. I usually work it through my roots and then rub the excess through the ends. Does not dry out my hair. I bought this at Ulta.

I was not impressed w/ this product. For the price($13USD) I expected more. It didn't volumize my hair very much. It did add some shine but not enough to justify the price. I have tried much, much cheaper products that give better results. I will not repurchase.

This gel adds volume to my thin straight fine hair. It gives my hair more volume and some shine way more than other products I've tried (Thermasilk volume and shine spray, which ended up weighing my hair down and Matrix Amplify Root Lifter which made my hair too dry and a bit frizzy). A dime size amount of gel added to my hair is enough to give the illusion that I have more hair than I normally do! The gel is on the pricey side (12.95 for a 5.1 oz tube), but I would buy this product again.

This is a great gel - it gives my fine hair volume without any stiffness or stickiness. I have repurchased this several times.
