The liquid itself is a true black which doesn't smudge on my oily eyelids. However, this just doesn't work for me because I have hidden double eyelids and this takes too long to dry.I always blinked before it dries and end up with eyeliner on my upper eyelid. The brush is also too long and keeps touching my eyelash.I also can't control the brush well and get the thin line that I want.

got this as a birthday gift from my friend~ i was looking for something dramatic and 001 was exactly what i wanted... except the fact that i ended up wif tiny black specks of the eyeliner after a few hours.. boo =( but.. well. at least it's easy to remove, but definitely not waterproof even for a mist of rain!

if you don't cry hard (it lasts through any movies made from a nicolas sparks book, though i once had a ginormous breakdown...) and don't vigorously rub your eyes (which you shouldn't do anyways), this eyeliner stays on FOREVER. the color is a true black, unlike the more watery liquid liners (which therefore end up dark grey)....anna sui's eyeliner is my HG...!

This eyeliner never smudges nor runs. When washing it off, you don't even really need a makeup remover because it comes off so cleanly. The bottle is cute and the brush tip makes the eyeliner very easy to use. The little bottle lasts for a long time, and the only bad thing that happened was that the brush became a little frayed. No biggie.

i really liked to use this on days when i dun want to wear much makeup. As for the flaking part....it doesnt flake off that easily, but it comes off quickly when touches water....so its good for quick easy removal. smells good, and lasts a very very very long time (more than a year)

i love this product! i have been dying to find a brush that's really thin since i usually only line my lashline so the look of eyeliner isn't obvious at all. i use the dark brown one but the only thing that bugs me is that it has these shimmery things in it. i would love it more if it was just a solid colour but i think this product is great. i don't think you can notice it much if you don't put on thick eyeliner.

I got this in the red shade and must admit that I love it! I gave it 4 lippies because I don't like the brush really (I'm more into gel liners right now) but still, it applies perfectly and the best of all - the color is reayll intense and it doesn't take a lot to take it, I just gently rub it off. Although it gets off easily it doesn't smudge or anything. :)

I've been using Anna Sui liquid eye liner for almost 5 years off and on. It is a decent eye liner once you get used to it and the bottle lasts a very long time. I love the light fragrance in the formula. The applicator brush is annoying, it frays after a couple of month and u have to cut some of the bristles off so it doesn't fray. This product can be easily removed and peels right off when you use remover. The 001 isn't intensively black, but black enough. You can probably find a better liquid eyeliner, but this one does its job.

I totally Hate this product!!!.. Like the other reviewers said, it flakes. When i apply it on, it also gets on my lashes, its not like other liquid eyeliner, when it gets on my lash, my lashes sticks one another. Its more like a gel eyeliner. Also after a few hours, i can see some black dots on my face. The bottle dryes out after 3 months.
Totally waste of money. i wont buy it again!

Fine tip which lets you contour the thickness or thinness according to your likings. Washes off with just plain water but it's works well with my oily eyelids. Though it's quite a small "bottle", it goes a long way. And it has a nice smell too.

I used to use the Lancome liquid eyeliner. One day I slept over at a friend's house, and was on my way to a bbq without a pitt stop at home. So I went by the mall, and the store was sold out of the Lancome liner. I asked for suggestions, and they sent me to Anna Sui. I loved the price of $20 in comparison to the thirty something dollars for the Lancome. I also loved that the application tip was much thinner, as I like to add a little tail on my tiny asian eye folds. But what I hate is how the brush frays after a few months. Well.. I guess it lasts for about 3-4 months before it really frays, but still.
Also, it's a little runny (compared to the Lancome), so sometimes it seeps into my eyes. This can happen right after I applied, or just randomly throughout the day. It stings like crazy.
UPDATE: I'm currently loving Kat Von D's liquid eyeliner, only sold in Sephora though. That is unfortunate for this Canadian girl =(

it has a lovely rosy scent (like other anna sui products).
i can create a thin line with this. and it doesn't smudge.
its quite pricy though. :(

Grabbed two of these from the VS sale and want more! I have 002 (gunmetal, but flashes shimmery navy blue) and 005(matte chestnut brown, no shimmer). These liquid liners have replaced my gel eyeliners. The applicator is a very fine brush, and it's easy to control the application of this smooth product. (My BB gel eyeliners, on the other hand, were not always evenly pigmented, and sometimes went on thick.) These liners stay put all day and all night. (I use lumene e/s base.) When I use eye mu remover, the product does peel/flake off. Love this product and want every color.

This review is for the Anna Sui liquid eyeliner in 001 black. I bought this along with the pencil version and both are disappointing. I thought I'd try my luck with this liquid formulation but it flaked like crazy and smudged too! The brush is quite nice and fine tipped but the product tends to apply on a little heavy, it takes a lifetime to dry and when it does the colour is not particularly charming. Again lovely packaging and you recieve approximately 7g for about $20AUD, but there's no point when the product is just so awful.

Packaging is good. Scent is good. But it doesnt last long. It dries off easily and come off in flakes. have to reapply couple times a day! i would never buy it again.

I didn't like this at all. Got it as a gift and gave it a go. It flaked off when it dried and although I love the packaging and the fine brush it's just not a great liquid liner. There are far better ones out there.

i don't know about the other colors , i use only the black , but this eyeliner is great. i love that the tube and brush are small which makes it easier to apply and the quality seems much better than other pricier ones i've tried. definately a keeper.

I don't like this product. Compared to other liquid eyeliners, when applied it doesn't last that long. It kind of rolls off if you gently rub your eye, (something that my most liquid eyeliners don't do).

I bought this eyeliner on sale at a duty free shop in Korea. I was surprised, but the liner went on easily. Stayed on all day. It isn't a super intense color, but I don't want it that way. It highlights the eye in just the right way. I would buy it again and look forward to doing so in other colors.

I got this in 201. Which is purple. It looked really good when I tried it on the back of my hand at the Anna Sui counter and the brush is really thin so I reckon its worth buying since the thin brush makes it much easier to apply and I love the colour. I tried it on my lids once I got home and I was kind of dissapointed. The colour isn't quite as intense as it looks, and you'll need to put on a bit more than usual for the colour to show up, and it flakes. I made a slight mistake and I use a q-tip to gently wipe off the excess and it flaked and fell off. Not cool. And it turned into a very powder finish after a few hours, its not a pretty sight, it looked thick and flaky and very powdery, on top of that the colour fades a little. I will not buy this again. Even its got a huge colour range (yes its huge there are at least 2-3 shades for each colour, take mine for example there're 3 different shades of purple, I had a hard time figuring out which to buy). But the quality sux... Stay away from it, don't let the colours trick you.
