awesome, great, wonderful everyday sunscreen! ive waited 3 weeks to write a review and still cant get over how well this works for me.

after taking a break from my quest to use all-physical sunscreens due to the fact that every single one had some kind of problem (drying, shiny, white), i found this one at sephora and have been nothing but pleased with it.

in-part physical with titanium dioxide, it has a moisturizer-like texture that blends in to skin leaving absolutely no white cast. i havent had trouble with the 'pilling' problem-if i did you can be sure this would have made its way straight back to the store. the only thing close ive had is when ive managed to get a large amount of product piled up in one area and then it will flake. however, applying the way i normally do, with a large dot on each plane of the face and rubbing them in one at a time, this never happens.

the finish is, as advertised, completely matte. and its kindof a soft matte, ie. not powdery or tight feeling. just smooth and shine-free. my powder foundation sweeps right over it and the result is flawless (i mean, as flawless as is possible for me!), soft, matte skin.

the truly amazing part for me is how it keeps my face moisturized all day yet causes no breakouts. in fact, since ive been using it i have been using no other acne treatments during the day, and at night when im washing it off, no new clogged pores!

the price is very reasonable for how much product you get. im estimating that the bottle i bought this month will last me till summertime with daily use. if youre a shiny/acne prone person, give this one a try!

I do like this product. Does mattify the skin and provides 30+ sunscreen. Didn't make me break out so thats a major bonus there form me. All in all a decent product nothing really bad to say about it.

Okay, first the good. It does indeed mattify my skin, without stripping it dry. It hasn't made me breakout (yet) and it seems to be working as far as the sun prevention (I live in TX and right about now it is 95 or hotter all day every day) ... now the bad. This stuff is like face paint - it is thick and white and it pills all over my skin. Disgusting! I've tried using only a very tiny bit and it *still* leaves a white pilly residue no matter how I try to apply it. For the price tag, I expect something that doesn't make my morning routine all the more difficult. Blech, will not repurchase.

This product did not do anything taht it promises except that it provides sun protection. My skin was sticky and oily...not worth the 30 dollar price tag.

I tried this 1 bottle but all i can say is not good enough for keeping me from oily. I live in Thailand, exactly like SUMMER all year. Kiss BASE from Japan is only one thing to save my life.. If you have OILY skin " Kiss Matte Chiffon Base is one item you MUST try.

Ive been using this for a few days now and i really like it. My skin is combo but my t-zone gets very oily and this keeps oil down for a while, but not ALL day. I like the consistency, it sinks in pretty quick and the smell is very light and goes away shortly after i apply it. Im pretty happy with this and will probably continue to purchase. I just wish it would keep me matte all day but i doubt any product will do that.

EDIT: I no longer use this. Issue with UVA coverage and can clump ocassionally.

I have been using this product for about 4 years now. I have super oily skin and large pores and I hate how sunscreen makes my skin feel. But this is the best. I put it on and it leaves my skin matte - I even use it at night. It lasts a long time. Catch is that you should use a light gel moisturizer before you use this and then quickly apply to skin and stop rubbing it in - after a certain point it balls up. It also may leave a whitish cast if you use to much. But it really is the best sunscreen out there for oily/acne prone skin. I experiment with others but this is the only one I have repurchased consistently in the last 4 years.

This is the worst sunblock I have ever used. When I applied it, I got funky white pills, flakes allover my skin. At first I thought it was because of my face but I applied some on my arms and got the same. The concept is good though- matte, oil free, fragrance free, spf 30- it just didn't work for me at all.

I didn't think any facial sunscreen could make me give up my DHC White Sunscreen, but this one has. I use this every morning after moisturizing and before my foundation. Yes, it comes out of the tube quite white, but as long as I smooth it in lightly. it blends into my skin with no streaks or residue. You must be careful not to rub it into your skin - just smooth it across - or the product will tend to pill up. When they call it matte finish, they mean it. This sunscreen has even provided a great base for my foundation, and I SWEAR that I don't get the oilies nearly as quickly as I usually do, even in humidity. I have pale and sensitive skin, and this has provided great protection without breaking me out or giving me a rash. And hurray for no silicones, as I'm allergic to them. I honestly think it's the best value for the money...I paid $28 at Sephora for this, but the bottle is huge (4 oz), and will probably last me well more than a year with daily use. That's really a pittance when it comes to protecting my skin. I think this product is fabulous.

