The best and only thing I use for ingrown hairs (and I get them all over my body). Sure, its a bit drying but thats what helps it work. I'm on my third bottle of this stuff and can't live without it. I use it on my bikini line, underarms, legs (I get ingrown the tops and backs of my thighs pretty bad) and it helps to smooth and eliminate bumps everywhere. I don't love the price but I'm willing to pay because it WORKS.

This will help to get rid of your already ingrown hairs, but its also wonderful as a preventative measure too. After shaving/waxing/epilating, swipe some of this one every day for 2-3 days and you won't get any ingrowns. It helps to keep the area clean and the pores free of clogs. WARNING though: This stuff will, and does sting pretty badly if you use it after you epilate and wax. With shaving, its fine because you aren't ripping the hair out and introducing the product directly into the pore. For the love of all that is holy, do not apply this to your underarms right after epilating, or you'll crumple into a ball on the tile, wincing in pain for 30 seconds until the throbbing subsides.

See? All that and its STILL my HG. Ain't nothing better.

Great product. Dries my skin out and gives it the peelies if I over use, but this stuff does what it claims. Love it for razor burn, shave bumps, ingrown hairs and pesky pimples from shaving. Love. Bought the roll on and refill.

This is kind of a TMI-review, just to warn you :)))
I've had this nightmare the last 5 years with razor bumps and ingrown hairs "down there" - and i've tried everything: shaving, waxing, epilating, tweezing, exfoliating, using special soap, skin tonic, etc. Nothing worked.
Then I saw this product here on MUA, and bought it on beautybay.com (it's cheaper there than most places I found out)
I've used it for almost a month now and I see huge difference already.
I've still got some scars from the past years (which hopefully will disappear when time passes), but I don't get any new nasty razor bumps - yay :D
I do get a little bit of ingrown hairs, but then I just use the product more on the ingrown hair, and then I can just pull it out with a tweezer and everything is "back to normal".
I use it morning after bath or epilating (I epilate the bikiniline without problems now), and right before going to sleep at night - I just put some on a cotton ball and put it on like skintonic on the face.
I don't think the smell is as bad as others say - not compared to the effect!!
And after almost a month, I've used 1/3 of it, and definitely going to repurchase :)

I was given 2 samples from my wax salon as I had just gotten a brazillian and they said that this would prevent ingrown hairs and was a good chemical exfoliator.

I have been using it everyday since I got it for the past 2 months. I do notice a difference between using this and not using anything.

I use it after I get out of the shower. I wet a cotton pad and wipe the parts that I got waxed. I do this once a day.

If you use it right after shaving/waxing/whatever you did...you might notice a sting on areas that has small cuts/open pores as this does contain alcohol. The stinging goes away within a couple of seconds.

The smell is horrible though. It smells SO alcoholic, like rubbing alcohol, that it is annoying..however I just hold my breath in whenever I use it..which is only for a couple of seconds.

I have noticed a great difference in that there's less ingrown hairs and less bumps. I also get less irritation too.

Since I got free samples, I don't actually know how much this retails for at my salon. However, Amazon has it for $16.52 for 8oz. It seems a tad expensive, but considering it does give you a world's difference and you only need the tiniest bit, I might consider buying it.
The only thing that's stopping me from purchasing a full sized bottle is the price.

I love this product!!! Okay, time for some TMI reviewing: I shave. You know where. And for the first like, 9 years of doing so, I lived with the bumps. I figured it was part of life. I tried to combat them with tea tree oil, witch hazel, and aloe. I tried to prevent them with fancier razors and even going so far as to try a self-Brazilian once (I almost passed out.) So, I pretty much came to terms that I was always going to have an ugly red razor bump or two on my most sensitive area (I am thankfully not a victim of razor brutality on my legs or underarms). But, ever the fighter, I was always interested in finding new products to eradicate this issue. I picked up a bottle of this a month ago for $13.00. I was like, damn, for 13 bucks, this $%&* better be good. A month later, I aim on buying this stuff for the rest of my life. It's changed my shaving life! Like I said, I used to get big ugly razor bumps. Not no more. I apply this (quite liberally, but that's my personality) after shaving and 5-10 mins later, I am *beautiful* down there. (Told you this would be a TMI review). It also has helped me get a closer shave because now I'm now trying to dodge irritated spots or prevent future bumps- I've got my prevention bottled, and it's name is Tendskin! <3
Sorry to all of those whom I've offended with this review :-P
P.S.-Like I said, I bought this bottle a month ago, it's about 2/3 gone. So $13.00 every couple of months isn't bad.

