I love original Rainbath, it smells wonderful and leaves my skin feeling soft & smelling delightful. My skin um, elsewhere is even more sensitive than my face, and this is the only bath gel I've tried that I can use in uh, intimate areas.

It also makes a fabulous bubble bath, with loads of persistent bubbles which prevent tub rings.

I buy it whenever I can afford it, preferably the massive 32oz bad boy!

I got this body wash yesterday and I really like it. The texture is really nice and nourishing, although I find the scent does take a little time to get used to, its hard to pick the fragrance, the back of the bottle says its a fresh mix of herbs and spices which is nice. It is refreshing and certainly wakes me up in the morning, plus it's great value as you only need one squirt to wash your whole body. I defintely recommend this if you are after a moisturising and nicely scented body wash whilst keeping within a budget.

I love Rainbath. It smells so fresh, sophisticated, light and classic. Nice lathering, easy rinsing and a scent that lingers both on the skin and in the shower. They also recommend it as a shave gel, though I suggest using very little. Love the scent and the texture. It's really the only one I ever want to finish all the way to the bottom of the bottle.

Random fact: Rainbath has popped up in a Toni Morrison novel - Tar Baby.

Im like obsessed with body washes I can really say I tried all of them, my bathroom cabinet is like a mini Wallmart! I must say that there is something about Neutrogena's Rainbath that just always makes me go back to it, so now I just keep the huge bottle that I purchased at Costco in my shower at all times. I love the refreshing scent and just the way it lathers up, I find myself reaching for it more often during the summer months, even though it's not as moisturizing as I would like it to be, but I have many other body washes to take care of that.

I have been using this product for my entire life. My mom used to use it on us as babies as it is extra gentle and moisturizing. Makes a nice shave gel in a pinch. The original scent isn't bad, but if you don't like it, try the Green Tea Pear. It's absolutely divine.

Smells like dishwashing liquid to me, and doesn't suds up enough for me. People seem to like this, though, so I think the scent is a personal preference. I'll finish the bottle, but I won't buy it again. This doesn't irritate my skin at all, though.

My first introduction to Rainbath was through my grandmother, who used to buy little travel bottles to stuff in Xmas stockings and Easter baskets. I used them without too much thought. It was the age of Vanilla Fields and it's congeners, so I wanted to smell like a walking cupcake rather than adult skin, musky and sun-warmed. Over the years, I've used a metric ton of different soaps and bath gels. I loved the herbal scents of CP soaps, but they were too drying. Some shower gels are nasty fruity or super sweet. Others are too moisturizing for my back, which retaliates by breaking out. So, after running out of my favorite Lush shower gel and not having the money to splash out and order more, I bought myself a bottle of good ol' Rainbath, just for nostalgia's sake. Two years later, it's one of the few things I use every single day without fail. One pump on a scrubby pouf cleans without overdrying or making my skin freak out. Plus, I can buy a huge bottle which lasts me seven months for the price of a Lush gel which lasted me maybe three. For me, it doesn't get any better than original Rainbath.

Love the 'retro', fresh smell of this body wash. I say retro because my family used Rain Bath for a short time in when I was growing up, waaay back in the early 80s. This smell makes me think of pine woods, warm clean skin and weirdly, Christmastime (though I think the latter is more associated with a memory of mine than with the actual scent). Takes me back to a time when bath products were not all strawberry-nightmare and cupcake-bomb. The scent is not overpowering and stays faintly on the skin for an hour or two afterwards. It's a great gender-neutral option - doesn't smell overly feminine nor masculine.

As far as soap itself goes, it's doesn't strike me as anything too special in regards to texture or moisturizing properties. Probably more or less the same as the cheapie $2 soap. But the smell is so unique and special to me, it's worth it. I buy the 32oz bottles, which have a nice heft to them, and one pump is all that's needed to get a nice rich lather. One bottle lasts me about 5-6 months!

For me to repurchase a product multiple times over many years means I REALLY like the product, and I can't even begin to count how many times I have repurchased Neutrogena Rainbath. It is a good, basic body wash that suds up nicely and rinses clean. It doesn't claim to moisturize or anything like that so I definitely need to use a moisturizer after, but that's a-okay with me. I love the slightly masculine smell of it and the pump bottle is very convenient.

