This is a pleasant, balanced mimosa with some sweetness from blackcurrant. It is a well-behaved floral that might be easy to hush aside because it isn’t the most unique floral. However, I love mimosas and Fashion Avenue conveys a clear enough representation of them. I love Une Fleur de Cassie for a sultry evening fragrance, especially in the summer; Champs Elysees for mimosa a cheerfulness which never fails to lift my mood and Mimosa pour Moi for a very natural effect. Fashion Avenue doesn’t have a very clearly defined role like these, nevertheless it seems to fill a gap for me: It’s a modest, easy-to-wear mimosa that I can comfortably wear to work, dinners outside, seated concerts (because it doesn’t seem to disturb anyone) and whatnot. With some generous splashes it’s first very soapy and with a lots of aquatic hyacinth, but dries down to a friendly floral. Perhaps not as elegant or chic as some white flowers but optimistic and proper at the same time. I have been living on samples for a while and don't know if I'll buy a full bottle one day. However, I'd happily use it if someone gifted it to me. I'm also looking forward to sampling Park Avenue which has a chamomile note because that note reminds me of mimosas, too. Good lasting power and low to medium sillage on my skin.

Love! Now THIS is my absolute favorite type of floral -- soft, innocent, musky -- a skin-scent. From descriptions, I was hoping I would love it, and I wasn't disappointed at all. As soon as I tried it on, it smelled soooooo familiar -- something I wore years ago -- and then it finally hit me -- Christiane Celle's Calypso Mimosa!
I used to wear Calypso Mimosa about 10 years ago. Back then, I saw online that CM was advertised as being a favorite of many popular California models and actresses, so I bought it unsniffed and absolutely loved it. Fashion Avenue takes me right back to that scent -- it's very similar. I'm sure there are differences, but I wore Calypso Mimosa too long ago to be able to compare them.
Mimosa is the major note of Fashion Avenue. It's a soft innocent utterly feminine perfume, and it smells summery/beachy to me -- like you're on vacation -- taking a leisurely outdoor stroll on a warm summer evening along the beach -- with soft breezes blowing and trees waving gently.
Fashion Avenue is shy, tender, delicate, wispy, & feminine -- and melts into skin. Not the clean, sharp type at all -- just soft. It almost doesn't smell like perfume at all, it's so gentle -- more like a lotion or grooming product. It's relaxed, languid, warm -- has almost a tropical breeze or Mediterranean breeze feel, although it's not aquatic at all.
I picture someone demure and quiet, such as Audrey Hepburn or Carey Mulligan -- wearing Fashion Avenue, and I would color the scent a very pale cream or yellow. It whispers its subtle presence, yet as with all Bonds, it has very good strength & lasting power -- so even though it's a nonassertive scent, you still have to spray lightly. Absolutely wonderful!
UPDATE: I wore Fashion Avenue again today, and I'm wearing it right now. It crossed my mind that I needed to add that it's not like something a Fashion Avenue "fashionista" would wear at all. It's so soft, gentle, and innocent, it smells to me like *baby perfume*. This is snuggly and cuddly to the max. I love love love it!

FA is a modern interpretation of a floral. The mimose and musk lend themselves to a clean, soft floral scent that I personally love especially in the hot summer months. Sillage is great, not overbearing but leaving a little scented whisper as you pass others by and the longevity is amazing on me, in my opinion this is a quietly sexy scent.....

If you like fresh and clean but not aquatic, this is a good scent for you.
It reminds me of the clean outdoors scent after a big summer rain or a bundle of dewy plants. Fashion Avenue is unoffensive, calming and alluring all at the same time.
This scent doesn't have the lasting power like the Bond scents I've smelled- that and the price are the only negative remarks I have to share about the fragrance.
I recommend especially for those with allergies and sinus issues. This is a very lovely non-perfumy scent. It's serene and delicate.

