In general, I find MAC eyeshadows and products to be very garish and unwearable but this was a huge exception. It's entirely matte, which I prefer unless I want a little punch and drama. For a daytime look though, I love mattes and this fits the bill. There is a little bit of a warmer cream color, a nude shade, a dark brown and I believe a medium pink shade. If you can find this discontinued quad, I strongly urge you to get it.

I like this quad really well, and it's very wearable (NC20/25, green eyes) for me. The only thing I wish is that they didn't have showstopper in both this quad and the Diana Eyes 2 quad. This quad creates a lovely natural eye that can easily be changed to make a great evening eye.

This quad makes a brilliant daytime look very easy to achieve. The soft colours are shades of brown and taupe and blends beautifully to create a natural look which is polished and sophisticated. The MAC quality shines through and ensures that these shadows will work for you under any circumstances.

This is my favorite daytime look. I like Dior's quint Beige Massai really well, but this one just might top it. It is just right for daytime and can be played up at night. I just wish it weren't LE. All of the colors look amazing on my LLL complexion--the peachy pink plays up my blue eyes, and the dark brown is perfect as a daytime liner or smudged out for evening. Very, very pleased with this palette.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this, thanks to a fellow MUAer :) WOW! I cant begin to say how happy I am with this palette. The colors are beutiful and easy to combine. Its perfect for work and day wear. MAC has such great quality shadows! The case is great because you can see through it. The texture nice, soft, powdery. Its better quality than my bobbi brown & Nars paletter :) I love it!

Ooooh, Aaaaah...this is such a great "no-brainer" palette for those days when you just don't want to waste time on trying to color co-ordinate your look or spend too long on makeup!! I even prefer this over my Christian Dior 5-pan shadows, which I found to bit too powdery and dry. Super for a natural face, the pink e/s doubles as a lovely pale pinky-peach blush too! I also use a blend of showstopper and taupe note for filling in my brows, so all I have to do is throw in lipgloss and I'm ready to go!
I'm in a bit of shimmery shadow rut and having a palette of matte colors is a nice change. Others have done a great job of decribing the shades so I won't repeat. The shadows have a nice velvety feel to them and are pigmented enough to show up on my lids at just a touch of the brush. I love this so much that I actually have another back-up palette!!

This quad really is foolproof, imo. It's great for work, and any time when I just can't make decisions.
Performance is a pale cream/beige, and makes a great base.
Taupe Note is similar (IIRC) to Stila Puppy - a slightly yellow-based light brown, rather than a cool taupe. Camel, really. I wear it on the outer third of my lid, and have used is as liner for my lower lashes.
Soft Heart works really well as a pseudo-crease shade on me. It brightens up the look without closing up my eyes. It's a very neutral pink with slight peach tones.
Showstopper looks boring in the pan, but it's a great greyed-brown liner. Used with a push brush, it looks very natural, but it can also be smoked out. It is similar to Smut, minus the purple and red flashes.
I don't usually like MAC shadows. These, I do. The texture is nice and smooth, and the matte effect is not at all chalky.

I love this quad. A great overall neutral quad and this does make my face look brighter and also when I feel like wearing a bright lipstick to it. The pink e.s in this quad helps to soften the look and make it more feminine and girly. I so wished the colors were not LE !!!

Well, I happened to be looking for a good palette (eyes, cheeks, lips) and came across this little darling. Some might call this boring, but it actually holds a very good set of classics/basics, and at an incredible price for value. Performance (light matte buttercream) and Taupe Note (matte taupe) make fantastic staples, while Showstopper (dark mahogany, like BB Mahogany) were the perfect match for my eyebrows/liner. Soft Heart (a light pastel pink) was something I didn't care for, as I'e found that pink shadows make eyes look puffy. However, when brushed on the cheeks, it creates a very soft, natural flush, probably one of the most natural shades for blush I've ever seen. Plus, I'd been using BB Dream Kit for a while, and found her formulas to be too thick/heavy (and I use the lightest touch when it comes to makeup). Beautiful the shades may be, all her e/s and blushes made break out to some degree (must be the Laureth-7?). The Liza Eyes:AM is much smoother in consistency and easier to blend. Also, the kit is palm-sized (about 10cm x 10cm) which is a big plus for me as it's easy and convenient to take around. That was impossible for the BB Dream Kit. Liza Eyes doesn't come with a mirror, but with this quality at such a fantastic price, I'd never complain (just stick your own in!). It's something I will definitely use all the time, so no money has been wasted. This is definitely a keeper, and I truly hope it doesn't get discontinued.

