I'm a fan of many Aveda hair products, but not of this lip glaze. Luckily, I got is as a freebie. It goes on with a sticky feeling and so thickly that it looks white. Ugh! I have to smudge off the excess with my finger. While it does stay on better than other glosses, the color is barely noticeable (though it's very shiny, if that's what you're looking for). All in all, I would not purchase with my own money. There are better, cheaper options.

I used my Aveda pure privilege points to try out the lip glaze in Mango Juice. I would never have bought it on my own due to its price.
I am very happy that I did. The color is nice and the glitter is not too overwhelming. It is not a super sticky gloss in my opinion and seems to last several hours on me till I have to reapply.
Aside from the price, this is a very good lip gloss.

I love the colour of this lip gloss. It sort of reminded me of Elizabeth Arden's "Amber" lipstick which I owned more than a decade ago, which I loved. The texture of this lip gloss isn't very sticky, which is good - the stickiness of some glosses are the reason why I am generally averse to lip glosses these days. If I wanted "gloss" I normally went for my rose-coloured and scented Vaseline, so I do quite like having discovered this one. It is moisturising, which is also a big plus for my naturally dry lips. Now the price. That is what I don't love about this product, and I do not like the wand applicator. I wish it came with a brush tip applicator instead! (a la Stila lip glazes...)

I'm in agreement with lovers of Mango Juice that it is such a great color - I wish it came in their regular lipstick. The taste is subtle and I like the shine. With that said, I'm not a gloss/glaze type of person as I need to reapply so often. For me, it's more for special events, etc.

This is my HG for lip gloss for the past five years. I love this color and it would go well with many skin types. Before I found this, I tried many glosses that were either to sticky, grainy, or dried out my lips and Aveda's mango juice does none of that. You do need to reapply after a while, but I'd rather do that than have my lips caked with sticky gloss. The only con is that the price has gone up but that hasn't driven me to find another HG gloss yet.

I bought this because I had a 10$ off for anything in Aveda. I think it's okay but I've know better for much much cheaper. This is amazingly pricey. I know it's so eco-friendly and natural and all, but still, it should be cheaper. Isn't nature free? The color is great in the tube, but on my lips, which are a bit pigmented, it made my lips look darker. And the wand makes it so hard to get the color out. The taste and the scent is okay, but the feel... the texture is grainy and strange. So overall, it's not the worst, but it's not the best either. I won't buy it again. It's not worth the price.

I just purchased this lip gloss today and am totally amazed at how smooth it feels. The gloss I had previously been wearing was incredibly sticky compared to the texture of this one. I love the color - light apricot with flecks of gold and honey. It seems as though it would be very versatile as it could be layered over many other colors. An excellent asset to any makeup drawer!

It is a lovely colour. Especially in summer. Get one of the SA's to try it on you in a store first, just in case. I think most will be happy though! I like that only a small amount comes out as you can have a subtle look, or add more for a juicier glossier look. Will definitely buy again!

This is a very moisturising lip gloss, but I find the colour is nothing to rave about - its a almost-nothing-there kind of golden colour. Overall, being a huge fan of aveda's natural makeup, I would buy again.

This is a great color, love the texture, and it wears longer if you pair with a lipliner, like the Aveda lipliner in Maple. Love it!
On a side note to the cholesterol comment - nearly every lip product contains cholesterol. Its not necessarily a bad thing, even cholesterol itself isn't always bad - there's good cholesterol too! Anyway, its used to make the product more emollient and as a thickener. Ingredient lists are confusing for all make up products, IMO. Hope that helps clear things up a wee bit.

I'll just add to the raves here. Mango Juice is a peachy-gold lip gloss with a slight mint flavor and a nice not-too-thick-or-thin texture. The color is shimmery without being frosty or whore-lippish (you know what I mean). I have light to medium fair skin with blue eyes and freckles. It gives me a little oomph without calling too much attention to itself. The lip gloss bottle itself is designed well, but I think the egg crate packaging is unnecessary.

I have owned at least three of these. I can't say how much I love this color!
Again, it makes it even better for me that I work in an Aveda salon so I get a discount, but would still use it even if it cost more!

Love this!! Mango juice is described perfectly by the reiewers below - It's like a shimmery bronzy-peach-copper, so beautiful! Aveda lip glazes have a bit of a minty smell. This is a very flattering lipgloss for my C3/NC30, Stila 30 watts skin :) Especially nice if i'm a bit tanned, or if i'm wearing some light bronzer. My only rant is that the wand does not pick up nearly enough gloss, i need to apply about 5 times to get it to the thickness i want. Still, i'd repurchase in a heartbeat - the colour is just gorgeous.

This is my first Aveda lip gloss and I am very pleased. Yes, the package isn't too flattering, but I don't mind too much. It's a really pretty coppery/peach color that looks nice alone or over lip tints. What I like to do is, when my lips are dry, to make sure there's no excess gloss on the wand whatsoever, and put it on without stretching my lips. It doesn't go on smoothly, as you may imagine, but I seem to get the most shimmer out that way. I especially like it over wild plum lip tint. It's not too cheap but very little goes a very long way.

I really like this lipgloss, it's a beautiful light caramel shade that is so fun to wear. The scent reminds me of tea, which is unique- I get so tired of the candy or floral scents that a lot of other l/gs have. Lasting power is average, but it's not nearly as sticky as cj or mac. I'd definitely recommend this line. For reference, I'm an MMM with pigmented lips.

I looked at this lip glaze in an Aveda store, and was dismayed to see cholesterol on the ingredients list. I've seen this in the ingredients for Kiehls lip balm too. Even if it has no medical impact, I still find the presence of cholesterol in the lip glaze to be a turn-off, and didn't end up buying it, even though I was excited about it because of all the great reviews.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this lip gloss. I usually wear MAC lipglass but not anymore. This glides on smoothly and doesn't feel sticky. It's a nice, nude shade with a touch of shimmer but not frosty. Very natural looking. Don't let the tube deceive you, the color looks beautiful on!

I hear that the one can swallow 1 pound of lead per year by applying your standard lipstick several times a day. Don't know if this is true, but I've heard it through several sources. Anyways, I wanted something that was more natural than that since my body was going to injest it anyways. I tried Pepino at first, but it was too bubble-gum colored on me, so I went with Mango Juice. I bought it on my lunch break and when I got back to work, my coworker said "That's a great t-shirt & jeans gloss". That's so true because it can be casual or it can be dressed up with liner and look good for a night out. The gray egg crate packaging, although environmentaly friendly, looks very cheap. $15 USD seemed a little high to me at first, but it's worth it for the natural ingredients.

I love the colors and the way they glide on with no stickiness. The only thing they could do is add some flavor! If it's called Mango Juice, it'd be nice for it to have a hint of mango flavor.
EDITED TO ADD: They've tweaked the fomulation a bit so now it really is a glaze rather than a light gloss that doesn't last quite as long as the original, but it's still a keeper.

I am not a gloss person but I love this gloss. My usual complaints with gloss are either too goopy or too frosty. This gives me a hint of a nice bronze color and shine. It is not too sticky. I will buy this again and I can't wait to try some other colors.
