This review is for the Silk-E body cream made by BathNation (formerly BBBB). It's a bit confusing to know which cream/lotion is which b/c they have been in the process of revamping the products. The names and formulations change. But that's a minor inconvenience. I receved excellent customer service in my experiences with BN. Meagan is friendly and helpful, gladly answering any and all questions. Shipping was quick & fairly priced. All items were well packed and sealed.BN describes this cream as, "thick, extremely moisturizing. Made with rich Soybean oil and Aloe Vera extract, along with Silk protein for intensive, lasting moisturization and nourishment for even the dryest skin types". I purchased Holiday Cookie scent.
As you might expect at a bargain price of $4.00/jar, the labels are plain and easily smudge. (Update: BN just announced they are improving the labels). The jar was nice; a shiny black plastic, low profile jar. Inside, this cream was a delightful surprise! The whipped, fluffy but rich texture goes on light and packs a whallop of moisture. My skin felt smooth after application and there was a slight sheen that looks great on legs! A really decadent treat.
Downsides? Well, I'm deducting one lippie b/c I would have preferred upgraded packaging. The picture showed a pump. I would have gladly paid extra for that option. Also, I should mention that at first, the scents were so light as to be barely detectable. But after about two weeks they seemed to bloom. If it weren't for the B+B board, I wouldn't have known that and might have swapped this away. However, I am now very pleased with this product. It has been my HG foot/knee/elbow rejuvenator all winter. I agree completely with BN's claim that "each jar of lotion will last and last and is a terrific bargain at such a low price". Summary: If you are a penny pincher, this cream is worth twice the price. But don't expect lavish packaging or you'll be disappointed. Watch for deals in their bargain section at www.bathnation.com and on eBay.

I got this in orange-chocolate and dark chocolate, and I was very unhappy with them. The texture is nice, but once you get past the initial sniff it starts to smell like burnt rubber. I tried to wash it off but the awful smell woudln't go away. And my order took two months. Meagan is very nice, but I will not order from them again.

This is only average for me. Although it's not greasy, it's not as moisturizing as many other body lotions/butters. In fact, the emulsion appears slightly unstable in mine. It does work and is inexpensive, but I much prefer others.

I recently got this in Marzipan, which is a basic almond scent. The texture seems a little different to me from the first time I ordered this a while back. I really enjoyed it the first time in Lemon Peach. It was strong and long lasting and the the texture was better. Anyways, I don't really care for this one. The scent is strong initially but fades in about 3 minutes. The texture is sticky and doesn't soak in very well.

Got this in Sexy Sake, along with a scrub and a perfume wand. At first, I wasn't too sure about the scent because it seemed kinda heavy. However, after putting it on my skin, I love it! It's very unique, with a nice mix of honey and fruit notes. The texture of the body whip is wonderful- it soaks right in and feels great! My husband ordered it for me for Christmas and he reported no problems whatsoever. If all of Meghan's stuff is this great, I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

It doesn't get any better than Brown Bag Bath & Beauty's Body Whip! I have this in two scents - Apricot and Cinnamon Buns. Both scents are very true and are fairly strong.

The texture of Body Whip is thick and rich, but not greasy. One problem I had with another e-tailer is that the ingredients in their body moisturizers would separate and become a runny mess. BBB&B's are not like that and stay blended...like they should! :)

Body Whip absorbs into the skin quickly and is not greasy at all. It leaves the skin moisturized and soft, not waxy or oily. The scent also lasts, and is a great complement to BBB&B's Toning Body Mist or Fragrance Wand. You also can't beat the low price! This product is a steal!

I received this in lavender sage and chamomile oakmoss. Both scents are beautiful and soothing, and the lavender and clary sage are both essential oil scents. The body whips have a wonderful texture, they are not heavy but feel very moisturizing and sink right in. The packaging is very attractive and tasteful and at $5.00 for 7 oz. you cannot beat the price, especially for this quality. I will definitely be ordering more from this company in the future!

Wonderful texture. I got this in Dark Chocolate, which is a nice scent, but not for me. Excellent quality lotion, however.

This is a thickish body butter with a whipped, fairly dry texture, that sinks in quickly and is pretty moisturizing, though not quite enough for my scaly winter skin (I need more grease!) I tried this in four scents: a blend of orange, tangerine and vanilla latte, which smelled like a spicey cookie with some orange and first, and dried down to a pure vanilla (I was looking for a true citrus, and this is not it, this is more foody); sandalwood, a pretty nice, long-lasting soft sandalwood, much like B&BW's but slightly less powdery, and without the rose note; green tea, which started out gorgeous and fresh but dried down funny; and lime, which was kinda 7-Up meets lemongrass, not a true scent at all. The last three were generous samples. Great packaging, good prices, but I was disappointed in the scents, and waited 10 days for my order even though I chose Priority shipping. None of the scents took my fancy enough to repurchase.

