This conditioner is my HG hair product out of everything I use.
I have very coarse, color treated hair and whenever I try another conditioner, my hair just does not look or feel the same. I have been using this consistently for years and always have this in the shower. It leaves my hair moisturized but not greasy, soft and manageable and smooth.
Love it and always stock up when it goes on sale.

I have used this shampoo and conditioner on and off for the past few years and have never experienced any problem until recently. Did they change the formula or something? Anyways, I have a really full and thick hair, so much so that I always tell my hairdresser to give it layers so it will thin my hair out. However, during the past few months, I started to notice that my hair has fallen a lot more than usual and it has also gotten quite thin and feels a lot lighter. My scalp would get very very itchy and get lots of dandruff, and I couldn't figure out why. Then I started researching about Pantene and found a lot of similar cases, therefore I decided to try and move on to another shampoo and conditioner and all those problem stopped immediately after the switch. Will never go back to using Pantene.

To be fair I haven't used it, just wanted to comment on AlisonJane's comment. I know, right?? I have always washed my hair and showered daily (hello, basic hygiene anyone?) and cannot understand how in the magazines etc. you always see people saying not to wash your hair every day. WTF??? And as an aside, a hairstylist once told me that during her training, they looked at hair under a microscope that had used Pantene products, and there was MOLD at the root!! MOLD?!??? Sheesh, if that's not enough to put a person off Pantene, what is????? Fail!! Much fail!!!

One word - crap.

Just a query -
How on earth can people go 3,4 or 5 days without washing their hair? It's disgusting! I like to have nice, clean, fresh hair so wash it every day.

My hair is very smooth afterwards so I would use it sometimes. But I find it hard to wash out and I suspect that the reason it's so smooth is because of what's left behind in my hair. It's not 'cleaning', more...covering.

I was hoping to find something for my dry, frizzy, course, thick and fluffy hair. I went on a frantic search online looking at what other people use and the name Pantene appeared over and over again. I seldom stray from salon products but I was out of conditioner and felt like trying something new till the salon opens again. Anyways what people seemed to say about Pantene sounded quite promising, I went with it and bought it for a good cheap price compared to the usual products I buy.

The smell is very nice and when I washed it out in the shower I felt like I made the best purchase of my life cause my hair felt smoother and much thinner which is a plus for me cause I have thick hair despite it being thinned out and layered. Sadly after 2 hours of letting my hair air dry as usual I got a complete shock when passing the mirror. My hair looked well, disgusting. For starters, there was frizz everywhere even in places it usually never frizzes like on the crown of my head. I NEVER get anything there and suddenly there was chunks of flyaway fluff. My hair also look dirty (despite using little product), my hair felt and looked dry and overall my hair POOFED like there's no tomorrow. My hair is fluff and poof prone but no other product has ever actually helped it like this stupid product. Usually conditioners are supposed to HELP cure the problem, not make it worse.

I only wash my hair every 5 days but this product basically forced me to wash it after 3 days cause my hair got so oily. Straightening was slightly easier and I found my hair did go a little straighter than usual but there was still frizz everywhere even AFTER straightening my hair with my usual method that always gave me beautiful hair.

I used this product 2 times more to just check and give it another chance for the sake of it but nothing changed. My hair just kept getting drier and poofier by the day. I chucked this in the bin. HORRIBLE.

Pantene is one of the few drugstore conditioners that does a good job of smoothing and de-tangling my color-treated hair.

I stopped buying it when they changed the scent. I just don't like any of the scents in their expanded line.

Also note the Pantene they sell at Sam's Club has thinner consistency coming out of the bottle and it didn't smooth and de-tangle my hair as well as thicker version you get at Target.

This is the worst conditioner I have ever used. I used it with the shampoo and rather than leaving my hair feeling smooth and sleek, my hair was left a greasy mess. At first I thought it was because I was not washing the product out of my hair well enough, but after continuous washes this was obviously not the case. When I went to blow-dry my hair after showering, my hair was very greasy on the crown of my head, as well as on the bottom layer of my hair. It looked like I had not washed my hair in a long long time. Of course, perhaps my hair and Pantene are just not compatible, but after looking around online it seems that I am not the only one that this has happened to.

This has been my staple for years. My hair is fine with natural waves. When I was on another conditioner (this one was out of stock) one of my student's aunts asked the child "why doesn't ur choir teacher comb her hair?" lol …out of d mouth of babes…they repeat everything.

My DH and I laughed n laughed on our way to d drugstore to pick up this conditioner again. I can comb my wet hair very easily n it smells great! It's my HG

When I can't afford the expensive stuff, Pantene always does a good job keeping my hair looking great! For the price, it's hard to beat :)

I used this when my hair was at it's worst. When I was 12/13, I was so desperate to have smooth straight hair, since mine so so dry and just frizzy.

This literally did NOTHING. It's useless. I even remember on the commercials they kept lowering down the percent of smoothness this would "give" you.

biggest disappointment and such a waste of money.

This conditioner is supposed to give you sleek hair... LOOOL. I sitll wonder why do I always for that... Seriously?! Loool

I used this along with the shampoo and and I noticed no difference in my hair at all (my hair's wavy but easy to straighten). Not only these two don't make hair straighter or smother it also leaves hair feeling dirty and straw like.

My hair is slightly curly and thick, but I did not find this conditioned my hair enough and did not leave it sleek really. It is a thick conditioner which is good, but there are better products out there in this price range.

Again, this review is referring to every existing type of Pantene conditioner, not just the smooth and sleek one. I love it as much as the shampoo. I consider them a match made in heaven. The conditioner is a thin white cream with an impeccable smell, that makes my hair smooth and soft like no other. It looks and feels silky after I've used this. I focus mainly on the ends rather than the roots (aka from the ear downwards), and it just detangles my hair without the additional need of a comb or brush. Half the year I let it airdry without even combing it, I literally just remove the towel before I go out the door, and within five minutes my hair is wonderfully flowy and sleek - so much so, that people always seem to want to touch it. The ultimate bonus is that in my ten years of using this, I've never had dry or split ends. I can't tell for sure whether it's thanks to this product or not, because I'm unbelievably ignorant when it comes to hair, but I suppose it must deserve the credit, since I always hear people complain about all that stuff, whereas I haven't had similar problems so far. I've even had professional hairdressers comment on my potent conditioner just by going through my hair, without them even knowing which one I've used. If that doesn't say something about this product, I don't know what does! Will keep repurchasing!

Looking down on the previous comments, I'm wondering how this is getting so many bad reviews. Maybe, it's because I'm mixed race and I need a heavy conditioner for my part afro hair, but for others it weighs down their hair. Seriously, this is a godsend. I used it on my hair and when I washed it off I don't think my hairs ever been that smooth and shiny, not even when I used afro products. When I straightened it, it made it look magnificent, people commented that it made it look relaxed. I'd maybe reccomend it to people with curlier, frizzier, more afro hair type, and I will definitely be buying again, however my local store has run out of it :(

it made my hair sleek with very cheap price! beware to untouch the scalp with it, even with only a little amount my scalp would feel flaky. I thought my scalp allergic to any of pantene products...

Pretty much the only conditioner that allows me to get my wide-tooth comb through my long fine dry hair after washing it, without ripping half of it out in the process. Been buying it for as long as I can recall as I have not found another reasonably priced conditioner that does near the same job. Hate the packaging, many years ago when this was a pharmacy only line (here in Australia), the packaging was so pretty then (and I think it smelt nicer too), now it's just so blah. Although, the newer 750ml pumps are functional for using in the shower.
