I was looking for an eyebrow pencil in a colour that would suit my light hair and fair skin tone and was advised this product. I liked the colour and the way you can accurately work with the pencil, but I had to exchange it twice in the store within 4 weeks - the pencil got stuck and wouldn't twist to come out. The second time I was told that the reason it was stuck was because I used all of it - hard to believe given the small amounts I was using and if so, worthless to spend so much money on something that lasts for 4 weeks. Total waste of money.

I'm an NC 35 for color reference, platinum blonde hair.
Yet another amazing product from MAC. From their blushes, Mineralize Skin finishes,Eyeshadows and their Prolong Wear Foundation (my Holy Grail). I adore this brow pencil. I love the fact that it's retractable, and the quality of it. I am platinum blonde - naturally, I have dirty blonde hair. Despite having very dark skin because I am part Mexican, I have blonde eyelashes and light eyebrows. I used to be a tweeze-a-holic therefore I had severely sparse eyebrows to the point where it didn't even look like I had eyebrows without make up. it was horrible. This eyebrow pencil was perfect for those horrid days, it is super pigmented yet waxy and it is actually natural looking. I have finally almost fully grown my eyebrows over the past year, but I miss having polished brows. This pencil doesn't look painted on and looks really natural. Like my eyebrows, but better. This is the perfect shade for my platinum hair, normally it's very hard for me to find an eyebrow pencil/color that isn't over powering or over the top. Usually the selections they have for blondes is completely too light and doesn't even show up or is way too dark and makes me look like a drag queen. That's why I am so grateful for this product. My only complaint is that sometimes when you screw up the product and put it on your brows it snaps off and a chunk of the eyebrow pencil is just wasted. This is also extremely expensive. Like, 18$ after tax. Kind of ridiculous, especially because the product really doesn't last that long with daily use. I do find this very comparable with Maybelline's Define A Brow pencil, but I do like Fling much better for Blonde's and it is definitely better quality. If you have sparse brows or you want fierce brows, this is definitely worth the money. :)

I like this. I thought Fling would be very light but it's the perfect colour for me. It's not too dark and great for light to medium complexions. It is easy to apply and so far have used it for 6 months and still going strong. It has a retractable mechanism which i like. Overall I would rate this as very good as it gives a natural looking finish. Tip: Apply your favourite concealer below the brow line to give you the illusion your brows are more arched.

The product itself is fine. The colour is also good (being ash rather than reddish). But charging THIS amount of money for such a minute quantity of product is, frankly, risible.
If you use this pencil every day it will last about 2 months. Tops. You could buy FOUR eyebrow pencils in literally an identical colour ( drugstore, supermarket) which will perform and look the same as 1x Fling. The product is ok, but in no way that fabulous or unique to warrant that price. My advice: only buy if no other, better value waxy eyebrow pencil fits in terms of colour. Which is unlikely.

I ordered this product in the "Fling" color from Macy's on-line and when it arrived I thought, "this will be much too light". But I was quite wrong. It's the perfect color for my brows which are beginning to get a little grey in them. I really liked the very thin tip, which made it very easy to apply and the color seems to last all day. It's a winner!

My HG brow liner. I love this stuff. I just wish one tube would last me longer. This is the perfect color for my brows. It fills them in without causing them to look unnatural. I love how thin the product stick is. This is comparable to Maybelline's Define-A-Brow, but in my opinion, this one's much better. I don't like the comb end on the Define-A-Brow, and ultimately, this color matches much better. I was having a hard time deciding between the two as my HG, but those factors are what caused me to choose this one.
It's really great, and it's not over the top expensive either.
EDIT: I've switched over to Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow pen in Universal Deep. It looks much more natural than this brow pencil and lasts longer for the money. I can't say I wouldn't purchase this brow pencil ever again, but the Anastasia one has definitely taken over as my HG.

About me: NW10-15 (neutral-cool toned, very fair), blue eyes, Color season is True Summer, Baumann Skin Type is OSPW.
My hair used to be blonde, now it's a warm light brunette. This brow crayon looks so natural when used for day looks. I love it. I just see that I probably will use up this product very quickly and thus it seems expensive to keep repurchasing.

If you are a natural blonde then this is your go-to eyebrow pencil. I have tried many over the years and I always come back to this one.
The shade is very cool which I appreciate. Any other supposedly blonde eyebrow pencils turned out to make my brows look red-ish and completely unnatural! My brows are very thin and ash blonde and this is perfect to fill them in. I swear, no one even knows I use an eyebrow pencil, that's how natural it looks (and I sometimes tend to give myself quite defined brows with the help of this).
I will definitely keep buying this for as long as they make it!

AMAZING for blondes! I have very thin eyebrows naturally and have to fill them in everyday to look normal :) This is the perfect shade, because it has no warmth in it which can look very artificial and odd for blondes. Additionally, the fine point helps to create a very clean edge, if that's the look that you're going for. Unfortunately I go through them faster than I'd like, but I think that is because I have to use more than most because my brows are so thin. I will always repurchase.

