I got a liter of the Raspberry Almond Conditioner at Big Lots for $5. My hair isn’t particularly dry/damaged, but I generally like really moisturizing conditioners & I just colored my hair so I thought this conditioner might be a good ‘preventative’ measure. My hair is naturally wavy/curly, and tends to get flat at the roots, and frizzy at the ends. I use this in conjunction with Back to Basics Apple Ginseng volumizing shampoo (also purchased at Big Lots).
This conditioner is white & thick, and smells just like the old BBW ‘Sun Ripened Raspberry’ stuff. The smell is nice and ‘inoffensive’. It lingers in my hair for a few hours. I apply about a quarter-sized amount (I have shoulder-length hair) to my soaking wet hair & leave it on for 3-5 minutes. This rinses easily. I don’t think it does a great job of detangling (none of the Back to Basics conditioners do, in my opinion) and I have to work at combing through my ends a bit, even though I comb the product through with a wide-tooth comb.
This does seem to leave my hair manageable and in good condition. Its shiny and soft, and does not seem to weigh my hair down (unlike the Back to Basics Coconut Mango conditioner, which I think is just too rich for my hair type, even though I looooove the scent).
$5 for a liter of salon product is a steal. I don’t even mind if my 10-year old uses it, since it was so cheap. I’d repurchase again if I’d ever had the need, but I’d suspect this is being discontinued/repackaged/reformulated.

I love this shampoo and of course it has been discontinued, as many products I wind up liking do !! Does anyone know if Graham Webb replaced this with anything similiar?

I purchased this shampoo and condition when it was on the clearance rack at my local ULTA. The scent is too yummy to pass up. However it is not as moisturizing as it claims to be. It's okay but for my highlighted hair it didn't offer much intense moisture.

This is an okay shampoo. So far I haven't seen any improvement on my dry, damaged hair but I wanted something less expensive than Joico's K-Pak... this is nowhere near as good but its not bad either. It has a great smell to it that lasts all day, but I find the shampoo hard to lather and the conditioner if I use more than a dime size...makes my hair greasy. I will use the rest of it up, but think I'll look for another shamp/cond after its gone.

A really great shampoo and conditioner duo. It makes my hair healthy and shiny without weighing it down. Smells great too.

I really love this shampoo and conditioner. I've been using it for YEARS!! even if i stray, I'll always come running back. I have slightly dry hair. These products work like a dream with the perfect balance of moisture. Adds more volume and body than any volumizng shampoo I've ever used. I've been using it for so long that my hair isn't responding like it used to. My hair doesn't hold the scent anymore (i must be used to the smell). I told my mom and sister about this shampoo and conditioner and they both use it all the time too.

This s the BEST smelling stuff. You almost want to just eat it. It does great on my hair as I have colored/dry hair. I love the way it makes my hair feel. The smell stays with you all day. I had a co worker hanging over the back of my chair looking at something on the computer with me and he just raved about how good my hair smelled.

I've tried this shampoo for about two weeks now, and i've discovered what works and what doesn't work for it. First off, its a great shampoo; it washes well, conditioner is thick enough and leaves my hair super soft in the shower already, and it does not make hair go limp or look flat after blowdrying. Those are most of the pros. The bad side is, as you can read on the label, it says "perfect balance of moisture and protein". Well, I totally agree that this shampoo has both of these two elements in there. However, one is overpowering than the other I found.
Just something I learned, when you start using a product with protein in it, and if your hair has been lacking protein or is too moisturized, the protein will balance out the hair and make it super soft and healthy right after using it the first time. The couple times though, if you keep using protein without clarifying, or bringing some moisture back in the hair, your hair over time will become dry, brittle, and hard from the ongoing use of protein because the protein restructures the hair shaft to a certain degree until too much of it causes the hair to become overdried. Thats when you know, you need to stop with the protein!
Now back to my review, this shampoo did my hair a great amount of good until I started using it everyday for two weeks. Now my originally soft, manageable hair has become a bit dry, especially at the ends, which doesn't normally happen to me, and so I figured out a correlation with the shampoo and protein. It says moisture and protein on the bottle, but I guess everyone's hair is different, so if you are overcompensating in either moisture or protein, this shampoo will cause it to weigh out more in one or the other elements. Okay, bottom line, I am going to continue using this, since it really does make my hair feel so healthy and repaired after a few uses, but no more every day use. I am rotating it around with a moisturizing shampoo, to keep my hair from over-protein.
Overall, great shampoo! My first time using back to basic product, and this product does what it says, just maybe does it a little too good!

