Every time I wear another Armani sheer lipstick, I swear that it's my favorite color out of all the ones I have. This one is no exception. #19 looks scary greyish purple in the tube, but when I put it on, it melts into a lovely and VERY sheer color- my lips but shimmerier and mauve-ier. Gorgeous. You do need to be very cool-toned to wear this though.

This is my favorite lipstick. The texture and color are amazing. Mauvey-pinky sheer with no obnoxious sparkle and just perfect shine. Definately not a long lasting item, but great for perking up lips. Highly recommend.

Absolutely smooth and gorgeous--color reminds me of Nars Eros lacquer, but I like this better b/c it is supposed to look natural and does. You can layer for more shine.
**Update: actually, in natural light, I think it is a bit pale & washes me out... Alas...**

Ok, I'm still learning about what lipstick colours look best on me. I *do* love the formula of Sheer #19, but I'm still unsure whether it's flattering on my complexion. In the tube, it's very darkish mauvey purpley with shimmer. On the lips, it feels exactly like a gloss and is a sheer mauve pinky tone. In fact, it is so sheer I find myself sweeping this over my lips 100 times before I realize enough is enough!! The texture is divine, buttery soft. Staying power isn't too great, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice when it comes to Armani. This colour looks very similiar to my City Lip's gloss in Plum Springs. Like the other reviewers stated, I believe this would look very pretty topped w/ a gloss in the same colour family.

As always, ARMANI l/s are great quality, very moisturising and I find the shades perfect, no to dark and covering, not to creamy, they melt on the lips without covering it. I am very impressed with this color. It's a sheer mauvy pink with brown undertones. My lips are quite dark so the color doesn't show. It just gives it a light mauve shimmery look. For summer it's the best ( I am PPP with cool undertone green eyes). I wear it every days & nights since I bought it last January.... It's my new dolce vita!

As with many Armani lipsticks, this one looks completely different on my lips than in the tube. Quite frankly, in the tube, I thought Sheer #19 was borderline fugly. It looks like it would be a very cool toned mauvey bronze w/ major iridescence. I was worried that this was something I would have worn in the mid 80s - A super metallic looking cool toned disaster in a tube.
Give this one a chance, girls! On my lips, this is a soft mauve/light plum w/ subtle shimmer. Sheer Lipstick #19 a gorgeous color on its own, over a matte lipstick, or paired w/ a gloss.
It has enough brown in it so that your lips aren't that horrid washed out pale lilac that was also the rage sometime during the 80s (a dreadful decade for lipstick). This looks lovely paired with Armani Lip Shimmer #8 or Guerlain's KissKiss Gloss in Rose Tentation. Those glosses are all in the same color family as Sheer #19, just w/ less brown. I just can't give it 5 lippies, as this color adds a whole new meaning to sheer. I think the reason that many reviewers consider this a YLBB color is there's so little color to it. More gloss than lipstick, #19 is much glossier and much more sheer than other colors in the line.

This mauvey-pinky-brown sheer sparkly shade is one of my top favorite lipsticks ever- ever. Not only is the color gorgeous on my lips, the texture is unsurpassed- it's so comfy to wear and it looks so pretty and even-toned. A really great soft and neutral shade that enhances my lips beautifully and doesn't look too cakey or too "done." It's very sheer and moisturizing, kind of in between a lipstick and a gloss, but definitely a lipstick with okay staying power. This is one of the best Armani lipsticks in the collection, I am pretty comfortable in saying. Beautiful and a staple for me.

This is a pretty lilac-mauve tone that, again, I would never have chosen if not for a fabulous MA. Alone, it looks like a gloss and, as the name suggests, it is pretty sheer with only a hint of color. The color can easily be brought out with a complementary liner. The MA topped it with Lip Shimmer #4 with I also thought was a great match. I'm a GGG and I look at this lipstick and see "cool." But I'd venture to say that it's sort of neutral and can probably be pulled off by most because of the sheer quality. Staying power is not the best, but I don't really mind reapplying when necessary.

My new HG YLBB Lipstick!!! I *love* the Sheer Lipstick #19. I have waited eons to get this! I was sooo sad that it was out of stock for sooo long at the Armani counter where I purchase my m/u from. So, you can imagine my glee when I saw the lovely box waiting for me outside my door! :) This lipstick is a gorgeous ylbb rosey mauve w/ a smidge touch of plum to it. It goes on smoothly and has super fine silver shimmer. It makes my pinky pigmented lips look gorgeous! Oh, that lustrous shine! Will I buy this again? You bet! In fact, I doubt I'll wait before I run out. This is hoardworthy quality...

I was leery of the steep price but the color was perfect for me (pale redhead). It was glossy and went on like a YLBB thing. The staying power was so-so, but I liked that I didn't FEEL like I was wearing lipstick.

Gorgeous color-reminds me of my Lancome sheer magnetic in Visionary-this is cooler in tone, also slightly more sheer. I love that these lipsticks appear like lipgloss, but without the annoying stickiness/move around on lips/last for 2 seconds factor. Some of the MUAer's have complained of lack of staying power, but if you let this lipstick "set" or dry before trying to do anything (ie eat or drink) it does set and last. not as long as a thicker, heavier formulation, but certainly longer than you'd expect such a sheer appearance to last. The best sheer lipstick out there, IMHO.

This is a gorgeous lipsheer for evening. In the tube it looks like a somewhat dark lilac purple with a hint of chocolate brown and silver shimmer. On the lips, it reminds me of the effect of MAC Tuxe de Luxe lipglass - it gives lips a sheer but medium-deep berry tone (thanks to the chocolate), but is definitely lilac toned, and the silver shimmer adds a sophisticated touch. Not really a summer color, but is perfect for the fall/winter - dressy and glam but the sheer formulation makes it very subtle. I'm a LLL but I really think this color would work for all skintones. Retails for $21.50.
