I've been using this foundation everyday for about a week now, and I have to say, it's pretty darn good. I apply it in the morning, and by the time I get home from work about 9 hours later, my face still looks pretty good. Not like it was just applied, but I don't look a hot mess either. I don't use primer or anything like that. Just set it with Revlon's Nearly Naked powder and I'm good to go. My only problem is the coverage isn't great, but it is still good enough. As long as I have a pretty good concealer.
As for helping with acne, it didn't. It didn't cause any new breakouts either, so I guess that's good enough.

I tried a daily application of this foundation for a week and decided to return it. I loved the idea of having a foundation that would double up as an acne treatment that actually sits on the skin and gets absorbed, since most cleansing systems for acne supposedly are ineffective because the salycylic acid or benzoyl peroxide ingredients are washed off before they take noticeable effect, or at least that what every Beautypedia review says about every acne cleanser.
I bought the SkinClearing foundation in shade 60, a perfect match for my yellow-toned, light-medium skin. Though this foundation is surprisingly sheer on application and provides little coverage for scars or redness (hence the SkinClearing Blemish Concealer was a coupled product), it feels lightweight, is a little buildable, and most importantly, breathable. My skin felt fresh all day, like there was no makeup on.
... which brings me to the reason why I ended up returning it. I typically only apply face makeup in the morning with setting powder and expect it to hold up for most of the day with maybe one touch-up of concealer mid-day. Even with powder, the SkinClearing foundation, sheer as it is, doesn't hold up for even half the day. On my oily skin, despite using setting powder, the foundation practically disappeared when I was at work--indoors and with air-conditioning. When I removed my makeup like usual in the evening, there was hardly any foundation pigment on the makeup wipe. This seems like a foundation that would have to be reapplied mid-day, and I simply don't have time to reapply a foundation that barely lasts 4 hours if I can use an acne-fighting moisturizer and 8-hour foundation over it and get more effective results.
I can't say that this was an effective acne treatment-foundation since I only used it for a week before returning it, but it didn't worsen my acne. It feels more like treatment than foundation though. I ended up liking the expensive alternative acne makeup of choice, Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup, which is full-coverage and $27. However, considering that the Neutrogena SkinClearing makeup is about $12 per 1oz bottle and I would probably have to use two applications a day to maintain some coverage, in the 6 months that a 1oz bottle typically lasts me, the Neutrogena SkinClearing Makeup would probably come out to almost the same price as the Clinique one, with the Clinique one only needing one application.
I haven't tried the SkinClearing powder from Neutrogena, but having tried their SkinClearing concealer and liquid foundation in a time of need against a stress-acne break-out, I was left sorely disappointed.

Had high expectations for this product. If youve been struggling with acne all you ever want is makeup that helps heal it and thats probably what made me so excited to try this.. But everytime i try it it breaks me out. Ive always thought like maybe it was just my skin that day that made me breakout but no its this product because when i use my koress foundation nothting happens but everytime i reach for this foundation i regret it the next day. So not worth it , doesnt help with blemishes it just gives you more. Sucks .

Made me break out!??

Keep in my mind that I use Neutrogena's Rapid Clear Oil-Eliminating Foaming Clenser "for shine control that lasts for hours" which keeps my super oily/greasy acne prone no matter what product I use skin completely shine free for forever it seems which makes any face makeup I use stick like glue. Now onto this Skin Clearing makeup; I did not buy it for medical reasons. I simply needed a foundation that covered up my red red face that comes from excessive acne. I was really hoping that Nude 40 was my color match and it turned out to be dead on. At first I would use it with a primer and the matching skin clearing powder of the same brand and color and that would only help so much. Then I decided to skip primer and powder altogether and use just the foundation. I personally found that because of the acne fighting agent in it I did not need a primer because it dried so well onto my oily skin and really clung well which I know for dryer skin isn't good but for me was really nice. Then on top of my face wash I use in the shower I absolutely needed no touch ups what so ever with this foundation. My skin looked so natural, fresh and dry which is exactly what I need. Bottle could be a tube, the price could be cut in half but for the staying power and color correction this does I will be repurchasing.

My friend with gorgeous skin keeps telling me to use the Healthy Skin foundation, but I keep pushing back because it's supposed to be a dewy finish and I have an oily T-zone. Instead, I figured I'd give this one a try, thinking it would be better suited to my skin.
The color match was reasonable. The consistency was ok and it didn't feel gross on my skin. But in an interesting twist of irony, this foundation made me break out. I think this experience was the final thing I needed to convince me that I can't use anything with salicylic acid in it.

I've been using this product for about 6 months and I really love it!
It has salicylic acid, which is supposed to be skin clearing. It's not going to get rid of pimples, but it definitely won't cause any! it has really good coverage, I only need a little bit of concealer on top of it
They have a good selection of colors, too

Amazing coverage. Terrible formula. Literally broke me out so bad and my skin is still not recovered from it from months ago. This is definitely not skin clearing, honestly the complete opposite.

I love Neutrogena products so I decided to give this a try. It had a nice lightweight feel on my face but the coverage was very sheer and it dried my skin out bad. It also did nothing for oil control and did not last more than 3 hours before it was rubbing off. Way too expensive for a drugstore foundation, especially one that did not work.

i like the formula, and color-matching, it does seem to clear up some of my occasional pimples, but acne isnt a big issue for me so i cant really judge, but i dont like the bottle too much, if not careful, can overpour. but id still buy it again
