Price:
I can't rate price fairly for various reasons (sale + not my usual thing to buy specifically "acne-prone" advertised face washes although I do have oily skin and blemishes), so 3/5.**
Packaging:
Average. Dispenses product well enough.
Overall:
I used to buy the now-discontinued (in North America anyway) Deep Clean Foaming Facial Cleanser. I kept using it for a while after it was discontinued in NA because I was able to stock up while visiting Thailand. Since running out of that stock, I have only found one acceptable (but not as good) alternative, and this product is NOT it. (Not the worst either, but not great by any means, for me at least.) Superficially, it looks, smells, and feels a lot like my HG cleanser, but in the end it does not *act* like it.
I want something relatively gentle as a cleanser, although I do need to control oil. So I have to strike that delicate balance between getting as much dirt as possible OFF and being as MILD as possible to my combination/sensitive face.
I tried this because it was on sale and seemed (still seems) from what I can tell as though it was Neutrogena's replacement for my HG facial cleanser. However, while washing with the FFC left my face soft and not in immediate, urgent need of hydration; with this stuff, I'm left instead with a rapidly-drying, often flaking face, and associated irritation.
I'm loath to waste products so I'm using it up while taking special care to keep my face moisturized. I use toner more than I used to now, because it helps even things out. (Nivea "pure & natural" purifying toner with argan oil and aloe is far less drying than this cleanser, so I use it to get rid of every last trace, lol.)
I give this product a 3 overall because I suppose it's doing that "rapid clear" as advertised via the typical peeling route (not advertised), but I wish all the other info on the side of it didn't describe it as though it was the cleanser I miss so much!

This product I bought because my friend recommended it and most of the reviews were good. HOWEVER I did NOT like this product. I have oily skin and used this with my clarisonic. The scent of the wash is nice.I do have oily skin. It didn't really dry out my face but it DEFINITLEY LEAVES A RESIDUE. It controls oily skin throughout the day because the wash leaves behind a film of beeswax on your face. I do not like the feel of beeswax on my face. After I washed with this it made my face itchy red and irritated and most of the irritation went away but my forehead felt uncomfortable the entire day and the little bumps I have still stayed a pinkish tone. It did help control my oil much more but seemed to irritate my skin. I wonder if my skin did not like the beeswax but online it says beeswax can.be positive for your skin. I am going to take this back. It did not do well and seemed to make my skin feel more sensitive when I normally don't have sensitive skin.

My skin is terrible when it comes to acne. I use to take oral antibiotics to take care of my terrible skin!
I have been using Rapid Clear for over a year now and have been seeing great results! As long as I keep a healthy diet along with it, drink plenty of water, and wash my face twice a day - my skin stay pimple free.
The only downside is that in the winter time, this cleanser dries out my skin a little cause it is a harsher acne cleanser. Would still recommend. Excellent results for the low price and smells great! Also works really well with my Clarisonic brush.

I recently bought this cleanser and i love it! This is the ONLY cleanser that has fully removed all that oil off of my face and controls my oily skin for hours! My face literally feels squeaky clean after using this! It also has a great smell too. My face does feel tight after using this as many people have written in their reviews but for some reason after a few minutes this "tight" feeling goes away. I highly recommend this cleanser if you have combination-oily skin that leans towards oily (like me) or just simple, plain oily skin.

I've repurchased this cleanser for the past 3 years! I will never stop using this.
-It completely gets rid of oil
-A little goes a long way
-Keeps my skin clear and free of blemishes!
- GETS RID OF MAKEUP COMPLETELY!!
Like other reviewers have said, the only downside is that it can make your face feel rubbery-like (which I don't mind), and if you use it more than twice a day it can dry out your skin.

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry patches on my chin and forehead. During the summer I am prone to oil and needed a quick fix. This stuff works wonders. I had REALLY oily skin before this and it has improved my skin ten fold. Instead of within an hour of putting on makeup and getting oily skin, I can go for about 4 hours before I have to use oil blotting wipes. I gave it four stars though because I had the way it makes my skin feel after I use it. It feels rubbery like. (ew). But overall its a good product and I would buy it again.
Note: If you have dry skin, DO NOT USE

This product is great but only if you have REALLY OILY SKIN. If your skin is combination or normal, don't even go near it. It will dry your skin out if you don't have really oily skin.
I've been struggling with an acne flare up on my cheeks for the past 6 months and this is the only product that has helped. I have only been using it for 3 weeks but the effect is massive and it clears up oil and make up extremely well. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with really oily skin and acne problems, as I have. Great product from Neutrogena.

This is the only cleanser that I have tried that really controls oil! After a few uses of it, I have noticed that my face doesn't get as greasy as before during the middle of the day. This cleanser controls oil without drying out too much of my skin, but for people with really dry skin might not like this.

