This is great for adding volume to straight, flat, long hair. I spray a little onto targeted root areas I want lift, and works as an amazing volumizer. I think this strongly mimics the BigSexyHair Flip It Over spray. If I remember corrrectly, I like the Sally's one better as the BigSexyHair one felt very residue-like after a while.

Yes and Yes and HELL Yes!! After several months of experimenting (and many cans of hairspray) trying to find a less expensive option to my HG (Tigi Masterpiece), I have FINALLY found it - this little gem at Sally's!!!! Its a lot cheaper ($8.99 as opposed to the $19 I was paying for Tigi), it is a firm hold that lasts all day on me, imparts shine just like Tigi, but unexpectedly, it also allows me to comb it out if I need to fix a mistake - something I could not do w/ Masterpiece. I am so happy!!! WHOOT!! HG!!!

This stuff is amazing. it's perfect to spray over my side bangs to keep them in place so they don't fall in my eyes. It's the only spray that I've used that doesn't make my hair crunchy, damp looking, flakey & plastic-like. You can easily comb through it and not mess up your hair. It has SERIOUS hold. When i'm driving with the windows down and my hair is blowing all over the place, i spray this on my hair and it doesn't move. And its perfect when you want to do a poof. The bottle isn't big, so you can throw it in your purse if you need to. :) XO love it!

This is some serious hair spray. If your looking for something that you can easily brush through and re-style, pass this one on by. It's like hair shellac in a spray can. Not that that's necessarily bad, it's all about your needs. I'm from the South (where big hair never really went away) and there's still a little bit of 80's chick in me and this stuff reminds me a little of the old Matrix Performa or Proforma or whatever that I used bottles of back in the day. Your hair will not move. It has a nice smell to it and it's pretty cheap at Sally's. I think it would be really good if you were trying to keep your hair in an up-do for a wedding, prom, etc. But I like it, keeps my hair in place. I have a lot of hair but it's pretty fine and this stuff definately gives me body.

Fantastic Product! This is like invisible webbing over your hair that holds your style where you scrunch/tease it. Love to use this for really retro bouffant styles or for serious height for "rock concert" hair. Also, I'll use a little spritz at the crown to give natural volume that really lasts. Only drawback is that it should be very gently brushed out or washed out, as it holds really well.

This is a great product for fine hair that needs volume. I blow dry my straight hair using the Beyond the Zone powerlift and get lots of volume. Then I flip my hair over and spray with the flipped out spray. I only have to finger fluff my hair into place and it stays all day with lots of volume. I can even wake up the next morning with hair that still has volume and doesn't need to be rewashed (a miracle for my fine, straight, soft hair).

This stuff RULES! I recently cut my long hair into a choppy/piecey bob with flipped out ends and back, and could not for the life of me find anything to keep it that way after I dried it. Then I ran across the reviews for this stuff, lo and behold, I found my product. After drying I do as the directions say, flip hair upside down and spray, scrunch and flip back over, smooth down any wild sections and go. It holds beautifully without too much of that "crunchy" feeling and lasts all day. It's not one you can brush through afterwards, but that's not why I got it. I needed hold, volume and separation and this stuff delivers. It does tend to build up a little if you use it every day, but I've used worse so I can't really complain, especially since it works so well. I've definitely gotten more compliments on my hair since finding this gem.

Nice smell and product was to bad. It did give my hair nice hold and volume. But I had to stop using it because it was very drying and coating.

Use this if you have fine, thin hair &/or want all-day hold in climates that can get pretty humid. I have always preferred Aveda & Bumble & Bumble, but am quite happily surprised by this Sally Beauty biz. Never in my wildest dreams...

I used to use this when I wore my hair flipped in the back. I have baby fine hair and not a whole lot of it either. The lady at Sally's recommended this product and it was great! I would curl my hair, comb thru it once and then spray it with this stuff. Then I would fluff it up by pulling the flip apart with my fingers. This stuff would last all day. Since I still have some I think I'll try flipping my head over and spraying my hair like some of the other reviewers here.

My mom bought this the other day with some other BTZ products being advertised in Sally's and I decided to give it a try after reading the rave reviews here. It IS what I consider, a freeze-hold hair spray. Ladies and/or gentlemen, if you want your style put in place, USE THIS. Also, if you have dull, lifeless hair that is thin and straight, TRY THIS. You can't lose. I hair very thin hair that basically has no body to it, and I heard this was good at volumizing, so I tried it for that reason, and it was wonderful!! I used my BTZ Frizz Control Gel on my damp hair, blow-dried, then tossed my hair upside down and sprayed this citrus-scented spray into my hair! I tossed my head back up and it looked full of life and had that natural "messy volumized look" that I've been wanting to achieve! In fact, I loved this product so much, that I bought a bottle of it today for myself instead of using my mom's. I purchased the small bottle for now to save some money since I was buying some other BTZ products and deep conditioners. I paid about $4.99 and saved a little using my mom's card. I don't normally wear my heair down since I work most of the time, but when I did.. it looked big and sexy haha. The smell lingers too, which is AWESOME. I love strongly fragranced hair products since mine starts smelling a little... bleh after a while due to it becoming oily very easily. The only problem is that once you spray it, you CANNOT comb it out unless you're willing to cry and lose a lot of hair. It only comes out when you shampoo it out and I recommend using a clarifying shampoo since this probably leaves a lot of buildup. Either way, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT & WILL BUY FOREVER (or until they stop making it which will be VERY BAD!!)

I call this hair glue---it some SERIOUS hair spray. At first, I loved it because I have a terrible time finding hair spray that will actually hold my hair; however, I've been using it for a few months now and I realized that it's drying my hair out something fierce. I'll be reserving it for days when I really need the hold, now.

I don't really see how you can style your hair once you've sprayed it as the can says--it would cause bodily harm to try it. Once you've sprayed this stuff--expect it to stay unless you've got a comb and some time to work it out. I happen to love it for that reason, but it's not what they say it is.

I would most recommend this for punk and goth types attempting the old-school Robert Smith 'do, as merely spraying this on my tipped-upside-down head was enough to create an impressive level of poofiness. Brush or comb your hair, if necessary/desired, first, as this does make it difficult. Smells nice, though it is quite strong, so don't use if you don't like citrus scents or you're wearing another scent that you don't want overpowered.

This is one hardcore hairspray! I followed the directions (Tip head over and spray product into dry hair... Toss hair back for a wild and crazy look) and ended up with a really nice, messy effect. Its scent (grapefruit?) is a little cloying, so I took off a lippie. But the packaging (blue metal can), price ($6 at Sally's), and quality are unbeatable. Big rave from me!

The grapefuity scent makes this my hard-holding hairspray of choice! It will hold your hair through rain, sweat, and will still be there after a dip in the pool. If serious hold is what you need, look no farther.

This product hurt when I tried to brush my hair afterwards...Bad.
But, on the other hand, if you need your hair up for a special occasion, I'd try this.

I was expecting to be wowed by this product after reading reviews, but I have to say I was disappointed in its performance. Unlike others, I did not care for the scent at all b/c it was too strong and I kept catching wafts of it after applying and going out. I also think it has average holding power: it made my hair feel stiff, yet the style still fell. I'll stick with my Sebastian Shaper knock-offs, thank you.