AMAZBALLS!

Stings like a mofo but works like a beautiful butterfly!

I use this mostly after I epilate and within a day the spots are seriously reduced and in a couple days gone. I've never tried any other product but I definitely would not stray from this! If it ain't broke don't fix it! And if it is broke TendSkin it!

I don't want to sound overly dramatic here, but this product has changed my life. I have very sensitive fair skin and very dark, coarse hair. Shaving and waxing have always been torture because I'd have nice smooth legs for a good 8-12 hours after which my legs would break out horribly. I'd have tons of ingrown hairs and razor bumps. The irritation was unbearable, and I was embarrassed to wear shorts (the breakout covered my entire inner thighs almost down to my knees). When the breakouts calmed, I'd have dark purple scars from the ingrowns. I had tried everything and thought that I was doomed to have ugly legs forever.

I decided to dish out the cash for Tendskin because I had nothing to lose. Thankfully, Sephora has a good return policy, so if it didn't work I could always return it. I balked at the price; it's REALLY expensive! However, after using it for a few weeks, I have to say that i'm convinced. It has majorly cleared up the skin on my legs. I no longer have any itching, redness or pain after shaving and am not embarrassed to wear short shorts or even a bikini bottom!! I can really say that it is worth the price.

As an aside, I find that the packaging isn't that great. I used WAY too much product by putting it onto a cotton ball. To fix this, I decanted some of the product into a small spray bottle. Now I use way less product, so I don't feel like I'm wasting money. The only downside is that you gotta hold your breath when you do this, or have a towel wrapped around yourself. The off-spray is very irritating to breathe in.

The solution is perfect for bringing ingrown hairs to the surface where you can either pull it from under the skin with a sterilized needle/ pin or the hair just flicks right out... this has been a life saver for me to prevent dark spots on my skin when the ingrown hair stays under the skin to long and becomes infected! You just have to apply it with a cotton ball & once the hair is visible enough to pull from under surface stop using it or it might burn your skin as this is what happened to me since I felt "the more the better".

Wish I had known about this long ago! I have tried other types of pre- and post-hair removal products to stop bikini line ingrown hairs and irritation (Bliss pads, drugstore stuff), but nothing worked. Gave this a try about 2 months ago, and it really helps. Also use gentle scrub in shower daily after shaving. The roll-on applicator works fine for me.

Not the miracle product I was hoping it would be. I still get quite a few ingrown hairs and bumps even though I use it as directed. Not quite worth the $20 I paid.

This works great when I shaving and waxing. I used it before and after I wax my legs and my eyebrows, it really helped to prevent the redness and the in growth. The product is a little expensive but i only need to use very little each time. I usually bought this at Sephora but now i got it online for $13.99 for 4 oz bottle from speedybeauty.com, so I can save few bucks each time.

Works great. I pour a little on the day before waxing and use it immediately after waxing and I never get ingrowns, bumps or redness (which I would sometimes get with Azuline oil that comes with Parissa).

This stuff makes your skin perfect. I hate how expensive it is, but I have gone a few times without it thinking it was unnecessary and I was wrong. I never have problems when I use it! I bought a 4oz bottle in late April and it is now mid August and I have only used 1/3 of it.

It evaporates quickly though so make sure you cap it tightly. I usually pour a little on and smooth it lightly with a cotton pad because applying it directly on with the cotton pad absorbs too much product.

Lucky me, I have very sensitive skin, and was blessed with the "hairy gene". So, whenever I shave my legs, underarms and lady parts, I can guarantee that by day 3, I'll be scratching my skin like I broke out with a bad case of the hives. Not pretty at all, especially in a bathing suit or sleeveless shirt. There are some products out there that will help, such as my favorite shave cream; Kiss my Face Moisture Shave or lathering your skin up with aloe. These do help, but there will be occasional irritations, especially when you're using a new razor - ya know, the new ones they keep coming out that have more blades for a closest shave? The Schick Hydro 5 killed me.

