This reminds me so much of Shiseido White Lucent Day Cream which I hate. First of all, both of this creams make my skin PINK. Seriously noticeable pink. How am I supposed to go out looking like a pink pather. Secondly, both of this does nothing on my skin. No brightening or whitening effect..NADA! Both doesn't cause any breakout but pretty mediocre products considering how expensive these are.

Horrible micro-sparkles and weird peach-pink cast to skin. Felt like I was wearing a mask (and I normally use super rich so am used to heavy mositure). Product was so bad I tossed it in the trash along with the night bright (which smelled so bad I had to wash it off immediately). These have been the only 2 products in the Dermalogica line that I did not like.

I bought this product initially for the sole purpose of toning down a "too orange" foundation. It definitely does that trick beautifully (and smells lovely, too)! I had not tried this brand before, but an aesthetician at my salon "worked this" to cut the orange, and then showed me how to use it as a highlighter under eyes, under the brow, on dark spots and on cheekbones..it can also sub for an under makeup primer all over the face. This product is very similar to Laura Mercier Secret Brightener (in the lightest shade), but this one feels more hydrating and you get a lot more product for the $$. This is sheer and shimmery and really easy to blend in...it can go directly on dry skin, over moisturizer and primer and under foundation for a more subtle, but still radiant glow (less drying or cakey than powder highlighters). This is a great find from my salon (although the MUA category I found this in, sunscreen, doesn't really describe this product's versatility).

I must say that I was quite impressed with this product. I had a facial and decided to buy the skin brightening kit. Day bright gives my skin a much needed boost. I use slightly less than a dime size to cover my entire face. I have a dark skin tone so maybe the success of this product depends upon your skin tone. I do wish it cost less.

This is simply too pink and pearlescent; not nearly subtle enough and in no way natural looking (for reference, I have a NW20 skintone). Also the citrus scent, although pleasant, is a little strong. You can buy much cheaper versions of this, e.g. Boots Time Delay Repair Radiance Balm. A disapointment from Dermaologica, since I love most of their other products.

This is a nice daytime moisturizer with spf 15. It has a sheer pink finish not matte but it has the brightening effect. It actually gives my skin a boost like radiant looking when it's not. The scent to me is citrusy which I like. I do have very oily,acne-prone,sensitive skin. This makes me shiny in a few hours and it's not even warm weather. I'm currently using this for winter and will switch to something else when it gets warmer. Another plus, goes on light and absorbs right away. It doesn't break me out either. The downside is, it's pricey. I do have other products that have the same illuminating effect for a lesser price. Overall, it's good but not sure if I'll repurchase.

I was a bit wary of this, having read the other reviewson MUA, so started with a sample size. It really works on my fair, occasionally dingy nearly-40 (eek!) skin, giving it a healthy glow. I agree with the comments about the pink sparkliness - if you wore this on its own you would look as though you'd fallen in the glitter pot. But I wear it under Dermalogica tinted moisturiser, and it works beautifully.

I bought this because I was so impressed with the Daily Microfoliant and I saw that this was also part of the skin brightening range.

It sounded too good to be a true – a product that would illuminate my skin, help with pigmentation and a sunblock all in one. Unfortunately it was too good to be true.

I found it too sparkly red for my skin. I saw instant results on my pigmentation from the Daily Microfoliant but after two months I can’t see any additional benefit from Day Bright.

It smells lovely, the packaging is great and it is useful to have additional sun protection – although I’m not sure how much you need for sun protection. I don’t put much on because its too sparkly so I’m not sure if that’s enough to get the sun protection benefits. Maybe I expected too much but I'm quite disappointed with it. I think I’ll go back to the Solar Defense Booster and Chanel’s Base Lumiere (my favourite illuminating product).

Only just got a sample of this yesterday but i think i'm going to have to get it. I was worried about the sparkles but i love what it does to my face. I am a tanned NC30 and it makes my skin look really glowy. I can see why it wont work for you if you have pale pinky skin or wrinkles as it would highlight them the way frosty eye shadow does, but i just used a small amount under my moisturiser and my skin looked really nice.

Love this right after the daily microfoliant which is my absolute cant live without product!

Thank goodness for samples, eh?
As a big fan of the Daily Microfoliant I thought I'd like to try out the rest of the range, so when I placed my last order I asked for a sample of Day Bright. Words can not describe how hideous it looked on my skin. I admit my skins not the greatest....I am slightly wrinkly and at my age the pores are none too small either..but this cream made it look really silly. I totally agree with the poster below that the sparkly (bright) pink finish is a ridiculous idea. Not just that..but after about 5 minutes or so, my skin began to itch rather badly and I had to wash it off.
Not for me!

Tried a sample. Found it to be too thick and gave me a yellowish pearly hue. Would not repurchase.

I got a tube of this in with the Skin Brightening kit. I am reviewing this after just one use because I want to warn everyone about the pinkness:

WARNING: this product has microfine HOT PINK SPARKLES in it. Even the thinnest layer of this lotion makes my very pale yellow toned skin look clownish and unnaturally flushed. And disco-y. But it might look fine on someone who has very warm skin. (I'm trying to be generous here.)

This product is supposed to "brighten, illuminate, and protect the skin during the day" - and I don't see how any of these things can happen unless you use a fair amount of the product, which would result in having a pink metallic looking face.
The good news is, the pink metallic effect is easily covered up Mineral Makeup. But then, what's the point of the sparkles?

A very strange product. I think it might work great for someone out there, but not for me!

I like most of dermalogica's products, including this Day Bright SPF15. It's part of the dermalogica's brightening system. A very light sheer morning daycare, and does not stink like many other sunscreen. Only I wish it has a higher SPF.

I love this product! This is the only sunscreen I will use on my face. I think it kindof evens out my skintone. The shimmer is perfect. Flawless~

This is the best sunblock I've tried so far! It does have slight shimmer, but it doesn't make you look "shiny" like most sunblocks do. The scent is a light orange-y, almost creamsicle scent, and it goes away very quickly (I can't smell it on my face as I can w/some scented products). Super pricey but it is nice. :)

This product is great! I love the delicious, but not overpowering orange scent. The slight shimmer is quite attractive also. A great treatment that is supposed to brighten the skin over time. I have only been using it for a few weeks, but I think it will work. The spf 15 is a plus too - perfect for winter and skiing when I want my face to be sun-protected, without smelling like overwhelming coconut!!

A great sunscreen that actually over continued use will help to lighten up areas of hyperpigmentation and sun damage. (more dramtic results if used in conjunction with the skin brightening system) I have oily skin that breaks out very easily from most sunscreens but had absolutely no problems with this. It also has a slight shimmer to it and smells just like oranges. Only drawback is that it is a bit pricey, I think this was almost $50!!!
