I didn't like this product. It did not cleanse well and left my skin feeling somewhat oily (this is probably due to the fact that i have oily skin to start off with).

Not a product that i would repurchase.

Before I say anything else, I'd like to point out that I don't wear a ton of make-up. After reading a bunch of the reviews here, it seems that the reason most do not like this product is because it doesn't remove any kind of MU what-so-ever. Which is a shame since on the back the product claims to do so. Overall, I'm really liking this cleanser. After trying the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and having that break me out (I know, right?), I decided to give this a try because winter is here and my skin is already dry enough.

Pros:
1) I like that it rinses clean off my skin. I don't get a feeling that there is a thick layer of residue hovering over my pores like other cream cleansers I've tried. *cough*Neutrogena*cough*

2) Been using it for about two weeks and no break-outs so far. I also attribute less redness on my face to using this as well. I usually don't break out from cleansers, but there have been a few that my skin just doesn't like...ironically, they were all pretty much FOR sensitive skin which I do have.

3) Texture. Anything that foams or lathers usually shouldn't be directed at dry skin folks like myself....that's what my Doc told me. So for that, I like the fact that it stays creamy and doesn't lather up. It feels good on my skin.

4) PRICE! I got this for $5 at my local drug emporium.

Cons:
1) The smell. It IS rather unpleasant and pretty perfumey which is partly why I almost didn't pick this up. I thought "Oh lord, it's going to irritate me..."...but thankfully, it doesn't. I can get used to the smell if that means nice, soft skin.

2) It DOES sting if you get it in and around your eyes. I did it accidentally the first time and learned my lesson. So now I just use my Dove Beauty Bar to get my mascara off...that's the only thing I wear anyway!

Overall, I'm going to continue to use this product as it seems to be working for me. If I have any issues with it later on down the road, I'll be sure to update.

Edit: Ahh I stopped using this because it started to irritate my skin after about a month of use with tiny bumps....so I changed my rating. The smell really started to get to me too!

I swiped this while visiting my mother, who wasn't using it, and I needed a face wash. If you expect this to remove makeup, don't. If you expect your face to feel clean after using it, don't. This didn't even remove my combo of tinted moisturizer and powder very well, so I'd say that this cleanser is a dud. also, it leaves your face feeling coated with a filmy layer, which I suppose is a feature that is good for dry skin. I suppose that it isn't fair for me to really be rating this as someone with oily skin when this stuff is labeled as suited for dry skin, but IMHO, a cleanser should at least remove *some* of your makeup. I quit using this as soon as I was able to get some of my regular cleanser (my favorite is Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Cleanser) again, and my skin couldn't be happier. It wasn't pleasant having to wash 3 times just to my face powder off. Not recommended unless you have dry skin and wear no makeup.

The only reason I purchased this Olay face cleanser was 1) I was out of my Origins face wash and couldn't make it to the mall for a few days and 2) it was ridiculously inexpensive (@ 2.50USD on sale) at my local CVS

Of course, I found that this product doesn't lather at all like the name 'Cream Cleanser' stamped on it, implies. I personally prefer lathering face washes as I feel as though I am really doing something to get the daily makeup, dirt, pollution and grime off my face! This was also a VERY fragrant, overwhelming creme. The smell is really off-putting and I hate to say it-but 'old-lady' like. That's how I could describe it, no flames....This cleanser did not remove my *very lightly applied* mineral foundation entirely, and I had to use a toner to get the rest off. After washing my face, I had that feeling of a layer of lotion on my face, too much for my combo skin, but the toner relieved this issue. Another note I should add is that if you get any of this cleanser around your eyes, or in them, you will feel the fires of a thousand hells in them---burning, and then more burning for a few minutes....ouch

I had to use this for 4 days, until I got my Origins face wash again and continue back to my routine. On a good note: I did not break out from this wash, but that was probably only because I used my toner along with it. The overall cleansing power (or lack of) and overwhelming fragrance on this Olay product didn't win me over. I should have just spent $2.50 on some gas to get over to the mall quicker.

