I only buy this cream as part of a set so it works out cheaper but I use it regularly, especially in spring/summer and I love it. I have oily/combination problematic skin and it does not aggravate it. It is very light yet luxurious with a sort of gel-cream texture. You don't need much and I just wish it had SPF but then I guess the texture would change so I pop two layers of primer with SPF over the top.

I have just bought my second 100ml pot of this.
It is expensive but my friend recommended it so I thought I'd give it a try. 50ml has lasted around 3 months so that's just over £20 a month which is not too bad when you think of it like that.
I have bought it again because I cannot deny my skin looks better. It's a lovely light non greasy cream that nourishes really well and plumps out fine lines. I would say it's best for combination to dry skin and for the first signs of aging. I think it gets rid of dehydration lines very effectively without being too heavy for sensitive and oily areas.
I find the longer I use this cream the less I need as the hydration effects last and last.
The only thing that bothers me is that this cream does not contain spf. I use my beloved olay spf30 in the morning over the top of this or on its own when I'm to be outside. I can get away with only using the marine cream once a day in the evening if necessary as it is so effective.
This cream works as well as any topical cream can in my opinion but you have to stick with it, the full benefits only become apparent after 8-12 weeks of use.

The texture of this cream is nice, its very silky and easy to spread over my face. I do find that it is very moisturising and plumping. However, I do find that the fragrance in this cream irritates my eyes and makes them watery. Also, as moisturising as the cream is, I do find it greasy and almost mask like on my skin (which is normal to combination) My makeup looks very dirty and blotchy over this also. Overall, I think if you have dry skin and are not sensitive to fragrance as much as I seem to be, this is a nice plumping moisturiser but try a sample first if you can!

I have dabbled with this moisturiser a few times now and I have stopped now, it always seems to work for a week my skin looks clear and plumper and as an eye cream I'd use all the time but to expensive just for that!. Then after the first week my skin becomes sensitive to it and I get hot red patches. I just had to admit defeat even though I love the texture and smell it's just not agreeing with my skin it certainly is the best eye cream though!.

I love this cream. It was really good moisturizer and kept my sensitive combo skin in really good condition over the winter. I think the best that I could have during the bad winter conditions. Really expensive, I bought it as a kit, so it was bearable. It lasted really really long. Good base for make up

This is a fab face cream and at long last I've found the One for me! I had combination skin, prone to breakout and also have dry patches, it was hard to find anything that works! Ever since I've used Elemis Marine cream it has just clamed everything. It is expensive so I tend to buy it in a kit and on special offer. In UK, both qvc and timetospa.com do good offers at time, so look out for them and give it a try. Highly recommended!

this cream did nothing to help my dry skin. It is a very average moisturizer. It does not absorb fast and leave a sheen on my face.

This cream is light, non-perfumey and does wonders for my oily skin. The cream does not sit on my face it is absorbed into my skin. I only use a dime size amount that goes a very long way. The cream is very luxurious.

Because L ´occitane precious cream broke me out,it was a risk to order online(4 piece set),but worth it.This is accually for oxynating night cream;marine also excellent.Did Not brake me out, toned down redness right away, skintone is more even than ever! Even my mother, who raraly comments anything said my skin looked great when she saw me without makeup;and it truly is not, usually dull, uneven, red nose:).I have no concerns with pimples, only when I have an allergic reaction(red pimples everywhere,Precious cream!).After a week I also started using EL advanced night s..complex?serum and my skin has Never been better. But the Price, cmon! :( Edit.used the night cream, now this at night, more hydrating&wake up with skin better than ever.Too expensive for continous use..UPDATE.Night cream was ok,didnt brake me out, more red but it was EL serum that did the trick.(check review)

Not a bad moisturiser but wayyyyyy too over-priced considering there are other products out there which deliver the same results for a fraction of the price.
In my opinion the elemis line is no big deal at all and i'm finding it hard to understand what makes this brand so unique to justify it's outrageous price.
I won't be repurchasing the elemis pro-collagen marine cream again for the very reason being it's price and i'm sure there are better products out there that cost alot less.
I will do a little more research before making the same mistake of purchasing something that isn't even a prestigious brand with a hefty price tag.

I think I really hate this product, I'm sure it's making my skin develop thread veins plus it's blocking my pores. The fragrance is unnecessary imo it's far too strong. I hate the packaging and at £70 it's far too expensive. I wished I'd got a sample before I bought it!

I love this cream. It's light, almost like a lotion, and yet it's really moisturizing. It has quite a strong, heady scent. I don't think it would suit everyone but I like it. I have been using it over a month now and during the time of year when my skin is prone to dryness and flakiness. I haven't had any problems with dryness and my skin feels really nice and hydrated after I apply it. Overall my skin has looked better since I started using it. My two gripes would be that 1) I would prefer the moisturizer in a tube than a jar for sanitary reasons and 2) It's crazy expensive. I found a 50ml jar for £55, which was the cheapest I could find. I used up the jar in just over a month, so that's a lot of money to spend per month. BUT I really do love this cream and I think it's the best one I've used yet so I will be searching the internet to get it as cheap as I can.

I love this! I am quite young to be using this I suppose but I've been using it for the past year or so as a preventative measure and it's been really good. It hasn't made my fine lines disappear, but overall my skin looks better, and it hasn't irritated my sensitive skin. I use this at night and maximum moisture during the day, and the combination works really well for me. Plus the smell and texture are quite luxurious - you can tell it's a quality product I think. It's super expensive but you can get hold of 15ml tubes quite cheaply to try it out. I would definitely recommend this.

I agree with some of the other comments. Whilst it's pleasant enough to use, it's no better than alot of other much less expensive creams.

I just finished a 15ml and found that the cream goes on very well and is very light and not shiney or greasy. A little goes a long way. I have very dry skin and my skin drinks this up. It does feel different from other facial moisterisers in the sense that it feels like a quality cream when applied and it effectively moisterises dry skin. However, I haven't used it long enough to see if it gets rid of the minor lines on my 26 year old face. Views are divided on whether it actually gets rid of lines but i'm waiting to find out and will update. I didn't mention the price so much because I shop on ebay where I picked up (15x5ml tubes totalling to) 75ml for £35. Buy on ebay only.

Whilst cystic acne is now mostly a distant memory thanks to accutane, I am still very suspicious of most moisturisers. Some can still bring me out, the most recent being the Liz Earle range. Others don't moisturise and others make my skin oily. However, I love this moisturiser. It very balancing - it moisturises my skin, without leaving it oily. It also smells great. It is expensive but having now reached the end of my second pot I have just purchased my third because it is perfect for me.

This is the most expensive moisturiser I have ever bought. The tub cost me £75 and despite I spent over £100 at the counter, the sales lady didn't give me any free samples. The cream has a nice consistency and abosrbs well, without feeling greasy, but it dosn't contain SPF, so I ended up using it as a night cream. It didn't break me out and my skin looked good and moisturised, but same result could be achieved with a cream at half or even third of its price. It's way too overpriced for what it delivers.

I was given a sample of this by a saleswoman at Nordstrom. I have been using the cream at night and it has a pleasant whipped texture, is not too greasy or "siliconey"-feeling, and absorbs readily. It has not caused any breakouts or milia. As far as what it does for my face, I would call it a nice, effective moisturizer for my normal/combination skin. BUT, I will not be buying this cream, because of its overbearing, sickly-sweet-floral scent. I can take fragrance in reasonable doses but this is ridiculous imo. Overall, I would say this is a nice cream, but does not seem to do anything miraculous for the price and the fragrance could really be an irritant for many.
