There're lots of colours to pick from. It's quite lasting, especially in humid Singapore and my rather oily eyelids. I don't use an eye shadow primer (I know I should) yet the colours still stay and they don't become patchy. However, I must say the colour intensity is not very strong. What looks really vibrant and intense in the palette doesn't translate when it's on the skin. Maybe a primer would have helped, I don't know. Nevertheless, I have a couple of colours from them.

Love the eyeshadows! It stays the whole day and even if i take a nap with it, it's still there!
Love the colors as some colors like MAC are too bold for me. The colors are just right and it can be used for work and also for evening dinners. The color on the palette does not seem nice, but once you put in on your eyes, it's just gorgeous!
My favourite eyeshadow of all time!

I was not fan of the Shu Uemura blush because it never gave me the glow everybody were talking about but instead of the glow I got dry fake matte finish. But these (powder) shadows are another story. Using the same standard eye shadow base routine that I always use with all my shadows, I still get color disappearing or creasing with shadows, I never use UDPP though because I dont like it. BUT These shadows are vibrant and they stay that way! I love MAC shadows too but they arent as long lasting as these. These are the best shadows I have ever used. I never thought one shadow is better than another I always thought thats just a hype, but seriously, this shadow is not a hype, not for me.

Shu Uemura products are not cheap, but they are of superb quality. The color range and texture are just wonderful. Will continue to buy.

These eyeshadows are true gems! While they would work great on any skin tone, I especially love them on my Asian skin tone. Even the browns and taupes stand out; they have a slight shimmer/sheen to them without being glittery, and really make my eyes pop. They go on smooth, and stay around, no doubt.
For colors I use daily or often, I splurged on these. Otherwise they're definitely too expensive for my budget.

LOVE these eyeshadows! I have M Yellow 300 and IR Blue 600 and they are both so finely milled and give quite nice pigmentation. Definitely worth it, the blue one is a HG :)

Great pigmentation and staying power. The product is nice, silky and smooth in application. Downside is they are expensive per shadow.

This is quite simply the highest quality pressed eye shadow in the world. I've been using Shu's eye shadows since 1990 (with ME Silver 945, now ME 850, quite religiously for that long). The colors and texture are both unparalleled. The lasting power is brilliant, and the powders are so highly pigmented that one eye shadow will last you a very, very long time. I understand how some people complain about the packaging, but I really think that with a collection like Shu's a woman needs at least 4 shades of these anyway, and when you have 4 you can just stick them in the mini compact palette (for $12). Ultimately it's more practical to carry 4 in one case than to haul individually encased Chanels and YSLs and Givenchys etc. It would never occur to me to ever stop buying these, no matter what.

A lovely swapper included one of these as an extra. I love it!! It feels so velvety and goes on smooth. Super blendable and highly pigmented!! I very rarely wear eyeshadow, but this is quite lovely on!! With that being said, only in a swap would I get this again. Would I recommend to all my fellow MUA peeps? Yes!! :O)~

Just started my mini collection on these, got pretty curious and got bored of MAC eyeshadows and was looking for new colors to collect. So far pigmentation is awesome, staying power is great and I'm inlove. <3
No complaints at all.

I bought this for my grad last year and I still wear it, and the color (IR green 500) is very pretty! It was kind of expensive for Eyeshadow, but it has last very well.
I *love* these Shadows!

I'm new to the Shu Uemura line, and only starting using the eyeshadows a few months ago, but I'm hooked on them big time! I bought several at Saks during my last trip to the U.S. and recently got one on ebay and love them all. I only have 4 ME shades but would love to eventually collect more. The cheap looking plastic packaging didn't make this line look appealing to me when I first saw it several years ago at a Saks counter but I should have listened to the famous saying. Don't judge a book by it's cover! These shadows apply like butter and are nicely pigmented. Truly top quality! At present there is no Shu counter in my city although I heard a rumour that one would be coming to Holt Renfrew in Toronto.

I really like Shu Uemura e/s, it's of good quality and stunning colors. The e/s I tried so far are highly pigmented and the effect is very pretty! also, it's very lasting!
but it's quite expensive, SIN$31 iirc.

I love this shadow. Pigment is great. I use it as a liner as well. It's one thing I'm willing to splurge on with my "new mommy" budget.
I always get compliments.

Their eyeshadows are very lasting and very safe for contact lens wearers. The colours are gorgeous too. They last the whole day. No eyeshadow base is needed!

I LOVE these eyeshadows. Normally, I'm fairly frugal about makeup, but to me these are worth it. They're super soft, very pigmented, and they last forever. The colors are gorgeous, both in pan on me. Packaging could be nicer, especially on the older ones. I do however like the packaging on the newer ones.
I would definitely not hesitate to buy more of these. They're so vibrant and beautiful.

I looove these eye shadows. My one and only complaint is that the packaging sucks. The new pacakaging sucks just as much, but putting them in the palettes helps quite a bit. All of the eyeshadows i've bought have broken in their plastic (but not the powders).
this aside, i will continue to buy and buy this product again. the consistency is amazing. the way these are milled, they are so easily blendable but there is still a great color pay-off. i find that they colors are very wearable, and more importantly, can be very flexible. i.e. a metallic grey works amazingly well with black and brown, etc.
the colors i have used, loyally are:
ME Silver 950/ now me brown 850: i will buy this over and over again. i wear it everyday.
P White 900: this is a basic white that is great for highlighting brown bones, inner corners.
Special Edition, Fall 2006 Filigree Pressed Powder ME Olive: it looks olive, yes, and goes on olive. but blended with colors, it can take on a much more neutral color. definitely a basic for me.
ME Gold 350: The one color i tried out and my MA let me return because I bought it when she wasn't there. I read about this from a blog about the "best ever color" and you know, it just didn't do it for me. it is a pretty burnt gold and goes on bronze. it just stood out too much on me, even when i thought i blended it. photo evidence tells me this is not such a great color for me.
i stand behind these shadows. i love them. if shu just sold eyeshadow, i would still buy just their eye shadow. their consistency (even on the colors that don't work on me) is amazing. they generally blend well, but certainly have a good ability to work with layering.

I bought 3 of these shadows in the Shu Uemura boutique in Lonon UK when I was visiting there and yes, these eyeshadows are a dream for any makeup addict. They pigmentation is so intense, they are comparable to MAC pigments. The cost in the UK was really high, so they were definitely a splurge, but I love the quality of these shadows. I bought 3 from the metallic line. Unfortunately you can't buy Shu in Switzerland where I live, otherwise I would probably only buy these eyeshadows. The only negative is the packacking, the little sqare containers are hard to open, I'm very careful to open on top of a surface so as not to fumble and drop it on the floor.

My mom's friend went to Japan and brought me back a Shu Uemura eyeshadow in IR Green 512. The colour is a soft kind of seafoam green with a light gentle shimmer. Not overpowering. The staying power is pretty good works well with my active life. If it smudges (from sweat or wear) it creates a really cool effect (smudges down to my bottom lash line) that I try to reenact for parties. (WHAT A BONUS!).The packaging is simple and chic I really like it. It also looks so fab lightly dabbed or mixed with clear lipgloss. If paired with a dark brown/ bronze eyeliner (Teddy by Mac) its a nice summer look.
