This works on the occasional huge cystic, headless zit I sometimes get when it's that time of the month. I find that his helps "draw" the head out, if it makes any sense. It doesn't sting, then again I never apply this on broken skin, and doesn't irritate the surrounding area. Some zit treatment creams have a tendency to really dry out the surrounding area, leaving me with flaky, patchy skin but miraculously the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion doesn't do that to me.I've been using this for years and it works very well for the husband and I, we always keep a bottle of this in our skincare cabinet as its a good treatment for big, headless zits. Don't expect a miracle to happen though, it usually takes around three days for the zit to surface and another one-two for it to dry completely but it is all worth it as you won't be left with a scar if you do not pick the zit and let it dry "naturally" with the Drying Lotion. :)

This works for me, with the occasional little white head or tidy red bump zit that I get - it reduces size and redness and the tingle upon application feels very clean. It works overnight for me. I use this in conjunction with CeraVe lotion for my monthly big breakout and that keeps it under control. However, I doubt this would have been as effective on my teenage skin with its cystic acne. If I had tried it then I probably would have been very upset (my skin was so bad I used to cry). The only thing that worked for that (for me!) was hormone regulation and consuming less animal products, it was never an issue with topical application of products, although I'm sure my swathes of foundation and concealer didn't make my skin any better.

I don't know how I feel about this product. If a pimple arises, I reach for this by default and it tingles depending on the type of spot that I have.If there's a small pimple i.e. an under the skin bump, the drying lotion does nothing. If it's a larger spot, maybe red with a head or a white head, this is good. The spot doesn't disappear but the redness decreases and sometimes I'll be left without a white head.I wouldn't buy it again in a hurry, but I haven't found any other spot treatment...

A product that completely failed. I used a few times and had high hopes due to the sulfur in it, but no improvement. What finalky worked to. Clear up my acne is fragrance free products, clay masks, honey and cinnamon masks, no dairy or peanuts.

I love this product. It shrinks most of my whiteheads overnight. I barely have some hormonal acne but when I do, I took a few days to disappear, but it gets the job done. I was impressed at first because it was really strong acne treatment for someone who needs its acne to go away asap. I gave it a 3 lippie because I noticed when I applied it overnight, the pink residue that was left on my face were falling apart and it starts to get into my eyes. I got an eye irritation afterwards. My eyes starts producing a lot of mucus every morning (where at times it felt like both of my eyelids were glued together) and it was horrible :( I stopped using it ever since but I really do like this product and I still wears it at times but I'll wipe it off before I go to bed.

I like this product because it actually does get rid of whiteheads overnight, but just the small ones. For big whiteheads, it made it extra ripe to pop the next day, which is good if your staying home, but if your going out then you will just have an open zit oozing juice out (sorry). For red pimples, it helps a bit. I can tell it helps it die down after about 2-3 days of using it. I don't have cystic acne, but I don't think this product would help it go away fast. I'm not really a fan of the texture, since when it dries it turns flaky and just falls everywhere if you're moving around. The pink stuff might rub off your pillow if your a messy sleeper. Also, I wish the bottle was at least 1 cm taller because I'm at the very bottom of it and a standard q-tip just barely reaches! Not too sure if I'll be repurchasing though... still on the hunt for a good pimple cream.

I like this stuff, but I don't love it. I bought a set at Ulta of three different MB acne products and was excited to try them out because i have heard so many great things. I have VERY small pores, and when I get acne it is very rarely white heads and more so cystic acne that is very deep under my skin and almost impossible to get out. I have fairly good skin otherwise it's that time of the month so I feel very blessed for that, but when I do get a pimple it takes DAYS for it to be "ready" and I always try to get it too early which results in inflammation and a huge mountain on my face. I usually use "Zapzyt" which is incredible or Clean & Clear's "Persa Gel". They are great and always help but they have a very high concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide (10%) and it can really irritate my skin and make the areas I apply it very very red. My skin also gets immune to the Benzoyl Peroxide if I use it too much and then it doesn't really help or do anything. That's when this comes in! The bottle and application is quite messy and awkward but I like the idea that it's more natural? Idk. But it says DO NOT SHAKE on the bottle, which is very important and I've dropped it a couple times and almost had a heart attack lol. I have to use a Q-Tip to dip into the bottle and literally try to scrape the bottom of the product. That's what gets the good stuff out. I apply it directly to the pimple and this stuff BURNS, but that means it's working! I leave it on over night or at least for a couple hours. As it dries and as your face moves around this stuff literally hardens and starts to crack and flake off. Be careful if you're gonna be eating because it will/can flake off and fall into your food lol. This stuff is great for cystic acne and I use it in combination with my BP and it really helps my skin! It isn't the best I have ever tried but I do like it. I would give this 3 and a half lippies if I could! <3
