The product was features in the spring 2008 (or 2009?) makeup collection. I have a very high opinion of Chanel products, including perfumes, skincare, and makeup. So I was surprised of the low quality of this pencil. It doesn't write properly. Each use is a struggle.
This is a nice color, but I prefer something with more pigments, like the pencils MAC makes.

This is a sexy, smoky version of blue. I like the delicacy of the color, it's very wearable. There's enough blue to brighten my eyes but it has a beautiful faded quality that adds subtlety. It's very dimensional too due to the slight metallic sheen.
The pencil is more hard than my favorite Shu eyeliners, but it doesn't pull on my lids. The lasting power is excellent, especially if I wear it over eyeshadow (which I sometimes skip if I'm in a rush). I smudge this out occasionally and it looks gorgeous. My absolute favorite way to wear this is with Chanel's Cinnamon eyeshadow.

This is a lovely color--a not-too-obvious blue-grey with a bit of shimmer. It really brightens up my eyes without screaming "blue liner!" It's also versatile--goes great with any neutral, or you can get an easy slightly dressy look with just UDPP, this liner, and mascara. I find that it applies easily and wears all day if I set it with a tiny bit of translucent powder. Of course, it's ridiculously priced and the rubber "smudger" on the end is useless, but hey, that's Chanel. It's a winner for me, although I can understand that it wouldn't work for some.

It's a nice eyeliner - first and foremost, the shade. It's a gorgeous deep yet bright denim\indigo.
Also its quality is what you can expect from Chanel. Long-lasting - not as long as holy MAC PowerPoint but long enough, that coming from the person who lines her lower lid generously.
Also yay for Chanel putting out other shades rather than black-brown-pale brown-gray. Diversity is great and brings eye pencil lovers like me towards their store. :)

Blue jean is a medium/dark blue with some very subtle shimmer that I've never actually been able to detect after application. It stays on all day for me cause it's a pretty hard pencil. Which is a problem cause it's too hard to get on my waterline. It's a long pencil so the price tag is not such a big deal to me. This seems to compliment my blue/green eyes really well. I put that I would repurchase but my guess is that I'll find another blue pencil that does go on my waterline and probably won't. It is a great color and worth seeking out if you like Chanel pencils like I do. Although I much prefer the texture of the kohls and graphite is the world's most gorgeous color!

This is a lovely dark-but-not-too-dark blue colour. Really brings out the blue in my eyes I think. Its soft, but not too soft & goes on very nicely. Lasts all day, no smudges. The only thing I find disappointing is than none of the glitter seems to transfer on my eyes. When I tested it on the back of my hand there was lots so I don't know whats going on. Its not a big deal, still fabulous colour. I find this goes very nice with peachy blush & lipstick.

Love it, love it, love it! The perfect blue...even for blue eyes. It's got the little "something something" that Chanel colors have that nobody can duplicate. Smooth and easy to put on, even for the make-up impaired!

Ah Chanel! the classic, the best!
This colour is one of my favourites and is also proposed in the Chanel Spring 2008 makeup look (featuring blue/white/gray shades).
I love this liner. It stays all day, does not smudge; it is a brilliant, glittering, classy & lovely colour! It’s soooo modern but elegant worn alone or with eye shadow (I use to match the Blue Jean with a beige or a taupe eye shadow – sometimes with orange/brick tones for a more summer-like look… also very very elegant with pale pinks!!!).
Try it… you’ll not be disappointed. It’s one of my HG!

This is one of my all-time favorite liners now. When I first got it, I loved the shade but had a hard time getting a dark enough line, so I finally figured out that to soften it a bit I just need to pass the crayon part through a match flame quickly. And I mean QUICKLY because otherwise it's too soft and a mess. I love pairing this liner with champagney, nudish e/s and lots of mascara for a sophisticated yet 'wow' eye look.

Why do I keep testing these pencils? They have never stayed on me and they never will. No matter what color it is. This is the most gorgeous color eye kohl that I have ever used and I am surprised that the silver shimmer really shows up. It is gorgeous just for a while but within couple of hours I end out looking like a girl with cheap makeup on (and it most certainly is not!) Now I am forcing myself to write 100 times on the chartboard "Stay with the liguid liner, stay away from the eye pencils"

Like everything Chanel, this eyeliner is pricey but high quality. It is a beautiful midnight blue with silver shimmers. The shimmer shows up on my lids as a pretty but subtle look. It glides on smoothly and stays all day. Usually I stay away from another blue eyeliners and eyeshadows since I have blue eyes but this shade is flattering to my eyes. My coloring is NW15, PPP.

A bit disappointed when I used this eyeliner. I found this so difficult to draw the color on my eyelid. When comparing to my all-time-favorite Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil, this can only with 2 'lippies'.

One of my favorite eyeliners. A very dark navy blue with silver glitter. The glitter is really only noticeable upon smudging the liner so if you want a dramatic, glittery eye, smudge with sponge end of the liner. I never thought I would wear a blue liner but this is truly a wearable, gorgeous color.

A marvellous liner, beautiful sophisticated deep blue colour, soft and blendable. Well, I think I could buy some more (if there's any left!) because unfortunatelly it was only a limited edition (Fall 2003)!!!

This liner is one of those that works for me. At first, I was hesitant to buy anything blue, because I think a lot of times it can look outdated and cheap, but this is a very subtle dark blue with a faint metallic shimmer. I wear it under my lower lashes and the very black on the top; my dark blue eyes have received more than their share of compliments. It is a creamy pencil; not too hard, but a good and precise application. It comes with its own sharpener and is really a luxury product, but worth it. I find most Chanel pencils last quite a while. The line does not slip and slide on me, and I have somewhat oily lids, so am pleased with that.

For the price, not very impressed wtih this product. Firstly, where are the shimmers...I don't seem to be able to see them on my skin at all. Also, it slips within about 2 to 3 hours on a warm day on my lids and is not as soft a pencil as I would have hoped. I prefer Prestige pencils for their lasting, staying power and beautiful, striking shades.

Ya gotta flinch at the price, but once you're over it, you realize this is a hell of a pretty liner! Deeper than MAC Blooze, this dark blue really reads as a pretty color that's absolutely loaded with silver shimmer. It blends easily and lasts all day even on my oily lids. Now, that makes it worth a few extra dollars doesn't it? Yeah. Sure. Right!

This is a midnight blue with silver shimmers. The shimmers really show up unlike some dark liners with shimmers that you can't really see the shimmers when you draw it on. It's one of the prettiest colors that I own. This dark blue is neutral enough for my warm complexion, but also stands out to really make a statement on my eyes. Really good texture as well, it's smooth, goes on really evenly, easy to blend, and long-lasting.
