This is a really beautiful color and that's what lured me into buying it in the first place. Its such a deep red/burgundy color which is absolutely gorgeous. It has a creamy texture and isn't drying. It lasts a long time but i found that it does sink into the lines of my lips and doesn't look good after an extended amount of time. It also tends to leave that ring of color on your outer lip after you've eaten and drank. Not very flattering. To have a more even application i like to put a little bit of lip balm underneath before applying. Overall, a great lip color for fall/winter. But not one for extended wear

This caught my attention when I noticed reviewers saying it is a dupe for MAC Dubonnet. Well, I was curious...I would much rather try a $5 Revlon lipstick than pay for a MAC one on a color I don't wear all the time but have been very curious about. FYI - I am NW20, with almost black hair, brown eyes, rosey lips.

So here is the good news:

*Beautiful brick red...deep and rich. It is a touch less bold IMO than VGI. Really looks great on me and it is a SL Creme finish (my fave).

*I bought two of these on clearance for $1.50 at Target (as of this review).

Now it is time for the bad news:
*As of this review, I believe this is LE or being discontinued. It was not listed on the Revlon website and Target had them all on clearance.

*This is a gorgeous fall/winter color, that I just purchased in March. So, I won't get to play with this much till September.

And don't get this confused with the uber dark Black Cherry (more of a purple tone), this is Blackberry.

Blackberry is a lovely red wine color that I wasn't sure about, but I've gotten several compliments when wearing this lipstick. I love the creamy texture and the color is very long-lasting. This color is a little dark for daytime, unless you blot it really well and put on a lipgloss to mute the deep redness. But, I think it's the perfect color to go out dancing!

This is lovely, rich red. On me, it's the perfect everyday red, especially when applied sheerly or blotted. It's a neutral red with a bit of brown. Like all SL lipsticks on me, I can get 4-5 hours of wear out of one application as long as I'm not drinking or eating. I usually drink lots of water and remove my lipstick before meals though. It's also a bit drying, but lip balm underneath helps.

I recommend that anyone looking for a neutral red that is not in-your-face bright or vampy to try this.

This product is fantastick! It is, as others described, a deep, bloodlike red. It is not drying like Maybelline or MAC lipsticks, and it's also not tested on animals. Unlike Maybelline Color Sensational, Revlon lipsticks have less scent. It's half the price of MAC's Dubonnet.
I like it for its versatility. For everyday I just put on very little, and it pretty much stains my lips for hours. Used that sparingly, it looks like Clinique's Black Honey, especially if you put balm over it. It can also be applied more heavily for special occasions; you can apply it with a medium hand for office work or very heavily to look like a Goth. No matter how you apply it, it looks beautiful.
This product is also works well as an eyeshadow. I'm not sure how many of you wear blood-red eyeshadow, but I almost always wear red eyeshadow. It doesn't look very daring if you put on just a little.

A fantastic Revlon product for its price, colour payoff and longevity. On my NC43 skin, this $8 gem shows up as a dark red/bordeaux colour that lasts all day if applied over a moisturized lip and I avoid touching anything to my mouth. Given the impracticality of not eating or drinking, I'd suggest a lipliner or the blot/reapply method to lessen smearing and transferring.

Beautiful dark red wine color!! I bought this last year and I still have more than half the tube left. Out of the three types of Revlon Super lustrous lipsticks, the creme line is the best. I love matte finishes and the creme line has a matte finish without being too dry like the matte line.

Pros:
Dark red wine color
Matte finish
Not too drying but still needs lip balm
Long lasting
Doesn't settle in creases

Cons:
Only last for 3-4 hours

It's a beautiful colour, formula, and product. Very flattering on me & probably anyone contemplating it. Has a warm tone to it, and makes my complexion look rich, my skin more luminous, as opposed to washed out.

An exact match for Guerlain's RA Vega IMO, except that one has more of a glossy finish and goes on a bit more sheer, so looks a hair brighter (which doesn't look good on me). So if you prefer a creamy/thicker finish, with a beautiful sheen that makes your lips look plumper, then you will like this better, regardless of price.

When you wipe it off, it leaves a soft reddish stain, which I like.

It does look super brown in the tube, but not when I put it on -- it's a pretty, muted neutral red. Kind of nice for fall because of that muted quality.

No strong scent, decent texture (not super moisturizing but less drying on my lips than NYC Retro Red), satin finish, good pigmentation, and decent staying power.

I have pale, yellow-tinged cool skin and deep auburn dyed hair verging on wine and this shade is pretty flattering on me. Going by the fact that it also looks great on olive-skinned women and fair women with dark hair, I'd agree it probably is as universally flattering as people say. It's dramatic without being necessarily punch-you-in-the-eye arresting.

