This the only drug store conditioner that I buy. I used to only buy high end hair products until I went to FL to visit relatives and my aunt had me try this. Ever since then I have been in love. I have curly and frizzy hair, and this is the only conditioner from drugstores that softens and tames my hair and at the same time makes my hair super soft. The packaging is great and it smells awesome. Because of the way it stands, you are able to use up to the last drop which is important to me. I constantly find myself steering away from products that are packaged in a way that makes it hard to use the last bit left. Overall, I love it and have been repurchasing it ever since!

Good condition for dry ends. I put this on over the weekend and leave it in braids until I wash it out. I like its consistency and how well it absorbs. It washes out cleanly but keeps your ends moisturized well throughout the week. I am not a woman of color, but I have fine brown hair mixed with coarse, kinky hairs that can make my hair get large and unruly in humidity. Also, my hair is straight on the outer layer but gets wavy underneath along my neckline, so I have to wrestle with it a lot. I will buy again; I have been using this since 2005 when I discovered it. I am also looking out for the breakage defense conditioner.

This is one of the best drug store conditioners to ever exist! I accidentally purchased it without noticing that the bottle says “for women of color” ~ but it was a beneficial mistake! Besides, I’m slightly tan, so I could qualify! It’s very moisturizing to my dry, super thick hair. My hair feels like straw after using most cheap conditioners, but this one leaves it feeling soft and silky. My favorite conditioner is the No Frizz by Living Proof, but at almost $25 bucks a bottle, can’t afford to use that daily. So, I’m switching off with the Pantene Relaxed & Natural. It’s definitely one of the most hydrating conditioners on the market – especially on drugstore shelves. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly, it takes a little time to rinse out. This one probably isn't ideal for those with fine or limp hair, but for those with dry, frizzy thick tresses - give it a try!

Really good, although I don't like Pantene, this is so nice. I got the huge bottle, for about 6 US Dollar. It has coconut oil and jojoba, and for my summer -dried out hair, it did wonders. You did good on this one, PAntene.

Firstly, this is marketed to "women of colour" and I do not fall into that category but I still think this is an incredible, nourishing conditioner. I love that it is choc full of jojoba and coconut oils which helps keep your hair in better condition in the long term. I took off one lippy because it contains silicones which build up over time and can actually make hair look course and lacklustre.

Hair type: Spiral curls a la Scary Spice. Looks like the American Idol Jordin Sparks might have the same curl pattern (3B-3C according to Oprah's hair stylist?). Don't know about theirs, but the texture of mine is actually pretty fine and fragile. It's easy to weigh it down with a lot of product, and when it's saturated with water in the shower, it looks much longer and straighter--with large loopy wet curls the circumferance of a hot dog.
Yes,I'm a sucker for marketing. I picked this up when it first came out because it was marketed toward the African-origin hair types. It is silly to buy into this marketing because there are dozens of different types of African-origin hair, just as there are dozens of different types of European hair. But I bought.
And I'm mostly glad I did. I prefer the original, more moisturizing (and better scented) product, but the one they've been selling in 2008 and 2009 is serviceable. It's the only bottled drugstore-brand conditioner that stands up to the amount of detangling I have to do each hair washing. The others are wet lotions; this used to be more of a thick dry lotion and is now a slightly less-thick but still substantial lotion that does not drip out of the hair before you've detangled it.

I always keep this around. I mostly use it to co-wash (wash with conditioner), and it's great! It's cheap and really detangles and moisturizes my natural 4 type AA hair, but it was also great when my hair was relaxed. I don't use it as often as my Avalon Organics, Wen, or my Giovanni - only because I'm not a huge fan of silicones and other synthetic products - but I do use it a few times a month. Overall a great conditioner.

I love this conditioner, and agree with nearly everything that the reviewer below wrote. I am not of African descent, but I have got me some wavy, coarse Mediterranean hair. Not only that, but I bleach my hair every six weeks, making it even frizzier and more prone to roughness. This conditioner is heavy, and has enough oil to weigh out my curls for straightening. Best of all, the price is right! My local drugstore is always having sales on Pantene. I use Pantene Classic Care shampoo with this (the R&N shampoo is HORRIBLE). Bottom line, don't be fooled by marketing. There are many hair products marketed toward black women that will work nicely for other ethnicities as well!

Well, I'm not a woman of color but I bought this hoping it would be super moisturizing. I have blond highlights right now and they dried my hair quite a bit. So...I tried this and I was blown away by the results. My hair felt so soft and smooth, just like my 6 year old daughter's hair. It felt and looked so shiny and healthy.
One thing I've noticed is that I HAVE to shampoo everyday when I'm using this because it can get heavy and oily if I don't. Before this, when I was using Tigi products, my hair could go for 2 or 3 days between washings and still look and feel clean. Anyway, I also use a shampoo that gets my hair squeaky clean so that I can get it all out before I appy it again. I've been using a Lush Snow Fairy with it. It's an odd scent combo but the Pantene totally covers up the Snow Fairy scent so it's ok.
Another thing I do since this is so moisturizing is to use "regular" conditioner once or twice a week. That keeps my hair bouncy and not weighed down.
Overall, this WAY outshined products that I've spent 4 or 5 times as much on.
Oh and one more thing...if you are not a woman of color I DO NOT recommend the matching shampoo. LOL it took like 3 shampoos to get it out of my hair.

I use this conditioner when I wear my hair back in a ponytail and just let it air dry. I usually wet my hair and run this conditioner through my hair. This conditioner adds a lot of shine to my hair and also helps detangle my hair. This conditoner makes my hair feel very soft and manageable. This conditioner is for chemically-relaxed, pressed or natural hair. The conditioner also helps control frizz and protects against damage. The conditioner also smells really good which is a plus.

This product works great. It softens and detangles my hair, but I noticed it doesn't perform as well as my Mizani conditioner. This has to be the best drugstore line out there. The only reason I stopped using this line is because my stylist introduced me to Mizani and Keracare products. I would definitely repurchase and recommend to others.

IMO, the best drugstore conditioner out there. It's extremely moisturzing and always leaves my 3c/4a hair hydrated.Sometimes I leave it in my hair as curl enhancing product and it's wonderful.

A great conditioner IMHO, very similar to Loreal Feria, and it's just as cheap. I got a big bottle (>12 oz.) for $6.
It has the same clean, slightly lemony scent, went on very slick and felt like a rich coating for my hair. I have mostly straight Asian hair, on the dry side, and think this conditioner's jojoba oils and coconut oils helped smooth out the dry cuticles. I didn't blow-dry or flat-iron afterwards and got bouncy, shiny hair.
I wish it came in a pump dispenser rather than a plastic bottle with a cap on the bottom.

I am a woman of different ethnicitys, and i thought why not try a product designed for woman of color....i cant go wrong! Boy was i wrong. not only it made my hair fall out and my scalp burn , but after the first time using it it doesnt even moisterize. ever since my experience i bought a bottle of pure pressed jojoba oil and add it to all my shampoos and conditioners. try it. you wont regret it .

I liked this formula when they FIRST came out with it. When it had the original pantene scent. It would leave my hair very moisturized. I just loved it. This new one is so drying. When I decided to repurchase it, and went to use it, I immediatly noticed that it had the new scent, and thought, ah crap, dont tell me they changed it. Yup. Hate it. Im done with pantene. I have given it many many trys, but yeah, I give up.

Great product. I jus felt that it could have moisturized a little bit more. I have to use a lot of it to get the soft and detangled curls I need. But all in all, a great product and staple in my shower.
