The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack used to be my HG skincare SOS for many years. Whenever my skin is starting to feel blotchy/uncomfortable from a late-night, I just put it on and I'm assured with a glowy and moisturized skin the next morning. However, it tends to be a little too oily for my oily skin even though I apply just a thin layer. I'm tired of waking up with oily (yet glowy and moisturized) skin.
Not very into the container packaging because I feel that it exposes too much of the product to air/germs when you open it. But it does come with a spatula, which is hygienic.
It's no longer my HG skincare SOS as Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is now my absolute favourite. MRC works much better for my oily skin than the Laneige water sleeping pack and it seems to work from within, rather than just on the very top surface.
Overall, it is still a great SOS skincare product and I'll keep it around...just in case.

The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is raved about for three reasons: it is good for all skin types, it hydrates and refreshes your skin (dewy), and it is packed with antioxidants to even out your skin tone.
I actually purchased this a couple of weeks ago to see if it does what it claims to do. The first night I tried this, I woke up with hydrated and bouncy skin. Nevertheless, it also brought out a couple of acne that were just under my skin. I heard this is what sleeping packs and masks usually do the first time you try it.
It's been three weeks now and I highly recommend this product. I used this several times last week, and it has really helped my skin, appearance wise and health wise. If you have trouble finding this product, try ebay, amazon, or sasa.

I LOVE this product. It's a great mask for lazy people like me because you apply it like a lotion and sleep with it on, so it's pretty low maintenance. It applies like a gel-cream, and feels so calming and soothing on my skin. It also absorbs pretty well, so you're not left with a sticky or slimy face while you're trying to sleep.
I was skeptical about this product because I have oily skin that's dehydrated, and I worried that it would be too hydrating and rich for my skin type. However, this product turned out to be the answer to my skin problems. It rehydrated my skin without making me more oily, and because my skin was perfectly hydrated overnight, it made me less oily during the daytime. Also, you wake up to refreshed, smooth skin... it's soft to the touch. I totally recommend this to people with my skin type: oily but dehydrated. It'll work wonders, all while you're sleeping. I will always repurchase this!!

Sleeping Mask?! I was curious too when I heard about it. Who wears a mask to bed? I thought it would be cumbersome but I actually really love this product. It's cooling to the touch and the texture is really soft and smooth. After doing your nighttime regime with washing your face, applying toner, cream, etc. I put on a thin layer of this before going to bed.
If you're worried about getting your pillow dirty, just sleep with a towel over the pillow. The product feels light and cool to the touch and it's very refreshing. The next morning your face will be sticky but once you wash it off and go through your morning routine, you'll notice that your skin is brighter and cleaner with a really nice complexion. I was really surprised at how this worked and I absolutely love it!
I've been looking into more of the Laneige products because they smell good, the packaging is great and the price is reasonable. I paid around $23USD for this and I thought that was fair for the amount you get and what it does to your skin.

first, i just hate this type of packaging, exposed to air, just sitting in a jar, dipping my fingers in. blech. i also didn't like the consistency at all, takes way too long to dry, extremely sticky on my face and just don't like the after effect once it dries either. didn't seem to help my skin at all. meh, waste of money for me, never finished the jar and sits around. do not recommend this stuff at all. try out the sulwhasoo overnight vitalizing mask. that stuff is awesome.

I actually ordered this on Amazon since it's not available in stores in America & I have the feeling it would cost more if I bought it in an actual store. My skin is normally oily even though it was actually kind of dried out when I ordered the mask. I saw it mentioned on a website and they said it was good for hydration but when I actually used it I noticed it was actually really good for breakouts too. It brings out the bad stuff that's under the surface so you can rid of breakouts faster. Like others mentioned, it's a bit sticky when you first put it on but I don't think it's that bad. When you wake up in the morning, your skin is soft and all the stickiness is gone. I do agree though that it should come out of a pump bottle, not a jar with a spatula included. You wouldn't have to worry about getting germs in what remains in the container. I'd love it if this was available in the States, preferably at an attainable price point.

The first time i used it, i fell in love with it. This is a HOLY GRAIL mask for me. Furthermore it is made to use during your sleep. there was a time where i worked 1 week straight and my skin became so dry and broke out as i was too tired and lazy to use my skincares after washing my face. So i was too lazy i skipped all my toners and moisturisers and straightaway use this mask alone and slept. The next day my skin was brought back to life. Haha! Awesome product!

Amazing product. A friend had taken advantage of a buy 2 at a lower price promotion at the duty free store, so I paid SGD$27 (about US$23?) for one. I put it on after my toner and night serum. At first it was a lot stickier than I imagined, and it took a while to dry (about 15 mins before I was really comfortable putting my head on my pillow) and even then it was a bit sticky. Didn't have a great sleep as I'm super sensitive about my sleep environment and the smallest changes upset my sleep, but when I woke up my skin was almost translucent, smooth and baby soft. For some reason my cheeks were pink too LOL. I have been suffering from millea seeds on my face since teenage years, but I felt that they were significantly reduced just from one night using this mask. I also have some redness around my nose area, which had lightened a lot after one use. I truly believe this cures redness and super hydrates your skin, giving it a lovely boost. Throws all the other masks I have ever used out of the water.