I got this in a swap and when I first looked at it I thought, "another boring eyeshadow quad". But NO, it is not boring at all!!! The e/s are very beautiful and this is my "I woke up late and let me get ready in a hurry makeup". But you can add a little bit more of the dark brown to make it more dramatic for the evening!!!! This is one great quad!!!!

OK, I guess I'll be the dissenting vote on this one...I bought this palette based on the raves about the colors & texture. The colors were nice overall - I found Taupe Note a little off w/ the rest of the shades, but still very nice. The texture however was awful!! Soft Heart has hardly any pigment & this one & Taupe Note were impossible to blend - even w/ my 217 blending brush! This quad just did nothing for me & was too hard to work w/ texture-wise, so it went back :( Sorry Liza!

Hmmm.. I really like this palette, but I can't seem to use the colors together. I like to use the pink (Soft heart) with sweeten-up and the light peachy color (Performance) for a smokey pink eye. I like using the darkest color(Show stopper) as a liner, but the brown shade (Taupe note) doesn't seem to work for me. It kind of washes me out, which is weird. It looks really similar to soba, but without the shimmer. When I attempt to use Taupe note on my eyes it does make me look.. sickly. It works on my really light blonde eyebrows though to define them.. Odd! Overall, I love the palette.
I'm olive toned, blonde hair, brown eyes. FFF/MMM. Pigmented lips.

This quad really is foolproof, imo. It's great for work, and any time when I just can't make decisions.
Performance is exactly the colour of my skin, and makes a great base.

A very wearable quad for an Asian NC20. I love neutral stuff VERY much and this is just made for me! It's my HG for my everyday-office-work makeup, and I can see myself reaching it a lot as the highlighter for night-outs too. A must-have for everyone.

I liked this quad so much that I bought two. It's a great starter quad for someone who doesn't have a lot of eyeshadow, or in my case, for someone who owns no matte eyeshadow. The colors are fairly basic, neutral shades that create a polished, natural look that's perfect for the office. They may not work for darker-skinned ladies, though, as the colors are relatively light. (I'm C3, olive-skinned, Asian.)

I really love neutral eye shadows and this palette is a keeper. Great quality MAC shadows with wonderful neutrals. The pink shade is great for an accent color. I thought I loved BB's Nude on Nude Palette (and I still do), but this wins by a hair.

Unfortunately, this palette didn't strike me as particularly interesting. Perhaps it's just because I already have my fair share of neutral, everyday eyeshadow palettes. This is a very wearable, practically fool-proof palette of natural neutral shades. Perfect for travel or for work...just not terribly exciting, I guess.

This quad was just released with the Liza collection. It features 4 brand new eye shadow shades in Performance, Taupe Note, Showstopper and Soft Heart. The quad is great for a soft daytime look but you can also create a more dramatic look with it as well. The colors are pretty neutral IMO. Performance is a light beige matte shade that I use as a base shade. Taupe Note is a matte medium brownish camel shade. Showstopper is a black grey color that I used as a liner and in the outer lid. Soft heart is a soft matte pink shade. All of these shades are matte and creates a soft neutral look. I think this palette could work for a lot of people with different skin tones. I don't think that I'll be using the pink as much but the other three are pretty versatile. I also have the PM quad and this one is definitely more wearable. The PM quad in comparison is a lot brighter. This quad retails for $32 USD.
