Back in the day when I was super punk rock I would put crazy stuff in my hair for mohawks, spikes and the like. This was the ONLY product that would get all the crap out.

This is hands down one of the best things I have put on my hair all week. I use lots of silicone products, so I do get a buildup of gunk. This shampoo eaily removed all the crap and prepared my hair for a nice deep conditioning. I haven't had such a good hair day in a long time.

I bleach,dye and style my hair like crazy. I started using Bedheads headbanger wax which made my hair feel super gunky at the end of the day and it seemed like no matter how many shampoos..my hair still felt pretty blah.
I took a trip to sally's to pick up some bleach and asked the girl there what she thought would do a good job at removing all the access product builup and she suggested this. For 3.99 I decided to go ahead and try it. I got home,bleached my hair...which was pretty much fried anyway from keeping it bleached blonde for awhile,dyed over it with some manic panic and used this shampoo.Can I just say that this stuff is awesome! I didn't even use any conditioner afterwards and my hair is the type that you NEED to use conditioner. I combed it out..which it was a little matty,but still...after blowdrying, my hair is softer,silkier and so much shinier that it has been in a long long time! This is definetly worth checking out! I can only imagine how great it will be after using a conditioner if it's this great now!

This shampoo is fantastic. It removes hairspray and product buildup really well without drying my hair out. It smells really nice too. I like the bottle as well, its got a sort of pull-up sports drink cap, as opposed to a regular, flip top shampoo cap.

I'm a fan of BTZ products.I got a B1G1F coupon for BTZ shampoo, so I thought I'd try a few.
I bought this along with Air Head, which I've yet to try. Strip Search is great at removing all styling products, which is great if you use several products. I use Get 'n Creamed, plus a serum and hair spray. My conditioner also seemed to work better after using this 'poo. I would imagine this would be very drying if used daily, so I'd suggest to use it once a week.I noticed that my hair dried a lot faster than normal after I used this.
This also works well on de-gunking makeup brushes. A good product and less than $4.00. :)
Edited to add: I've now given this 5 lippies- I've been using this every other day, and then conditioning with Aphogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor, and it's like I have a brand new head of hair! My hair was in bad shape- (fried and crispy ends)!
Using this first really helps the conditioner work *so* much better!

This is holy grail material! I was looking for a clarifying shampoo to do one of two things - remove product /oil buildup and prepare my hair for conditioner. This did both of those wonderfully. It got rid of any residue from hair products and it helped my conditioner work ten times better. The key to this shampoo is you have to use it with some kind of conditioning treatment. Don't use it without, or your hair will be extremely dry. I'll never be without this shampoo now!

This shampoo clarifies very well. It *does* leave your hair feeling rough, but you can't expect a shampoo that is supposed to strip off the gunk to leave the hair soft and moisturized. I haven't noticed my color stripped, though I'm sure it could happen. The scent reminds me more of the cucumber melon scent that BBW has for their products.

This is THE best clarifying shampoo. It does exactly what it says it's supposed to do...it strips all the gunk from your hair and you can tell as you rinse it out. Unlike most other clarifying shampoos, it seems to open up your hair to accept moisture. So, if you condition (preferably deep condition with heat) after using this product, your hair will look and feel amazing. In fact, as soon as you put the conditioner on, you can feel your hair "accept" the moisture. When your hair is full of gunk, it will stop accepting moisture and conditioners will just sit on top.

This shampoo rules. I have been using it for over a year and it is one of the best clarifying shampoos I have ever used. It does exactley what it says it does it strips all the gunk from your hair. Whether its silicone serum, built up hair products like pomade or styling products. It has a smell that reminds me of apples. I also like the fact thats its fairly inexpensive. I think it would be good for all hair types but its not very conditioning so only use to clean the hair throughly.

If you color your hair avoid this at all costs. Strips like paint remover and a nice smelling product does not make up for the loss of expensive color. Or hair that can't be combed. My hair looked and felt like a matted dog after I used this.

i can't complain, i got this stuff free when buying busted. i don't like how it makes my hair feel really dried out and tangly. however, the smell (cucumber melon) is nice, and i've been using it up as a shaving cream. it actually works pretty well for that purpose!!

I don't generally use clarifying shampoos, so maybe it's *supposed* to make your hair feel like this, but it made my hair feel kind of rough & tangly. I have dry, colored, curly hair, and I think my hair needs something gentler. This seemed to harsh for my hair, even for weekly use.

I could see this shampoo being good for someone w. short hair who uses a lot of gunk in their hair.

Cleanses fairly well and isn't too drying, but there are other clarifying shampoos that work better, i.e. Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo. However, a plus for this one is that it smells so darn good; specifically, like Baskin Robbins Daquiri Ice sherbet (yum!) Unfortunately, even this isn't too much of a plus since the scent disappears as you lather up. =(