Over hyped. Pretty expensive compared to even bath and body works. B & W on sales you can buy it for $5 bucks tops. The smell is a bit musky, woodsy, herbal if you like a more manly scent. Plus even the ingredients are very simple and drying , first ingredient water, second ingredient sodium laureth sulfate, the ingredient listing to me just seems cheaper than Suave, I think the main appeal has to be the scent to some people IMHO. There is not one single ingredient to me that would indicate to me as moisturizing and I just bought it because I had heard good things but it is not worth the money when there are more moisturizing, cheaper products out there.

This is my new favorite body wash! I personally love the smell... It is more masculine with a spicy, woody, light scent.
It leaves my skin super soft and the scent lingers for a short while. The packaging with the pump is awesome. It even works well for shaving and bubble baths.
I'll DEFINITELY buy this again!!

I have this in the original brown one and the pear & green tea bottle!! I buy the huge bottles at Costco and they last forever! It makes my skin feel so clean and refreshed without making it feel dry. I personally love the brown scent: it reminds me of cologne and the pear & green tea one kind of smells like dish washing soap to me but I love it hahaha. I also use these bath gels as a shaving gel as well. Love love love! I always repurchase after I'm done!

I just tried this from a sample bottle, and I really liked it! I love the smell, and how it lingers on my skin long after. It's like a clean fragrance, not sure what it reminds me of:-/ I love the amber color of this gel, and did I mention the great smell! And it can also be used for shaving, how cool is that? But Neutrogena has many great products, so it's not surprising:-)

All the great reviews and all the recent talk about oils brought this and the sesame body oil back to mind for me. I used these in my teens... now 25 years later I have fallen in love with this again... I bought the mega size at Sams and now using this everyday... Love the fresh clean smell and how it lingers on the skin and my skin is so soft! I imagine I will keep this around for a while again. Love it.

It smells like putting on your hiking boots and walking into the New Mexico mountains...all earthy and musky with a hint of pinion wood smoke and forest florals. Love love love it. But some don't. My sis thinks it smells like sulphurous hell. :)
They have it everywhere, so smell before spending.

I had seen a huge three pack of these, in different scents at Costco a few months ago and HAD to finally try it.
This is by far my most favorite shower gel/soap/everything I've ever tried. The scents are are a great balance between subtle and noticeable. I love how there are different kinds, with different, HEALTHY ingredients that do different things for your skin.
It left my skin very smooth, soft and more radiant than usual. It washes clean and it actually CLEANS instead of leaving residue.

It's gel like enough to dispense neatly and firmly enough to not leak through your hands. It spreads evenly and lathers up with enough product. It does take a few pumps to get enough in order to get a lather but generally, it remains gel like.

I really admire how balanced all of it is and how nothing in this product is overdone. The scent lingers while you wash but doesn't cling onto you when you're done. Some people may dislike this but I like it. Personally, I'm not a fan of soaps leaving scents behind on my skin. I want to be clean and fresh but not smell like a rose pedal, or anything.

Also, I'm very fair with very sensitive skin - especially on my legs. I used this to shave my legs and they DID NOT become irritated like they ALWAYS do. My legs felt smooth and clean afterward.
I want to note that obviously, this is not the primary function of the product but it could work for other people as a substitute for actual shaving gel. It's very much worth a try regardless.

I HIGHLY recommend to everyone.

Love, love, LOVE this product! The scent is nice for both women and men, it makes my skin feel thoroughly clean and rinses away cleanly (unlike some soaps that leave icky residue) and it foams up nicely. The pump dispenser is awesome and the cost of the large size (at Costco) is good. I use this when I'm in a hurry (I also use Dove White) and I'll continue to use this for as long as it's available.

I LOVE this shower gel. I used it all the time when I was little and now that I've found it again it makes me nostalgic. The best place to get this is at Costco's. I bought the huge bottle with the pump for like $13 on sale. And they also make a green tea and pear one, smells amazing! I bought them both. They lather up real well, smell amazing. The original one can definitely be used for men too. This can be a bit pricey if you buy this at Walmart or Target, but at Costco's its such a steal!