I dug this out from under my car seat this weekend. It hadn't melted out of the tube and was amazingly intact. I have been aware of this lipstick for a long time because it looked amazing on one of my extended family members. I didn't remember to what extent I liked it on myself. However, it was in my hand so I gave it a try as a stain by dabbing it on and blending. It really looked great that way. I tried it full on later and it is too vampy for me, partly because of my age (50s but holding up well). Using it as a stain gave it more of a deep summer berry look. I wore it for an afternoon and it really lasted and as others reviewers said, it fades to a lighter berry. I tried it with MAC Beet lipliner lightly at the lipline; this is a good liner with it that brings out more of the red quality instead of the dark quality. I'm not a super big fan of Revlon lipsticks, but some of them are really great and most are worth a try. This one seems to be popular with a lot of people. I'm pale wih gold tones; my family member is pale with pink tones, so this lipstick probably has a range of people that it would suit.

I bought this as a slightly more conservative alternative to my usual bright reds as I heard it was a nice sophisticated looking red. The colour is certainly nice and the texture is fine too. I wear it quite sparingly otherwise it looks a big vampy. I really wanted to love this as a lot of other people do,and I cant really find anything terrible to say about it - it's just... fine. I might buy it again as its very very cheap for occasional use, but I don't think its anything to rave about unfortunately

Super beautiful red. I'd describe this as...expensive looking. It has a very different feel than a bright red. It looks luxurious and is perfect for fall/winter. It is a dark blood red with slight brown undertones. I have pale skin with neutral undertones and I've had a problem finding a nice dark winter red, and the color of this is beautiful.
However...the formula. It is so slick. Not what I want from a dark color. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect dark red.

This lipstick is great. It's a deep red. It leaves the lips with a gorgeous stain after it wears off. An awesome color for fall. It is also an exact dupe (in my opinion) of Nars Fire Down Below, swatched on my hand next to each other, they looked about identical
Edit: I changed my rating on this one because, I sort of stopped wearing this because it's so slippery on my lips and just doesn't last. it bleeds and smears too much. Also the packaging is pretty bad, because the cap is always falling off. So it's not purse safe. Not going to buy again, instead I'll continue using NARS Fire Down Below, because it's the same color but with a matte finish that lasts all day. This one just wasn't worth the 7 or 8 bucks I paid for it

This is my first real red lippie and it is phenomenal. It is dark vampy red on the tube but applied and lightly dabbed on is a very wearable red for day. Revlon is my go to brand for DS lippies

After some research here on MUA, I finally tracked down this great lipstick, called Blackberry. It's a fantastic dark red, bordering on the vampy, yet evocative look of the Evil Queen on Once Upon a Time! This works really well with the pale faces like myself!

Moisturizing, creamy, it isn't a shimmer, nor a sheer! It lasted a good, 5-6 hours, fading away to a nice deep berry stain on the lips. Reds sometime turn pinky on me, but this doesn't. It stays true to the dark red. I matched a plum lip liner from Avon with it, to avoid any possible feathering.

I really don't have a dupe of this fantastic color in my small cache of lipsticks. So, if you are looking to expand your "reds", give this one a shot. It will be one that you will grab more often that you think! I just love this "old Hollywood" red! It's a great performer!

LOVE this lipstick. Deep, dark, vampy, gorgeous red. Creamy without looking wet or shimmery. I'm a red lipstick fiend and this is among my favorite shades. I use it with Avon lipliner in "deep plum".

i've been looking for this color ever since i heard it was a dupe for mac dubonnet... seeing as i don't own dubonnet, i can't claim it is, but it looks really similar to the swatches i've seen online! this lipstick is lovely. it's a nice brown-toned neutral red that looks great on me, my mother, and all of my sisters! we all have different skin tones, so i think that attests to how universally flattering this lipstick is. this is especially good if you have a warm undertone. as usual for revlon lipsticks, blackberry is super creamy and pigmented. it has a creme finish, so it's not completely matte, nor shiny. i've heard that this shade is discontinued, or going to be... not sure how completely true that is. i found this lipstick at target, after not having been able to find it at walgreens or walmart. so yeah. i love this lipstick! it's the perfect red for me.

I LOVE this color. The creme finish is beautiful, not over the top shiny and not matte either. It's moisturizing (I still use a balm beforehand) and the color can be use lightly or layered for a vampy look without it being too goth. It's definitely the kind of lipstick that will turn heads and probably can't really be used for everyday wear, even though I REALLY want to :) Definitely will re-purchase if I manage to use it up.
