I like how this product has an spf of 30 but I don't like the fact that I can taste the sunscreen in it. It smells good and feels good when you first put it on but I just can't get over the taste. I also don't think it really moisturizes my lips that much..maybe even dries them out more.

It's nice, nothing really that special... It's a nice clear gloss and protects lips from sunburn. Looks nice. Smells nice. Tastes a little funky.
If I needed chapstick, I'd probably go for the ChapStick brand.

I like that the tube is contoured, but the balm inside is below average. I like the scent, but that's about it. It doesn't spread very well, and clumped up on the lips.

It has a nice, fruity vanilla scent and a sleek design, but beyond that, I can't think of anything I like about this product. The moisturizing qualities are limited but I could live with that if it weren't for the taste. Bleah. There are definitely chemical overtones and the fruity part completely disappears, so it's sort of a chem-vanilla flavor. I would rather use basic, waxy Chapstick than this.

My lips absorb all of Pro Care's moisture when I first put it on, but it doesn't last long. They soon become dry. The oval-shaped balm seems cute, but it ends up looking deformed. Right now the middle part is more hollow than the outside edge. The smell is fruity, but there's an underlying chemical scent; it's probably the sunscreen. I'm giving it 2 lippies b/c of the SPF 30 and b/c it doesn't leave me with a white residue unlike some other lip balms. I might repurchase.

Ok I got duped into buying this because it looked cute and had a high SPF content. At just under $4 CDN, I was ripped off. The balm itself is pretty ok - no complaints there and the shape of the tube doesn't bother me at all but the taste is disgusting! Don't get me wrong, I never lick my lips when I have a product on but you know sometimes it just kind of seeps into your mouth a little - well it's gross. I can't stand it. I definately won't repurchase. In fact, I'm throwing it out right after I post this review!

I like the oval shape and the smell and taste. However, this dries out my lips.

I LOVE this chapstick! I regularly ski, rockclimb, and backpack so not just any
balm will do. The specific chapstick I got has a fliptop which is attached so it's super easy to use with one hand and no chance of losing the top.
The texture is almost creamy and super moisturizing with a nice matte finish
so you don't have a greasy shine, the sunscreen is fabulous too.
I even wear this out with lipliner and it seems to plump my lips a bit.
The only caution; go easy on layering, a little goes a long way and too much
leaves a whitish tinge.

I just bought this about an hour ago, and already I am addicted to it. I've reapplied it about 8 times. Well, it smells fruity or citrusy, like pineapples or grapefruit. It's creamy and goes on clear, and kind of has a weird taste. It's shaped like an oval, which feels different when I'm applying, but not bad. It was about $3 at Shell's Trinkets, which is down the street from my apartment. I like this, but I don't think I will repurchase, even if it goes on sale. **EDIT** Mmmmm, I can't stop reaching for this and putting it on! It smells better then it did yesterday, like pineapples, soooo yummy! I also kinda sorta like that taste and the cute shape. It dries out my lips a bit, but I just ADORE how creamy this balm is!

I really liked this balm, the orval shape is cute and the smell is light but not too strong (like vanilla..I don't see how it smells liek coconuts liek the other reviewers have said =/)
SPF factor is great and it's not too heavy
Best lip balm I've used so far

THis product works, goes on well, doesn't make lips white. It smells like coconuts. Unfortunately, I can't stand the taste of it. It tastes like I'm eating sunscreen, not that I've ever eaten sunscreen but that's what I imagine it tastes like. I wouldn't repurchase because I need a lipbalm who's flavor I can tolerate.

Found this for $1 at walmart so I figured I'd give it a try, and I'm glad I did ... Its a nice creamy, longlasting, nongreasy formula that glides on smooth and smells/tastes faintly of something I can't quite put my finger on ... Maybe its white chocolate raspberry? Maybe its pineapple? No clue, but the best part about this balm is that its OVAL shaped.. I get such a kick out of applying this cute little tube to my lips :)~

This lip balm has a coconut/fruity scent, which is nice. I don't notice much of a taste which is good. THe tip is oval shaped which doesn't do much for me.
I too bought this for the SPF 30 content. It looks like a broad spectrum lip balm because it has avobenzone (3%) and octocrylene (1.9%) to stabilize the avobenzone. Other active ingredients include 2% dimethicone, 5% octisalate, 6% oxybenzone. EDITED: I threw away my old one because it expired. The new pro care that I purchased had a pineapple taste. I think it came from a fresher batch.

I bought this for the SPF content and nothing else. I'm pretty satisfied with this balm, but it's not HG. Until someone else makes an SPF 30 balm with better moisturizing ingredients, I'll switch, but for now I'll keep it. The packaging is oval instead of round, and I don't find that to be such a big deal. The smell is pineapple/coconut and v.strong. I could do without that smell. This layers well underneath l/s and doesn't turn my lips a shade of white. It moisturizes a little bit, but that doesn't last too long. I'd probably stay away from this during the winter months, opting for something creamier.

I love lip treatments it's one of the best things I can do for my face. I saw this in the store last week and thought all right this has it all. I just finished my tube of Aveda(which I liked). After a couple days of use I had to throw it in the trash. My lips were peeling shortly after I applied so I would apply more but it just made it worse. I complained to Blistex and they offered me an alternative product and I said no thank you. I went back to Burt's Bees. Within minutes my lips were feeling soft and healthy again.

aww... i wanted to love this product so badly! i have been looking for the best lip balm out there and have not been able to find it yet. :( this just didn't do it for me: the smell was good at first, but got old and too strong to wear all the time. it did not seem to heal my chapped lips at all and didn't even feel that great when i applied it when my lips were smooth.

While it's probably the best balm I've tried concerning SPF content, I probably would not repurchase it again for any reason other than that.
One thing is that it does dry out your lips fairly quickly unless you slather it on. This wouldn't bother me so much if there wasn't so much of a chance of getting long-lasting moisture from the balm at the cost of it starting to slightly sting your lips. The texture of the balm I do like; relatively firm.
The smell is not too bad. Kind of like a pleasant, fruity smelling green tea. But we all do have preferences in our scents. However, the taste is bitter if you randomly lick your lips while the balm is still applied.
Personally, I find the tube a bit awkward. It's probably because I'm used to circular tubes, but it's nothing that impressed me enough to look for other balms in similar shaped tubing.

I have already found my HG l/b so why I keep purchasing them is beyond me but I did and I am yet again disappointed. This is an okay lipbalm, nothing special at all. I'll finish it and probably keep it handy for the SPF but I doubt if I'll repurchase.

It feels very heavy on my lips, and dries out pretty quickly. I love the spf quality and the scent (a pineapply smell, scent lasts very long too) but the texture when applied leaves something to be desired.

I have not liked any of the Blistex products of late (Silk and Shine, Spa Effects, Complete Moisture, Fruit Smoothies, etc.). I was really wary of this, but my curiosity got the best of me. I read that other reviewers found this balm hard to apply. I think it's perfect. It is creamy-- not greasy at all. I hate any balm that is oily or greasy. This is nothing but creamy. It has tons of moisturizers and SPF 30, which is great. You would think that a balm with this high of an SPF would have a really bad texture, but I don't find this waxy at all. The taste is hard to explain. It tastes like cocoa and something else that is kind of fresh, like mint? Who knows. The oval shape doesn't bother me like I thought it would. I really like this balm. Finally, an HG balm for me. EDIT: Okay, this does have a rancid aftertaste that tastes kind of....fishy? Anyway, it is so bad that I am not reaching for it. Too bad!