This is the best face protector/moisturizer that I've ever tried. It has a high SPF factor, no harsh fragrances or colours, and is non-greasy and absorbs nicely. It IS white coming out of the tube like a sunscreen but doesn't leave any streaks, residue or chalkiness. It had a lovely consistency for someone looking for a lighter-feeling formula. I can apply it under makeup as well, and it works well as a base, giving my skin a lovely dewy look. Most importantly, it has withstood the real test - an afternoon outside in the burning sun with no sun burn to speak of. I will definitely repurchase this one - expensive, yes, but worth it.

I've tried ALOT of sunscreens for my oily sensitive combo skin. I hate feeling like there is goo on my face. This is the ONLY product so far that does EXACTLY what it says. I'm mattified...even while biking. I will definitly be using this product again.

I love to try oil-free product. This is the most matte sunscreen for me (comparing to Lancome, Clarins, Shiseido, Dior)

My ultimate sunscreen! I Love it because it does not break out my wildly acne prone skin, it has great SPF & it provides a nice base for my mineral makeup! I will never be without this product! Non greasy, very lightweight. The only thing is that you have to blend really well along the eyebrows. This is well worth the $$$. I use it every day & it lasts me at least 3 months.

I was suckerd into buying this from a DDF special at Sephora one day along with the other cleanser and sunscreen. Well this product is OK. I liked it at first. I have teenage oily/combo/acne prone skin and it helped me stay matte but the white-ness just isnt pretty. Now the lady at sephora told me when applying you MUST patt it in with your fingers, NOT rub it in to you dont turn white but it still does! I just dont feel like it really moisturizes my skin, and for the price i paid I dont think it should have this many cons
UPDATE!!!!!: Well I went to Nordstrom's DDF counter and the lady told me that it was basically sunscreen without any moisturizing factor in it! Overall, dont buy this product, just buy coppertone if you need some sunscreen! this did nothing for me!

It was recommended to me by a SA from Sephora. This is the first high-end sunscreen I ever bought so had high expectations for it.
It did not do anything in the way of controlling oil but didn't break me out either.

I would have continued using it had I not found out just today that it's not UVA stable. Very very disappointed

I loved this matte SPF until i saw how much alcohol it has in it to make it matte. I wonder maybe if i just buy cheap banana boat & add my own alcohol in to make it matte. -No i will not repurchase although it made my skin feel wonderfully matte longer than most SPFs.

I have oily/combination skin and this moisturizer does mattify. Unfortunately, it pills on your face! Little white balls of product..and I'm using it sparingly!

I love this sunscreen. Since silicones are so popular in skincare and makeup, they are virtually in every product that needs a "slip factor". Unfortunately, silicones break me out. This sunscreen doesn't contain silicones. It doesn't break me out, doesn't interfere with makeup, and absorbs quickly. I don't have oily skin, so I can't comment on the mattifying factor though. The only downside is that if you apply too much, then it'll kind of ball up on you because not all of the product will absorb into the skin. You only need a little less than a dime size dab for your whole face. This is worth the price for me mainly because it was the first sunscreen I tried after I realized my Neutrogena Ultra Sheer one was breaking me out. I guess I'm just thrilled that I didn't have to go through tons of sunscreens to find one that worked. ;-)

Good product, but still looking for something better, i.e.(less expensive). Can ball up if you "move" it too much- do not rub in- just smooth it over skin. Will not grease your skin up- but I'm not sure about it's mattifiying abilities.

Love it, best SPF 30 sunscreen on the market (good ones are so hard to find). Used it for several month, worked well, felt good, and did not break me out even though it had Vitamin E. I will keep using and using for my oily acne prone skin. My only gripe on this is that if u use too much, its hard to blend and leaves white film particles on ur skin. Not easy to wear under my channel double perfection foundation either since both are matte. Still trying to solve this riddle. EDIT: Lowered it from a 5 to a 3. I found that Octyl Palminate as an ingredient clogs pores, a rating of 5 in the comedogenic scale. No wonder my skin still broke out while using it. Since then I have found something much better and cheaper - Kiss my face face factor and MD formulations SPF 30. Both are my HGs and are the only ones that do not break me out. And RUN RUN away from Neutrogena too.