I bought this in Peppermint, and it makes a wonderful post-workout, post-shower body cream. It absorbs quickly but is still very rich and moisturizing. Love the texture--not greasy, and just very smooth and creamy. The peppermint I ordered was very fresh and not *too* menthol-ish. It smelled like starlite mints! I've tried a number of etailer products, and I have to say that BBBandB's packaging is the best (very simple and elegant), and her prices can't be beat!

Gingerbread Body Whip - This is a wonderful lotion, I just love the feel of it. So smooth and creamy and it makes my skin feel smooth too. And the smell, oh me oh my, it is absolutely wonderful. Smells good enough to eat. A perfect lotion for the fall season. I would buy it again :)

I am so impressed with the quality and prices of Brown Bag Bath and Beauty. I buy from MMU, LSOB, AZW, NE, CS, and SP. By far Meagan's creams are awesome in price and quality. You get 7oz of Body Whip for $5.00! You can even ask her to scent your cream strongly if you wish. I got Coconut (delish/yummy) and Lemon Peach (LOVE THIS!). The cream itself is smooth, thick, and dream to spread on your skin. It absorbs immediately. The only other e-tailer that compares to the texture quality is MMU. Very nice, I will definately be ordering more through Meagan. Oh and samples are free too. You just have to ask her and she will send them to you. You just pay for shipping..like $4.00. How's that for wonderful customer service?

I bought the body whip in Sugar Cookie. The consistency is very good, but the smell is not for me.
It wasn't what I expected of a sugar cookie. BUT, in the scent description on the site it does explain that there is a touch of spice in it, so I suppose I could've read that and avoided buying it.
Oh well! You win some, you lose some.
I'd probably buy this in another scent if I read some great reviews about one in particular or received a sample that I liked. I just don't think I would re-order unless I *knew* that the scent was good.

WOW! This cream is FANTASTIC!!! It's by far my favorite texture I've experienced with etailers (well, ok, it's as good as MMU and CS, anyway, but something about this is just luscious!). I got this in Coconut & Lime (which I think she's now made a part of her regular selection, yippee!), and I love it. I'm very picky about my C & L scents, and this is right up there with MMU's, though it's more,um....creamy? Let's put it this way, this is my fall/winter C & L scent, and MMU's is my spring/summer C & L. The packaging is my favorite of the bunch, customer service is fantastic, and the prices can't be beat!

I have this is Lemon and Peach and it's wonderful. The texture is light/medium. It soaks in very nicely and the scent I chose lingers very well. It's not a strong scent but I can still smell it hours later. I would order this again.

Absolutely adore this product in: Sweet Vanilla and Sand. Oakmoss is nice too - but was quite faintly scented, so I cant say I've had a "full" experience with this scent. I assume, however, it is a green and earthly scent, so true to what the name implies. Smells a bit like a damp riverbed, tendrils of plants squirreling their way through the damp soil. Oh to be a fairy, frollicking around a tree on a cool, foggy morning..breathing in Oakmoss! Ahhhhhh....
Sweet Vanilla is fantastic, but defies description. I dont like perfume-y scents, but sweet vanilla just verges on perfume-y. It is distinct and pretty. Clean. A lovely scent just before bed or right after a shower. Nice weekend scent.
Sand is a perplexing name for its namesake scent. To me, it smells nothing like sand, a beach, or anything that exists in a marine-type landscape. Very sweet and strong - floral. The first day I wore it, my husband brushed his face against my neck and said "MMMMmmmm. Flowers."
Overall the texture of body whips is smooth as yogurt and similar in consistency. I love it when a cream stays "cool" and my BB whips seem to always sustain a refreshingly cool temperature. Pleasant and reliable. Love 'em!

Brown Bag's whips come in classic brown jars...I love the simple organic packaging. These whips are lovely and luxuriously creamy, and they're supposedly lighter than their butters. Still, they might as well be butters if you look at the ingredients: mango butter, shea butter, coconut oil, Vitamin E, aloe vera gel...very moisturizing on my skin! It didn't take that long to absorb, though a little does go a long way because it's pretty rich stuff.

Scent-wise, Mango is juicy and yummy and gorgeous as I already knew from having a scrub in that scent, Papaya is the *exact* same scent as Cottage Shoppe's, and Dark Chocolate smells more like milk chocolate than dark. Brown Bag's scents do scent the skin rather subtly (instead of "smack in the face" like I usually like), but I think I could get used to that. Doesn't last a long time though...a couple of hours tops.

Overall, I'd definitely repurchase...perhaps asking Meagan to scent them more strongly next time. Oh, and her CS is excellent :)

Love this Shea Butter & Aloe cream in a stunning brown jar. This absorbed quickly and left my skin soft not sticky - great stuff! Now with waterproof labels that are great for sticky or wet hands! Meagan's prices are amazing and her web site is so easy to navigate with pictures of products to help with decisions.