This is fantastic for removing facial make-up. It foams really nicely and leaves my skin really smooth. Bought it for around 10 bucks at Shoppers Drugmart.
Yet, it doesn't go what it says. It doesn't control oil, and doesn't clear breakouts. In fact, I think it made me even more oily.
I'm almost finished the tube, but I won't buy again.

This product pretty much saved my skin in the past, but I would not advise using this product unless your skin is very oily. Always use it with a proper moisturiser and sunscreen.
Was a four, now a two, due to the *change in formula* being very harsh. I will not buy again.

In my experience, for my own skin, Neutrogena has always worked best. I use the clear acne facial bar to wash my makeup off at night [also works for getting hair dye off skin]. and I loved the invigorating foam cleanser- til I saw this new product. I saw it was for breakouts and had salyclic acid [which honestly, it only has 2%, the same amount as most facial cleansers] and since I had a huge cyst pimple in my chin at the time, i figured Id try it. Immediately after one use, my pores looked drastically smaller and my skin felt smoother and much cleaner. Ive been using it about a week and my only complaint- is it has made my skin SO itchy. I want to say its just that its drying out my usually combination skin, but my face is pretty much just as oily as it ever was. Mid day at work and my makeup looks pretty moist lol but yet, its so itchy I cant stop scratching my cheeks and nose. Ill still be using it, but I think maybe not as often- ive been using it once a day and perhaps thats just too much.

Argh! I just used this with my Clarisonic and it foamed up majorly and got in my eye. Seriously, OW! It's like I was stabbed right in the eye ball. I do not recommend using this with a Clarisonic unless you want red, bloodshot and swollen eyes.
Otherwise, it's an ok cleanser for drying out my skin. I don't need to use it very often as my skin is more on the dry side, but it's fine for every now and again when I'm feeling a little oily or having a breakout.

I usually use the original St. Ives Apricot scrub. It has 2% salicylic acid in it which helps my adult acne (without it I am covered in pimples asap). So I switched to this thinking it's a cleanser & helps control oil. It did not. It did not help with my acne. Basically when I stopped using the scrub & switched over to this, I broke out right away (switched back & it's gone-not surprising). Not only that but I'm still oily. This cleanser leaves my face feeling really tight and I hate that. I did not seen a single improvement in my skin. The only positive thing I can say about this is that it smells good (like oranges). I am returning this since it was $6.97 at Walmart and I hate paying more than a few dollars for an item that's going to sit in my drawer.

I. Love. This. Stuff. Though finally out of my teens and not having to deal with mass breakouts anymore, my skin would always feel oily and quite disgusting in the morning. Most cleansers I have tried in the past were either way too drying, or too moisturizing and left a "clean" but still oily-feeling face that sucks, especially when you put makeup on as well. This product combats all my issues. It leaves a clean feeling without my face being dry or flaky, and I have noticed my makeup now applies smoother and lasts longer, with or without moisturizer and with or without primer. I usually use this and then follow with clean+clear's dual action moisturizer. When I do get a pimple (usually due to my laziness and not taking the time to wash my face/remove makeup at night) a couple days of using this clears it right up. I am on my third bottle and will definitely repurchase when it runs out. The only suggestion I would offer would be the addition of an exfoliating ingredient. But that can be remedied with mixing in a little of my own exfoliant (Burt's Bees, my favourite as it's more coarse and works better for me). Love this stuff and will continue to use until they stop selling it!

Really didn't like this cleanser. I brought it along with the fight and fade spot gel during a bad acne outbreak thinking this would be my solution... I was wrong. It doesnt remove eye makeup and it left my face with this weird film over my skin and feeling even dirtier than it did before.

Well with this product you will either love it or hate it.
I loved it when I had a horrible time with my skin (acne) since it removed excess oil, but it really didn't do anything for me acne wise, I still use it but it just doesn't do anything for me thank god my skin is better but if I were you experiment with other products.
This would be a good product if you have problems with excess oil as well.

Nothing special about it. It irritated my eyes, so I stopped using it and switched back to fresh foaming cleanser which is more gentle. The packaging is awful, hard to squeeze

At first, I used this with my Clarisonic. When my face became oily again within 2 hours, I thought perhaps it just wasn't a Clarisonic-friendly product and began simply massaging it in with my fingers. Turns out, it just wasn't doing anything that normal cleansers already do. Plus, my skin still felt dirty no matter what method I used. I really hate washing my face and feeling as if there is a film left on it. It didn't matter if I had makeup on or not, I still felt nasty after using it. In fact, I used it twice in a row just to see if maybe I was doing something wrong, but my face still felt dirty after the second washing.
It is inexpensive, which is good, but it isn't even worth what I paid for it, at least, not to me. The hunt for my HG cleanser continues.

Good. (: Was a proactive user, decided it was time to try something different, and this is great.
