For a MAC lipglass, this is really unique. It's not sheer at all and if anything, it's really closer to a lipstick because it's so pigmented. I personally love it for the colour, vibrancy, and pigmentation. I'm a MAC NC25/30, MUFE F&B 32, and BB Sand and this is just a great colour for me.
The shade is much richer on the lips than in the tube. In the tube, it looks like a generic roseish colour with some shimmer. On my lips, it's a lucious berry shade with an infusion of gold shimmer. It's really pigmented so a little goes a long way. If I only put a little bit on, it's a great light berry pink shade that invokes the 'just out of the cold' pink.
The texture is just as tacky as the other MAC lipglasses... if anything, it lasts longer than most lipglasses cause of the pigmentation. I wouldn't say it stains the lip but it really stays on well after most lipglasses fade. The scent seems a little less vanilla than the normal ones but maybe it's my nose. I really love this one. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a gorgeous berry shade.

I know that this has been discontinued for a long time, but I RIS and have just started making myself sit down and write reviews :)
Anyway, I'm not much of a lipgloss person, but if they were all like Gaze, I would be! I'd say it's a darker, glossier version of MAC Sophisto l/s; at least on my lips. I love the richness of this l/g... it's a nice, deep berry on my lips, and it compliments my skintone perfectly.
I'm an NC30 with dark brown hair and eyes, and I think that this colour looks wonderful on me in the colder months (when my skin is paler, I guess). Love it.

I had in my collection for awhile, but afraid to use it because it looks darker than the l/g colors that i usually preferred.
When I first put it on, it's a very rich dark red with glitters, but afterawhile it fades to a light pink which I liked more than the original color.
I didn't realize it's dc, guess i'll really have to save this for special occasions.

I understand that this was LE and has been discontinued for a while but I was able to nab one off of ebay...the only one on ebay for that matter. I'm an asian gal with light-medium (more towards medium) skintone with somehwat rosy cheeks and slightly pink pigmented lips. I LOVE berry shades...looking at them that is because I was convinced I could never wear one so I was hoping Gaze would be different since MAC lipglasses have not failed me yet. I really like...and I am sure I will come to LOVE gaze once I get used to actually being able to wear a berry shade. On me, it's a cool-toned pinky berry shade, not too dark, not too light and I am convinced that the golden shimmer in the gloss is what makes it extremely wearable on me. This would be a great night time shade or a great day time shade with a natural or simple face. Too bad this was a LE shade, I guess I will just have to use it sparingly.

Got this from Ebay. When I got it I pulled out my Bliss Lipglass and thought "oh no it is so close to the same color" and my Milani Bronze Shimmer...crud! Then I applied all three and to my joy they were very diff. The bliss was very bronzy and sheer compared to Gaze and Gaze was much more pinky and shimmery compared to Miliani's more pigmented more berry Bronze shimmer. So I am quite pleased with this color and think it will be a very nice summer evening lippie.

Y'know, Gaze embodies much of my frustration with MAC lipglass. It's a yummy color- a rich berry infused with tons of gold shimmer, with some sort of ingenius neutral base color that keeps it from being screamingly pink. Yay. However, it's too friggin pigmented. It winds up on my teeth, it smears unevenly around my lipline no matter how careful I am, and generally is just WAY too heavily pigmented. There's a few paler lipglasses I can wear but mostly they're just too messy when they're fully pigmented, as all the richer colors are. With Gaze, I tried sheering it out as much as I could and then applying a good sheer gloss with gold shimmer. Great! That was perfection. There's a reason I like the lustreglasses best.

Gorgeous medium pink, looks great on my MMM skintone, can be layered for a deeper color. Will repurchase.

*cries* Why must everything I love be LE?!?! It's too bad that this shade is no longer available, b/c it is absolutely gorgeous! I'm a PPP and everytime I apply this gloss it instantly brightens my face. It's a gorgeous raspberry color with noticeable gold shimmer throughout. Hopefully MAC will bring it back... until then I will be conserving my lone tube.

This is so beautiful and wearable. The color is a medium berry with gold shimmer. The formula is sticky, but wears very well.
I'm ppp, red hair, blue eyes, very little pigment to lips.

Dagnab MAC for making this one LE. 95% of their LE things I just don't care about, but this lipglass is one of the top two from them, in my opinion (with Viva Glam V being my very favorite). On me, this is a very pigmented wearable medium-deep berry color with gold sparkle, one of my favorite types of lipgloss. I suspect it would look gorgeous sheered out with a thick clear or slightly sparkly gloss over the top. A thick application is really pretty too- quite wearable, surprisingly, and flattering with my light skin and dark hair. I like Pop Mode, but this beats it hands down- more wearable, and prettier.

I love this glass. It looks reddish purple from outside of the bottle, but it actually looks dark coral when put it on my lips. Kind of remind me of Lychee Luxe, but bit darker. I have a picture in my profile wearing this glass.

Great stuff! It's too bad this color is limited edition, because it is a fantastic lip gloss! The normal thick rich lipglass formula, plus sparkle, and a really pretty berry color that even works on my warm fair skin. I thought it would be too dark for me originally and when I put it on for the first time I was even a little discouraged, but it totally grew on me the next time. If you get the opportunity to pick this lipglass up in a swap, do it..you won't regret it.

This is a medium toned pink, slight shimmer, not sheer at all, lots of pigment. Very beautiful, I like to wear this without lipstick under.

Looks like I just ate a bunch of glittery raspberries! Of course its limited edition. Blah. I really do think they need this colour in the permanent collection, its flattering to a whole range of people, and it looks great on me (if I do say so myself) a nc20 redhead!

Finally... the perfect lipglass shade for me and OF COURSE it is a limited edition. I happened to try Gaze last time I was at MAC and bought it right away. It's a gorgeous light raspberry shade with gold flecks and looks beautiful worn full-on or sheered down. I'm a PPP with yellow undertones, but this looks great on me as a focal point without too much other makeup. I've worn it every day since I bought it. I'm going back to buy a few and keep them on reserve!

Gaze is a beautiful deep raspberry shade that would look gorgeous on some complexions. However, being a ppp, it's just a little too much for me, which makes me sad because it looks really pretty in the tube. It looks presentable sheered down but most of the time I just don't reach for it. It might be good for a party though.

This is a little cooler toned than I was expecting. I would say it is closer to plum, rather than a pure raspberry shade. The gold shimmer livens it up a bit. Very nice colour, but certainly not a special shade by any stretch of the imagination.

I LOVE this lipglass.. I'm a Chinese GGG (NC35)and was very luck to receive this in a swap (only used once)... this is a beautiful, vibrant rosy pink on me. I wore it today with a semi smoky eye from the 2003 MAC neutral eye palette and NAR sin blush (another fabulous swap). This has rekindled my passion for pretty pinks and roses.. arghhh - will my gloss collection EVER be done :-P
