Loving this AHA! I have dry, sensitive skin with what I think is mild rosacea. I cleanse nightly (sometimes skip a night if all of my daily products are water soluble and I feel particularly dry), exfoliate every other night, and moisturize twice a day. I have to alternate BHA and AHA every 2 nights to give my skin a break.

At first it slightly burned and I would wash it off after a minute or two. I noticed my skin texture was more even the next morning even with such a short time on the skin, so I continued this every three nights for two weeks. By that point it had stopped burning, so I left it on overnight and the results were drastic! I loved it and now use it every 4 nights.

This has significantly brightened and evened out my skin texture. I recently had to go without it for a month and my skin suffered so much! It was dull, splotchy, and had patches of dry/dead skin (physical exfoliation makes me break out unfortunately). It's taken about 2 weeks to see drastic improvements again.

The gel consistency feels nice and spreads easily, but the smell is meh. It is also quite drying on my already dry skin, so I have to moisturize heavily afterwards.

The price is kind of prohibitive, so I stack coupon codes and used a referral code for my first purchase to make it more affordable. (You can use my referral for $10 off your first order: http://goo.gl/GtjEk5 thank you!)

I know her AHAs are on the pricey side, but god is it worth the splurge! The bottle lasts you forever (mine's lasted me so long that I'm wondering if it's even still good or if I should toss it and buy a fresh one), and when I wake up the morning after applying this I swear my skin just looks more radiant and fresh in a way I can't describe. I apply this interchangeably with my BHA at night after I've cleanser but before I've moisturized, and the gel texture absorbs entirely by the time I've reached for my moisturizer. I just adore everything about this product, and I especially love knowing that it's doing wonders for my skin.

You can score this for $18 (which is an absolute STEAL considering how long this has lasted me) using this link: http://goo.gl/mlJdKK and, honestly, if you're just getting into PC products, her BHAs and AHAs are absolutely the way to go.

I've been using this every day for about 2 weeks now, and every time I put it on my face I feel a really nice tingling sensation that tells me it's working. I can actually feel every pore in my face reacting to this, in a good way. I was worried that the 8%AHA would make my skin red or leave it feeling tight, but my skin just feels prepped and ready for my moisturizer. I replaced my salicylic/retinol treatment with this gel and so far there have not been any breakouts. So far this is doing a good job of keeping my skin flake free and bright looking in the morning.

For me this was just meh. I did not get the exfoliation I was looking for. This was too mild for my aging sometimes acne prone skin. My skin is not too sensitive so for those who is, this might be great. I much prefer her CLEAR anti-redness exfoliating solution with 2% salicylic acid. That packs more of a punch and really does a great job of keeping my skin clear, exfoliated and reduces my post acne marks well and gives a great glow.

This is truly amazing! I use it twice a day, after cleansing and toning. It's a lightweight gel that absorbs easily. Then I apply my serum and moisturizer on top. I've seen a difference. In Calgary, it's quite dry and cold during the winter, I find my skin gets more patchy as it gets colder. Regular exfoliation doesn't do the trick. Once I start using this, my skin feels a lot smoother and looks better too!

This contains 8% glycolic acid which makes your Skin cells work! It exfoliates nicely and helps the Skin building new cells from deep inside! I only use it overnight because I don't like how the gel makes my Skin look right after applying, it makes my Skin look shiny and is sticky. BUUUT: It works! :)

After 2-3 years of sudden acne on my cheeks, I've finally found something that has helped clear things up. I went through tons of all natural, gentle products for my skin, and then prescriptions from my dermatologist. Nothing worked and my skin kept getting worse and worse. The most results I saw was when I really cut down on dairy, which helped to stop the cysts, but I still had clogged pores and small pimples.

About 4 or 5 months ago I discovered Paulas Choice. I first tried the acne line, but after months of trial and error, I realized the BHA's just don't work for me. They always made my skin really red and I kept breaking out. However the benzoyl peroxide worked awesome, which really surprised me because I always thought it didn't work on my skin. About 2 months ago I started using the AHA gel and thats when i started to see a difference. My pores are no longer clogged and I stopped waking up with more pimples! I still get small pimples sometimes, but they go away quickly and there aren't as many. The only thing I have left to deal with is the hyperpigmentation. Its taking a long time to go away. Anyways, I would definately buy this stuff again!

Omg I actually LOVE THIS STUFF!! I think I am becoming obsessed with Paula products.... I am sooo glad she is fragrance free.. I had an allergy test done and they told me I was allergic to fragrence and essential oils.. Which is shocking to me, but is one reason why I kept breaking out from so many products!!

Anyways, one particular face wash ended up giving me horrible acne, whiteheads everywhere.. was horrible. Unfortunately the doctor had to put me on accutane, I am on month 5... and I use this stuff --> Its that gentle. I am passed the stages of peeling skin on accutane, although I still have a month left.. This is gentle enough it doesn't burn me or aggravate me at all! All her products have been amazing in bringing my skin back to life.

Although my acne cleared up, I still have big pores on the top of my cheeks, and noticeable superficial scarring.. This products ( just from the sample) immediately helped clean out my pores, making them appear smaller.. and has made my scarring seem flatter! All from a weeks use of a tiny sample.. Needless to say I ordered the full size !!

I did write a negative overall review for Paula's Choice products because almost every moisturizer has silicones in them and many of the serums do. My skin cannot tolerate silicones, I get raised red bumps when I use anything with silicones. So I wish she offered more products that did not use sillicones in them. I also feel that her products have gotten more pricey and many of them don't offer much more value or effectiveness than department store products. That being said, I have used the 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant for a year and I like this product a lot. I notice a smoother and more even toned skin. My only issue is that it pills underneath my moisturizer. So for day time use it could be an issue for some. The instructions say to use it twice a day. I don't care if it pills at night cause who's going to see me anyway, LOL. But I wish I didn't have that issue with daytime use and that is the only reason why I gave it 4 lippies instead of five.
