EW!!!! I was expecting gingerbread smell, not cinnamon. I bought online because i love gingerbread products when its christmas time, those they sell at Kohl's or Marshalls were what I was expecting this to smell like. Not Cinnamon. The only good thing is the cute gingerbread man. Even packaging it quite poor.

This lotion smells very strong and fake to me. It's way too spicy. in an artificial way. Also, I dropped the bottle once and the whole bottom came off and I ended up having to tape it together. Not very sturdy. Does an average job of moisturizing. Would not buy again, even for 75% off.

I remember a long time ago, B&BW made a delicious gingerbread scent in a syrup-styled bottle that was absolutely to die for. They replaced that gingerbread scent with this one, and it is decent, but nowhere near as good. This scent has a pear note that simply does not go well with the "gingerbread" part of the fragrance. Also, it just is not as scrumptious and there is nothing to help round out the spices in here. However, on the positive side, it is a warm, comforting scent. I've always loved many spicy scents, so if that is your type of thing, you might want to try this.

I'm really glad I stocked up on this because I have been using it a lot. It starts off as a spicy cinnamon, then settles into a delicious, warm gingerbread cookie scent. It's pretty strong, and lasts all day on me. I hope they re-release it this winter!

I love holiday and gingerbread type scents, but I hated this. It was really spicy smelling. I tested this but didn't buy it.

When I first sampled this in the store, I found it repulsive. However, as I walked around and let it dry down, I found that I liked it much more, so I returned to buy a bottle. Now I love it; however, I think it should be called something like "Mulled Cider" because it has that pear note which stands out. Definitely more fruity than gingerbready, and less foody than you might think. Strangely, it reminds me a little of the cologne, L'air du Temps, with which I think it could be nicely paired. The B&B Works saleswoman informed me that it isn't selling too well, but I think that's because its introductory notes aren't overly inviting.

I'm in love! Gingerbread Spice is a lovely scent combination of different spices and a touch of pear (that I can't smell). It reminds me a lot of chai tea. A very yummy scent indeed!

After reading the negative reviews I like this one more than I thought I would. It is definitely a warm spicy scent. It does have a hint of pear that I'm not wild about. I have to say the drydown is a lot better than the initial scent. When you first smell it in the bottle it does seem rather harsh and "chemically." It dries down to a much warmer and softer scent. If you hate it at first smell, you might wear it around the store or the mall for awhile and see what you think.

I am so shocked this didn't receive higher marks! I was so skeptical to try this after reading the reviews, but I am so glad I decided to give it a try regardless. I tried Vanilla bean Noel last yr and didn't care for it at all, this yr I got Winter Candy Apple(A++++) and Gingerbread Spice & adore both! This is a spicey scent with slight fruity notes, very unique to any other Gingerbread scent I have ever smelled. Yahhh, I am glad that Vanilla Bean Noel didn't turn me off from all B&BW Holiday Lotions!

I went into B&BW expecting to leave with a sweet, spicy lotion but after smelling it, I was sadly mistaken. This stuff smells AWFUL! It smells like sweet chemicals, not gingerbread. Bleck!

I love this smell! A great winter/X-mas scent that makes me feel warm and cozy. It has a sharp spicey tang that mellows out to a warm yummy smell. Very nice.

Saw this today for the first time, tried it on my hands and I am in love! This is what I wanted Origins 'Everything Nice' to smell like! spicy, warm and it lasts! I keep smelling my hands! I will go back and stock up because it is a seasonal item. If you like vanilla, and comfort food smells, this is for you, the spice note lasts! YUM!!!!

I'm normally not a foody scent lover but this is wondeful!! It smells sooo good! It relly does smell just like gingerbread! It sinks into my skin fast and leaves it nice and moisturized all day long. this is the perfect holiday scent for me!

This product is definately not for everyone...but for me, yes! If you are a person who likes different, warm, food-like scents, then you will like it! I love it for winter and use it with my Christian Dior Addict perfume. Its a great combination.

Ok-I really wanted to like this. I am sad to say it smells alot like a cheap spice car air freshener! I am pretty disappointed. I don't know where B&BW went wrong with this one. I can't place what is wrong with the scent but something is pretty off. It says it has "a touch of pear". Why pear? Why? It is supposed to be gingerbread! I know...it needs more clove and cinnamon. Maybe that would help. Beware--you may like this in the store but your opinion may change once you wear it for a while.

Gingerbread spice is more spicy than gingerbread-like, to me. It goes on initially very spicy, then a middle note of buttery/cookie like fragrance appears, and then it just becomes a "clean" fragrance on me. It's an OK lotion, but I can see getting sick of it pretty quickly. It's definitely something you would only use in the fall and winter. If anyone remembers the lotions several years back that came in plastic bottles shaped like maple syrup jars, this smells identical to the gingerbread scent from that line. I can't really say whether or not I would buy this again ... it's limited edition holiday 2003 so unlikely that I would have the opportunity to!
