This is one of the better pimple cream for me and works most of the time. Strangely, it does not dry out my pimple like other brands(eg: Oxy) but it makes my pimples or acnes subside pretty fast. I've tried to cut cost by using Oxy since the active ingredient and the strength was the same but it simply did not achieve what Proactive advanced blemish treatment did for me. The only complaint for this cream is the cost for such a small tiny tube.

**Well, just for the record, I get mine free with each proactiv delivery, hence the 5 for pricing :)**
*Uhm, it's okay...I mean I guess it helps a little bit but I don't know, I just don't think I get very many results for something with what, 10% benzoyl peroxide?? I mean it's not dreadful, and I do get something from it I suppose, but I definitely wouldn't recommend anybody to this product (especially at regular price!!).
*For anyone who doesn't know, it comes in a very small tube with a narrow opening, and you squeeze it either on to your finger or directly on to the pimple. Its a gel-type of consistency, a lot like the Step 3 lotion.
*My secret for a really bad pimple is that I squeeze a reasonable amount like allll around it, and leave it there! Like I don't rub it in at all! It looks really dumb, but it helps! :)

For starters, I didn't rate the price or packaging quality because I used AcneFree's version of this, but apparently AcneFree isn't on makeupalley for some reason... but I figured this is basically the same thing. If it's not, however, don't listen to this review. It means nothing to you.

Ok, well, it has a 10% benzoyl peroxide, which is PURTY DANG HIGH, I must say. Such a high percentage makes it hurt like the devil, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. It might mean that it's getting rid of it or something, heck do I know.

This stuff is pretty addicting to use. You put it on, OUCH it hurts, but psychologically to you that's a good thing, 'cause you think it's getting rid of your pimples. And it is. It freakin' COMPLETELY dries them out. But see, my pimples at least, have life stages, and I only put this on them when they're at their climax, when they hurt/are ugly the most before they dry up and go away (I don't pop my pimples which by the way helps a bunch!). I put it on after I moisturize my face at night or when I have a gross ugly pimple and want it to go awayyy. But once you use it it kinda stops working after a few hours, though is still there, and you feel like you must put MORE on. It's a never ending cycle.

Also, note, I have pretty good skin. Not oily, a little dry, I'm just a teenager with the few occasional pimples.

Now, lemme tell ya, this stuff works, but it's useless on already disappearing pimples/scars/black heads. Gotta get the timing right for some reason. Also, and since this is super important, basically it helps THE pimple, but not my face as a whole. Because if it's not ONLY on a pimple and not on any other square patch of skin, it will break you out because of how drying it is. You have to make sure it's just on the pimple and not the skin around it, otherwise it's the equivalent of popping it (oh dear!) which it then is replaced by 1-3 more pimples. I probably would never use this stuff if it wasn't so addicting.

I was looking for a spot treatment for blemishes and ProActiv was the first brand that came into my mind. This product came in really nice efficient packaging and the price was not steep either so I brought it.
This did absolutely nothing for my blemishes,
Such a waste of money!

I hate this stuff. I used it in high school. It worked for about four months than completely stopped working. By that time I had signed up to get it in the mail automatically which was a huge mistake. I thought I wad maybe having a bad month. So by the time I figured out It was no longer going to work at all I had a couple of full unopened packages. Its expensive $40. It just does not work. Every time I see the infomercial I get mad and they put ads in a lot my catalogs. I wonder how many of those people it still works for or if it ever worked for them. I know those celebrities get paid like a million or two to be on them. I guess if someone offered me that much money I say it worked too. I know a lot of people who tried it. All of them said it did not work. Its a huge waste of money. If you have acne go to a dermatologist. That is what I did and my skin is clear now. If you have insurance it is cheaper to go to a dermatologist than to buy this crap. Plus you will have way more luck at a dermatologist.

I would probably have rated this lower if I had actually paid for it, but Proactiv just threw it in as a sample. This product...does nothing for my acne. No matter how much or how often I apply, it simply...does nothing! The smell, texture, and packaging are nice though.

also a sucker for an infomercial.. i tried proactiv and it seemed to work for the first couple of weeks but then it just seemed to do nothing?? and for the price i was paying you think it would??

also being tanned, i found that it was starting to bleach my skin slightly? and it made my skin really dry especially around the mouth area. it works for some, but not for me.

I got this product after watching an infomercial about it(im a sucker for infomercials) and i thought id give it a try. I've had problems with my oily acne infested skin for years and I still have not found a product that works. pro activ is NOT and exception.. I only used it for a week because it completely dried out my skin to the point where it looked like I'd gotten a bad sun burn! I was so horrified i decided not to continue. Don't recommend! Don't be fooled!!

Yes, the packaging really sucks but what's inside is why I buy this and why I'm never without it. Occasionally I have a few breakouts and when they occur this zaps them away overnight. This is absolutely fabulous for getting rid of them quickly and without too much fuss. Yes, the smell is horrible and I wake up smelling like someone urinated on me during the night but I also wake up with clear skin, wash away the smell and I'm ready to go. I think it's worth the clear skin you get in the end.

Once again, what's the deal with the lousy packaging?! The tubes are too thin, it's such a struggle to get the product out! And i didn't think this stuff was a very big deal, not for the price.

I got this in the kit I got from QVC. It works great to quickly zap away any spots that try to come up on your skin! I definitely want to buy this again after I've run out. It's very concentrated, so you only need to use a tiny bit; so it lasts quite a while even though it's a small tube.

I got this in my pro activ kit and I'm glad I got practiv system and this product at the right time, because i had those monsterous zit on my chin (you know the cystic types that dont surface but hurt like a bee sting), well i started my proactiv kit right away and started putting this blemish treatment on the zit spot. After 3 days my skin cleared up with the proactiv system, and the daily dose of the spot treatment brought down the swelling and finally my skin peeled away slowly around the zit area revealing a less discolored look. If it werent for the spot treatment, i wouldve had the zit for 2 weeks and probably had scarring.

When I offered my opinions to Proactiv as a testimonial THIS is the product I told them was one of my fave!! I carry it around in my purse with me so that when I feel a pimple coming on I can zap it right away! I love how you don’t need to use that much… you just dab it directly on the pimple before bed or whenever and in the morning when you wake up the redness is gone and it is already started to disappear! I have noticed that when I use it too much in one area on my face I do get dry but I just use the green tea moisturizer to compensate for that. This solution is so powerful that you only need to use a little and the tube last forever that way! So not only is it awesome for clearing skin its easy on price as well! LOVE this product like it was my NEW BEST FRIEND!! <3

This product has lasted me a very long time. I only use it on a big spot and then I can only use it once because it is soooo drying. Your skin is then dry and flacky and makes concealing really hard. I will not be buying this product again.

Just used this last night for the first time on two very red pimples on my extremely fair face. Overnight the redness and diameter of the pimples have gone down. It was only my first time using so we'll see how it goes from here. But I will continue to use with high hopes.

This product made my acne a little better initially, but after using it a while, my acne was about the same as always. I did not like the way this product made my skin dry and flaky. It is too expensive for how little it helps. I don't recommend it.

This cream comes in a tiny tiny bottle, so first of all theres not much there. Then, you put it on the zit, and all it does is lower the swelling a little. You really can't use spot treatment on acne prone skin, like mine, so for me, this didn't work at all.