Anyway, the following day after I've shaved I begin using Tend Skin - before the irritation starts. I don't use it right after I shower, or else it'll burn. You can use a cotton ball, but because of the high alcohol content, it will dry/evaporate (whatever it does) before you finish applying it. To lessen the waste of product, I like using a cosmetic sponge and applying it to my bikini line, underarms, thighs and backs of the knees - any areas prone to irritation. I've read from a review that one gal likes to use a fan brush. I bet that'd work good too.

I also like using it when I wax my arms. Sometimes I'll end up with a little colony of pimples on my forearm, opposite of my elbow. This stops those from forming and if I forget to use my Tend Skin and they do sprout - It'll diminish them in a day or two.

It's also a pretty good product to dry up pimples on your face.

The main drawback of the product is the price. It is $20 for a 4 oz bottle. There are other sizes available, up to 16 oz, but 4 oz is the smallest. There is also a 2.5 oz roll-on, which is probably much more handy for $15. It can be purchased from Sephora.com or various online retailers. I actually have spotted Tend Skin several times at Marshalls and TJMaxx for $12.99 (I purchased two for $7 each on clearance last summer!) This product is worth it though for me and I recommend it if razor burn/bumps is something you struggle with.

I have used a cheaper alternative called GiGi No Bump found at Sally's Beauty Supply, which is around $9 for 4 oz, but I still prefer Tend Skin. For whatever reason, I feel that Tend Skin works faster. The GiGi No Bump has pretty good reviews though, so it really boils down to individual preference.

This stuff is truly a lifesaver when it comes to getting rid of and preventing razor bumps and ingrown hairs. The first time I purchased this was from Sephora, and it didn't work very well. I strongly advise that you not purchase Tend Skin from Sephora- the formula and packaging is not the same. I ordered this from Eskincarestore.com and was given different packaging, and a much stronger formula. After shaving, I apply this to a cotton puff, and dab it onto area's where I'm prone to getting irritation. It stings for a few minutes, but its well worth it. I get no irriation or itching. My razor bumps would be so bad on my legs, I avoided shorts in summer. This is also great after a Brazilian Wax. I cannot beging to stress how amazing it is not to have irritation after shaving, its makes everything so much more pleasant. Shaving and waxing use to be something I dreaded- not anymore :)

TendSkin has worked wonders for me. I was one of those silly girls who didn't know any better and used soap to shave back in middle school with the wrong razors & the wrong techniques. As a result, I've always had ugly red shave bumps and ingrown hairs on my legs. For years I'd always thought that was just the way my skin and hair are because no matter what I tried they never went away. Until I found tendskin. I've been using it daily for almost a month now, and the bumps are almost all gone, and the ingrowns are on their way out too! Just the stubborn ones on my calf where I cross my legs remain. But finally after 8 yrs I have the confidence to wear shorts and skirts without stockings or leg makeup which are both a hassle to wear/apply and look unnatural. It does waste product applying the liquid with a cotton pad, but I find that it helps remove dead skin cells, part of what cause ingrowns. I've read from those that use the rollerball applicator that dirt gets onto the rollerball and turns the liquid dark, so I'd pass up the more convenient packaging. I haven't experienced the slightest irritation. The smell isn't pleasant, but does go away after the liquid dries. It is quite expensive, though. I paid $38 for the large 8 oz bottle (of which I've already used about a fifth), but I can't put a price on being able to show off some leg this summer!!

For those who are interested, here are some shaving tips that have worked for me:

1. Shave after taking a hot shower with the hot water running.
2. Apply conditioner to the legs and let it sit for a couple mins before shaving.
3. Use a gel, not a foam, to shave. I use Bikini Zone shave gel, which works perfectly fine for both my bikini area and legs!
4. Use a sharp razor, and only reuse razors three or four times.
5. Wash off the shaved hairs from the razor with hot water after EACH stroke.
6. Apply tend skin to dry skin after shaving.
7. Exfoliate legs the day after and regularly.

Hope this helps!