Good for gentle cleansing on days you don't intend on wearing makeup, but ok to mediocre for anything else. I bought this because the acne cleanser I was using was really starting to dry my skin out. So I bought this cleanser to use every other wash to prevent flakies. Like I said, it's fine on days I go bare-faced, but this cleanser isn't very good at removing even the smallest trace of makeup. All I wore today was foundation mixed together with my sunscreen/moisturizer and it couldn't even remove that as I found when I used my witch hazel toner there was still foundation on my face. If you wear makeup you might as well pass on this cleanser.

Not a bad cleanser... it would be good for dry + sensitive skin. It just didn't give me the clean feeling I like - too moisturizing and filmy. I had a minor break out at the time - not irritating, just more moisture than my skin needed when combined with my regular serum + moisturizer.

I use this product only in the shower. I squirt some on a wet washcloth and gently exfoliate my face. This cleanser leaves my skin very soft and smooth and seems to "plump" it up. I don't like this for removing makeup, though, because it burns my eyes. It's perfect for a makeup-free face needing some gentle cleansing in the a.m. It does not break me out, either, with is a huge plus for me! I break out easily.

I agree this is creamy, but the word cleanser should not be on the product. After using it I have to wash my face with some else. It just doesnt do the job, alot of makeup reside left. I usually like Olay products but this falls very short. The actual price is not bad, but considering it doesnt work, its not worth the money.

This is a non-foaming cold cream type cleanser but it rinses clean. It doesn't remove makeup but that's ok for me as I don't wear any. It has a strong creamy smell that I found a bit annoying & it stings a little, specially if it gets in my eyes. After a while I stopped using it because I found it a bit drying. I can't remember how much I paid but I know it's very inexpensive & the tube is a decent size.

This has been my daily morning cleanser for at least two years now. Even though I have dry skin I still feel a little greasy in the morning, so I want just a mild facial cleanser and this fits the bill. The tube packaging makes it great to keep in the shower. I don't use it to remove makeup because it does feel more like lotion than a deep cleanser, as many reviewers have said. And the information on the tube warns you not to use it on your eyes -- it stings like H-E-Double Hockey Sticks. It's cheap, it's convenient and it's non-drying -- everything I need.

This feels like moisturizer, not a cleanser. It's really a little too thick. Also it did not rinse clean and that is a pet peeve of mine. I wanted this to work because of the price, but it did not.

I have a combination of oily & dry skin and this product worked well on me. It keeps my skin under control. When I feel too much oilyness coming on, I use this and the next day my skin's totally normal. It rinses clean fast and doesn't dry you out too much. The product comes out thin/light and creamy. Easily applies to face.

BUT - the downside is that if you get it in your eyes it burns. Even if you're just rinsing it off and the water's still running down your face and you open your eyes, it really hurts. So KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED when using it! I've been dumb too many times to not learn that.

I wouldn't recommend using it to remove makeup. Just as a daily cleanser.

Other than that, it's great. I've been using it for at least 7 months now and I think I'll continue using it. :]

I really, really like this product. I like the creamy texture and foaming washes sometimes can be too harsh on skin. I really like how it moisturizes my skin. I have normal/combination skin and this is simply great. I will repurchase.

Just brought my third tube!!! It's perfect for my dry skin. No tight feeling after using it. Remove the makeup thoroughly but leave skin soft and elastic. (I don't use heave makeup though.) Better than L'oreal Hydra Fresh and Cetaphil I ever used. Price is user-friendly, too.(Big Plus).

i am using strong topical face treatment (tazorac) and i find that cream cleansers are the best for my skin. this new cream cleanser works well for dry skin w/o irritating it. it soothes my skiin nicely, and i don't think it clogs pores. it takes of foundation well, (i use Sitla's IPF and Stephane Marais foundations) and does not dry out my skin. lightly fragranced, but it does not bother me.
for the price, i defintely would purchase again.