This is the best eye brow pencil I have ever used, and the color is perfect for my pale complexion and blonde locks. Serisouly it's so hard to find a lighter brow color (not powder) that isn't kind of red or orange. Fling is also very easy to use, it goes on smooth and precise exactly where you want it. You know those really hard brow pencils? I hate those, I always feel like I rip my skin trying to get the color on: this one is soft but not overly waxy. It lasts all day on but is also easy to wash away in the evening. I have used like 3 or 4 of these already.
One star goes away though, because the product is so darn expensive and there seems to be so little product in the package. I use it almost every day and it lasts only for like 2 months or even less, whereas my brow pencils run out in years, lol. It's also hard to tell how much of it is left, so you always have to have a spare on hand. I so wish Mac would have a "real" pencil in this color and smoothness.

I finally gave in and splurged on this because I was not satisfied with my drugstore eyebrow pencils, each of which were too red, or too dark, or too hard to sharpen, etc...
Fling is great because it's very thin, requires no sharpening, and has a cool ash base instead of red. My hair does have red tones, but I think a cool-toned pencil just suits my face better. The texture is also very good, firm but slightly waxy, so it's easy to control and layer, and my brows are held in place just a little bit without any need for gel.
Right now my brows are in good condition, so I don't have to wear Fling every day, but this is my favorite brow product for days where my brows do need some touching up.

The colour is nice but the pencil is a disaster - you cannot screw it back and it breaks all the time. Considering its cost it's a waste of money.

I have dark blonde hair and light blonde eyebrows. I was looking for a brow pencil that's light enough but not leaning towards gray.
Fling is the perfect light ash blonde color I need to fill my brows. Looks very natural and application with feathery strokes is a breeze.
I also like the packaging, sleek and practical. Only thing, keep in mind not to twist too much- that way the tip of mine never broke. Since bold brows look too bold on my fair skin blonde hair I use it lightly, so it lasts a long time. Would repurchase.

I am IN LOVE with this eyebrow pencil. My hair color is naturally an ashy light brown color. It is very difficult for me to find an eyebrow pencil that matches my mousey colored hair. This is the only pencil I have been able to find that is a perfect match and I absolutely love it. I always keep an extra on hand in case I run out. The price is expensive, but completely worth it. I would be interested in trying other eyebrow pencils if I could find one that was as wonderful as a color as fling.

HG brow pencil. I alternate between using a powder/brush/gel and this pencil, but I always come back to this when I need precision. The fine tip is perfect, the colour is perfect and the fact that it doesn't require a sharpener is awesome.
But why is there SO little product? Feels like a total rip off for how quickly this can be used up. Dupes, anyone? Until I can find one, I'll be shelling out the dough for Fling.
EDIT: Found a dupe in the little green Maybelline Define-a-Brow in 'dark blonde.' I swear these things are made in the same factory.

I love this color for my brows as it is not too warm like a lot of pencils can be, but it lasts for about three weeks before it is all used up! I couldn't believe how little product there was. It's a shame because it is such a nice product, but there is no reason to be spending $15 a month on a brow pencil. C'mon on MAC! That being said, if you don't mind paying that much every month, it really is a great product! Sometimes the tip can break off (even if it is a short amount sticking out) but it is such a good color.

I love the mac pencil but know most of these pencil are made by the same Co just put different brands names on them.
I found 2 pencils at Rite Aid. First one is Almay 7.50 and the other was Maybelline 5.99
Same exact thin twist tip and goes on the same. They also both had brushes on the end to blend.
The Almay is exactly like the expensive Dior pencil with the brush on the end. Dior 32.00 Almay 7.50 (had 1.00 rebate)
I'd check out you mac pencil color with these companies and it goes on the same..
The Almay shows made in the same place as the Mac pencil.
The Mabbelline color for light blonde was the close to the Mac(Fling) However the Almay for dark blonde was exactly like the Dior. I just blended it a bit more and it was perfect.
Huge saving!

I have reddish hair but my brows are very blonde. Without a pencil they look sparse because not only are my brows very blonde but they are also have really fine hairs. I have tried many pencils and powders and I have yet to find one that works as well as this pencil. This pencil fills in my brows quite nicely without giving them a drawn on look. I have found that many pencils give you a drawn on look unless you use an extremely light touch. With this pencil it takes very little time to fill in my brows and I don't have to worry about making super light tiny strokes. The color works well with my skin tone and hair color. I have very fair skin and even with reddish colored hair this color still looks natural. I have yet to find another brow pencil in a blonde color that actually looks blonde. I find most blonde colored pencils look far more brown than blonde. I really like this pencil.

Definitely one of my favorite brow pencils. Color is just right, staying power and consistency are all there. You do need to be careful not to have too much of the tip exposed while applying, IMO, because I have had the tip almost break off if I wasn't careful.
