BE AWARE: This product has PHENOXYETHANOL in it. A dangerous chemical. They try to pretend this product is healthy and I just read the label.
I'm sick of these companies falsely claiming to be healthy and "without cruelty" meanwhile, we're putting crap on our faces that can affect our reproductive systems. Unacceptable.

I love this stuff, and have used it for about a year. It does a good job taking off my eye make-up and leaves no greasy residue. BWC products overall are very good, and the fact that they are a cruelty free company makes me like them even more.

I love BWC because it is vegan, cruelty free and herbal based. Unfortunately, I did not find this product to be effective. I have the liquid formula. My bottle purports to take off all makeup, including waterproof "completely and easily." It doesn't remove my mascara or eyeliner at all. It also burns my eyes. Big bummer. Still looking for an effective, herbal, cruelty eye makeup remover.

Overall this is an average product. Not great, but not horrible either. I think I got this for about $4 on drugstore.com so it was pretty cheap. I let it sit on my eyes for a few seconds before I try to wipe everything off which helps but I find it still have to go over it several times before I can get everything off. Its not a great remover because sometimes after I shower I can still see remnants of my mascara. Another con is I end up using more product than I normally do when using other mascaras because its not able to take everything off in the first or second swipe. However, I do like that its a creamy consistency (which seems to feel somewhat moisturizing) and I do like that its vegan. I'm trying to switch to more natural products and I have found this to be a better natural product to Earth Science's chamomile eye remover.

IDK about this watery one, but I use the creamy version. The label is reversed, white with blue letters.
I love it, its my favorite eye makeup remover. Takes everything off but I don't use any waterproof makeup so I can't vouch for that.
I'm going to try more of their products, seems like a great company with quality products as I read more reviews.

This stuff has the consistency of water that would remove the same amount of makeup that a moist towelette would, so basically useless as a separate makeup remover unless you hardly wear anything, and I mean like no mascara or gel liner.

I had been using clinique's Take the Day Off for a while and really liked it but wanted something less expensive. I wear waterproof mascara but decided to try this BWC even though reviews were mixed...if you wear waterproof makeup, don't buy this stuff because it won't take it off.

A light, non-oily liquid makeup remover that whisks off eye-makeup quickly and cleanly. No fragrance, no residue, no irritation. It's not tested on animals, and it contains a handful of botanical extracts. The flip-top bottle is convenient, and the price is reasonable. One quibble with this product: it contains methylparaben and proplyparaben, so it's not as "natural" as it might appear.

This review is for their creamy version. Smells great, removes all my eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow), leaves my skin soft and glowy.

I love that Beauty Without Cruelty is vegan and against animal testing but I was not pleased with this product. It was definitely cruel to my eyes. It burned! >.<

Overall the BEST eye makeup remover I've ever used. It's all natural, smells great, and is not oily. I pour some on a cotton pad and gently press it down on my eyelid, and gently wipe. I do not have to rub, and this rarely needs to be repeated. It is also very gentle on the eyes. All BWC products are worthwhile trying if you're looking for natural but inexpensive products.

I just purchased this the other day on a whim, and so far it's the best overall eye makeup remover I've used! I've been using the Almay pads for awhile now, but like everyone else I've jumped on the "cruelty-free" and "green" bandwagon and decided to try going more natural with my face and body care products. In all honesty I figured "natural" meant it wouldn't work as well. Luckily I was wrong! My Almay pads need a little eye rubbing action to get all my makeup off and I'm not crazy about that part of it. I put this product on a cotton ball, held on my eye for 5 seconds and wiped - almost all my makeup was off. Another gentle swipe or two and I was good to go! I thought the $7 I paid was a little pricey, but then I remembered that my Almay pads go for $5 or so at least - and BWC contains more natural products and is cruelty-free. I think that's worth a buck-fifty. I'll be curious to see how long this bottle lasts me. For now, I'm very happy with this product.

Yay for BWC! This eye makeup remover is gentle, NOT oily, unscented, and removes ALL of my eye makeup. It will definitely be one of my HG products.

I love the premise of the company & product. It isn't oily & it isn't fragranced funky. BUT it also doesn't work that well. Several times, I have used a ton to try and get off regular drugstore (not waterproof) mascara & it simply couldn't get every trace of it off. With mac gel eyeliners, forget it.

Wow, I have only used this product once but so far I am very impressed!
At first I was wary of trying out this company because they seemed like they would be focused more on animal rights than actually creating a good product. But I was wrong!
This eye makeup remover wasn't oily at all, removed my eye makeup pretty nicely (did leave a bit of eyeliner behind, but I'm not sure if thats cause I didn't try tooare hard to get it and/or because the eyeliner was in a hard to reach spot)
It did surprise me with how thin and liquidy the product is, so a bit of warning: be careful when pouring the product out on a washcloth or cottonball, if you aren't careful a lot will come out at once.
If this product continues to remove my eyemakeup well, it might become a HG for me. Along with performing nicely and not being oily, it has other wonderful pros:
-not tested on animals
-no animal ingredients
-has lots of natural ingredients (including: vegetable glycerin, Botanical infusion of calendula, chamomile, and witch hazel.)
The one con I have is that this product does contain parabens, so if BWC fixed that and perhaps packaged it better so less product came out at once, this might become the perfect eye makeup remover! Go out and buy this if you want something that is animal friendly and non-oily.

Easily removes my LM Black Ebony Eye Liner without having to scrub... just a few swipes with it on a cotton ball. I like that it has no smell and doesn't burn my eyes. Also, I don't have to go out of my way to purchase - just pick it up with my usual grocery shopping at Whole Foods!
I keep going back for more... it works very well, and doesn't hurt my wallet!

Most makeup removers irritate my eyes (except Lancome), but with this one my eyes felt itchy and raw for several days after the one time I used it. I'm taking it back for a refund.

Im surprized by this product. I ordered it expecting so much and im slightly dissapointed. Im makign the transition to vegan products and Love the leave in conditioner from this brand, but the eyemakeup remover not so much. It has no fragrance which is fine, the bottle is nice, It just doesnt take off all the eye makeup. Plus I feel like I have to really scrub to get stuff off and that feels bad to my eyes. I will be trying another brand.
*UPDATE: Switched to Jasons make up remover pads and Natures gate cleansing lotion. They are so much better then this.

This is just as effective as the high-end makeup removers I've tried (in GWPs and such), but a fraction of the price, vegan, and not tested on animals. Thus, it's a no-brainer! I just saturate a cotton pad and hold to my eyelashes and lid for five seconds or so, then rub gently. It takes off all of my eye makeup without a residue and is gentle on the eyes.