This is my favorite shampoo & conditioner combo. Smells so good... I don't have trouble hair, but this makes it smooth and managable! Bottles can be a little tough towards the end, but flip it upside down, and youre good!

I have naturally curly and very dry hair, which has been unruly and hideous my entire life. The curls are so small they can wrap around a pencil and there is no way I can wear my hair down from the months of April to October - the humidity always wins. With this shampoo and conditioner my hair is actually moisturized more than it has ever been before, and I have tried everything under the sun. I would always have to add several different serums and leave in conditioners after washing just so that I could comb it. With the raspberry and almond shampoo and cond, I no longer need a leave in conditioner, I just towel dry and begin combing. This has saved me so much money in styling products! My hair shaft is also noticeably smoother and less frizzy. This is definately a desert island beauty product for me!! I alternate using raspberry almond with Back to Basics Bamboo line for straightening and also get great results with that one.

I'm not going to claim this is the very best shampoo and conditioner on the market, but its pretty damn good. I have dry, fine, curly hair, and I only use salon grade products. The B2B raspberry almond is quite moisturizing and I've noticed that it is regularly on sale in the beauty supply shops in the mall near me. It is a shampoo you can use everyday and it does not cause build up, does not OVER moisturize and definitely does not dry out my particular kind of hair. Will most definitely re-purchase!

I usually love Back to Basics, but this formula leaves my hair dry and frizzy. A cheap shampoo does a better job -- try Vanilla Plum; it's much better.

Not a bad shampoo, but I'm not sure it's worth paying full price as it's a bit drying. I bought mine really cheap at Big Lots.
Anyway, my biggest gripe with this is the scent! I thought raspberry almond sounded good, but it really smells like cough syrup! So gross! I only use it when I know nobody is going to getting close enough to my hair to smell it!

BTB is a very hit or miss line with me, but the Raspberry Almond shampoo is a total hit. Of course I have not tried it since they revamped the line with new packaging which might also have called for some reformulations. I seriously hate when lines mess with products that were great to begin with..but I digress...
I have not tried the conditioner but the shampoo itself works really great for my fine dry hair. And it smells soooooo wonderful. The scent lingers in my hair for most of the day. My hair has looked very healthy since I started using this and the Ginger conditioner.

I am not picky with shampoos, but I HATE this stuff. I bought it because of the wonderful scent at Big Lots never guessing it had been a salon product. It dried out my oily hair and that is hard to do! The cheap White Rain I used as a teen worked better than this junk.

I am obsessed with this product. i Love the shampoo because it's not drying at all. the conditioner works really well at repairing my hair and making it shiny. but my favorite thing ever is the smell. it is absolutely mesmerizing. it lingers all day and smells so yummy. sadly, they made a new line of raspberry almond in a new bottle and the smell is different!

This was my favorite shampoo and conditioner years ago...I don't know why I ever strayed! Maybe because I've been having a difficult time finding this? Luckily, I stumbled upon the conditioner at Big Lots! And, now I remember why I loved this so much - leave my hair so, so, so silky, shiny and I just LOVE the smell! I'm going back to stock up! I really can't be without this again!

To be fair, I have only used the conditioner. But about the conditioner, I say: Holy grail! And I don't throw that term around willy-nilly. My hair was a mess--SO dry, over-processed, and lifeless. This makes it soft, moisturized, full of body, and frizz free. The fragrance is delicious. And to add to its perfectness, I just bought it at Big Lots for $1.50 (12 oz size). I can't imagine what's not to like.

I used to use the rasp almond conditioner religiously for the past couple of years. The conditioner was not effective for the split ends I would accumulate, especially since I didn't use any styling tools, such as a blow dryer or curling iron. I also was not using any styling products at the time, so I can only attribute the dryness from use of this conditioner. My hair stylist informed me that the B2B line is not effective, and this is why most salons are not carrying the brand. I will not buy this product ever again.