Pros: smells good, a little goes a long way, smooths skins after just 1 use, using it 1 a week is enough, calms rosacea
Cons: a little itch for the first few minutes
I first tried this when i got a sample but after just one use I had to get the full size.
I really wanna try the berry version too but I'm gonna wait to finish this jar first.
I recommend it to anybody that needs results over night!

I bought this in Korea so the price was reasonable.
Mad love this product! Whenever I have tiny pimples, breakout, spots on my face, I apply the sleeping mask before I sleep and everything will be gone! Tiny pimples will be gone, not the big and fat kind but big pimples do reduce in size after using this mask for a night.
LOVE IT, worth every single won!

This is a great, basic moisturizing sleeping mask. It's great over a good night cream for that extra boost of hydration. I actually use it in my beard (I'm a guy) over a skincare oil (like Kiehl's Midnight Recovery or pure Argan Oil) in the winter, as well.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal, Fair Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I wonder if I'm using this wrong because this product seems to do nothing for my skin. When I wash it off, it just feels like my normal skin. My face seems no more hydrated than if I had just went about with my normal routine. My other complaint is that although I let it dry before going to bed, it still feels sticky and I hate the feeling of my skin with this mask on against the pillow.

I bought this after fantastic comments on it from some Asian girls. Sometimes my skin is very oily and very dry.
When it was very dry and flacked (usually happens after facials), I tried this treatment, but it didnt make a diffirence at all.
When my skin was oily... this treatment just made it even more oily in the morning.
When I don't have major issues with my skin it's ok to use this product. I think it does hydrate but not so much that I would buy it again. Still can't substitude sheet masks.
I will continue using though.. maybe I will see better results...

Every time I used this product, it did hydrate my skin overnight but not noticeably. On nights when I don't use the mask, my skin is still hydrated the next morning anyway. Maybe I need to wait until its really cold and dry in the winter to see if it really makes a difference. Anyways, i love the way it smells, and it feels cool and refreshing on my skin. It does take some time to settle on the skin though, so when I apply it I have to be careful not to sleep on my face, lol or else it will get on the pillow. The packaging is really nice, like all Laneige products. The jar is heavy and glass, the only problem is that its not as sanitary because you have to dip your fingers in to get the product. It comes with a little plastic spoon but there is no place to store the spoon so it doesn't help much. A pump dispenser would be a lot better for this product. The pricing is super reasonable though, only $20 which is not expensive at all for the giant 80 mL jar.

LOVE this product. It is definitely worth the hype. I apply this to my face once or twice a week before bed and I wake up with smooth, supple and rehydrated skin. It has a nice scent to it (not really perfume-y but generally a pleasant scent) and has a gel consistency. I would prefer it it came with a pump or something because you have to use the spatula (that it comes with) to scoop it onto your fingers so I have to wash the spatula everytime I use it, please excuse my lazyness.
Anyway, yes I would definitely repurchase - I tried a sample from sasa and eventually purchased the full size and am currently making my way through it now. Hoping to try some more Laneige skincare products in the very near future!

I really really like this product a lot hence 5 stars for the overall rating! This is to be used 1-2 times a week. Before applying the sleeping pack mask, please please please apply the power essential skin refiner & balancing emulsion. This two products will help the sleeping pack to work to it's maximum efficiency. I usually wash my face with warm water the next morning. It really helps in hydrating my skin for the entire day. It makes me feel like I am glowing haha!
Bought it online instead as it is around 40% cheaper as compared to getting it over the counters at where I am living. Not only the huge price difference, it is shipped directly from korea & the product manufacturing date is less than a month away when I have received it.
The jar is really sturdy, it comes with a spatula, which I really like it, because this will prevent contamination of the product. I am looking forward to my next jar of laneige sleeping pack.

I'm sad that this one is discontinued. Well, it comes out in a new&better formula known as Firming Sleeping Pack. I bought this sleeping pack early this year, and I'm very happy that I purchased it. I bought this from H-Mart cosmetics store for only $20. I think it's WAY better than other high end, expensive American products. You use this once or twice a week. I pamper my skin every week. The day after putting it on, my skin is very smooth and awakened&bright. It never makes my skin dull. The texture is pretty diluted, nowhere near thick. My skin takes a little bit while to absorb it, maybe like 5 min. You can use it on top of other moisturizers you use, which is a really great thing since it doesn't make your skin feel stuffy. I would definitely buy the new formula!! I hear great things about this new formula and can't wait to try that~

I got a free samples jar when buying a skincare set in xmas when I was in Hong Kong, though for the full price, I would still repurchase it :]
I dont use this very often, maybe like once a week or so... usually when I'm on the busy/lazy day, didn't have time for an actual *sheet mask*. Then I would run to this for a quickie night time treatment. My skin isn't dry to begin with, so I won't say there was a HUGE difference when i wake up the next day. Though, my skin does seems more soft, moisturized and smooth.

I used this product on and off for some time. Since my face is super oily, someone told me that my skin might be dehydrated and something hydrating could eliminate the problem. So I bought this sleeping mask and applied it at night because my face gets SUPER oily at night. For the first few times, my face was quite refreshing after I woke up. I no longer have super greasy and oily face. But gradually, I don't think I see a difference. I didn't really control my oil. So I guess it might be a better product for people with dry skin?
