i really want to like this because the packaging is so cute and the consistency is really nice.. however i think it gave me really deep white heads on my cheeks that took about a week to heal.

Although it's supposed to be a "clear" essence this is actually like a milky lotion. To be honest, I bought it for the bottle. The packaging is really nice - glass bottle with pump - and hygienic.
However! The product is also pretty good. It does help whiten my skin and it hasn't made my oily-combo skin break out (yet), so that's a good sign. I do find however that it has a really odd, vitamin-y sort of smell...which might be good meaning that they didn't add scent. The biggest quibble I have with it is that it feels kind of oily when I put it on and my skin feels sticky (even my dry hands feel sticky after putting it on). It's not very good to use during the day because I don't feel good putting makeup on sticky greasy skin! Nevertheless, as a night lotion it seems to work (and as I mentioned, I havn't had a breakout yet!).
I certainly wish Kose would put English instructions and ingredients on their products. I want to find out what they have in this that is making me so oily!
Nice to try, but I think I'll look for another lotion when I'm done with this one.