If success is a job...then Bond no.9 will never go out of business!! I just received several Bond.9 bon-bons in a few swaps, and as much as I love this perfume house, there were still quite a few I haven't tried yet. Fashion Ave was one of those scents I was testing for the first time. Yesterday I couldn't resist and I dabbed so many bon-bon's and different fragrance decants, after a while I wasn't sure about anything anymore:)) But as soon as I dabbed my Fashion Ave bon-bon I could tell that there is something about this scent that I like very much, very, VERY much. This morning just to be sure, I dabbed my Fashion Ave again but this time only by itself. Oh my god!! To me it smells like a thunderstorm in a city park. I know this comparison is so weird, but I originally come from a big city, like NYC is, and that's exactly what comes to my mind first! This perfume doesn't smell like the "regular" mimosa and ylang-ylang, it doesn't smell like JUST the flowers. There is something more... something more seductive. It smells like rain, it smells like clouds but the funny thing is, it doesn't have any aquatic notes or anything like that. It's the green/mossy quality of the whole thing, the depth of it, with just a hint of fruityness from the black currant note. I just have no words to describe how much I love it!! Fashion Avenue is the most intriguing scent I've ever, EVER smelled in my life. It's also hard to desribe it at all, I could never compare it to anything else at all. For example: I can easily say that when I was wearing Montale's Sweet Oriental Dream it reminded me of Chinatown, because of it's deliscious sweetness, both reminded me of pink cupcakes in a way (and I love both Chinatown and Sweet Oriental Dream by the way), they are two different scents, but I could compare it's sweetness to one another. With Fashion Avenue there is not another scent, not even another mimosa/ylang-ylang combo that would ever come close to smelling the way Fashion Ave does. For anyone who's ever gone on the Bond no.9 website, have you seen the section for Bleecker Street? The drawings are kind of purple-ish-greeny-ish? They would be better suited for Fashion Avenue!! Fashion Avenue reminds me of a dark green city park, with some dark purple flowers and the earthy smell assosiated with a thunderstorm. Beautiful, gorgeous!! I am going to buy a full, huge bottle of this ASAP!! It will definitely become my new signature scent.

I totally agree with a previous reviewer that Fashion Avenue and Eau de NoHo smell almost identical. However, I find Fashion Avenue just slightly more pleasing. It's like Eau de NoHo with a little more fruit and a little less baby powder. That being said, I will probably eventually use my whole sample but will not buy the FB. It's not THAT good.

Revolting. When my roommate bathes in this dreck I can't bear to be near her. Reminds me of Amazing Grace, which I also despise.

I love the *idea* of what this company is doing but most of their juices are too similar and bland. For example, to me, Fashion Avenue and Eau de Noho are almost indistinguishable from one another with Madison Soiree following by closely. They all smell clean, soapy, with a touch of flower. That's it.
On the plsu side, I really like their bonbon packaging for the samples. Although I don't have the bottle for this one, I also like their bottles in general.
I agree with the other posters who said these were overpriced. Way overpriced...

At first application, this smelled like a paler version of Broadway Nite to me, but after it dried down, there was quite a difference. This one had a very sweet, natural scent to it, smelled like a real flower, though I'm not sure which one. I see a lot of others say "mimosa", but I've never smelled that. I can detect the faintest fruit note in a mild juicy quality, but could not say WHICH fruit it might be. Nothing to get excited about here, in my book.

Very sweet, somewhat powdery floral - it smells very much like Calypso Mimosa to my nose. Very strong hyacinth and mimosa.

I think my body chemistry is totally wonky because this smells really, really good on me. I got hte bon bon box expecting to hate this and the scent from the bottle didn't really do anything for me, but I put it on and boom! I smell like a mimosa tree. I don't see the comparison to the Calypso mimosa, but again, could just be my body chemistry. I get a lot of green and a slight undercurrent of lime in this, too. I like it! I probably wouldn't buy a 100 ml bottle, but if someone gave it to me I certainly wouldn't complain about it.

Goodness- smells just like a fabric softener sheet- a floral that was way too powdery and fake- despite Bond's use of quality oils. I couldn't wait to wash it off. I will say Bond has some unusual creations, but I admit I prefer fragrances that smells true to a flower (rather than an offbeat blend).

I really liked this one!! It does remind me of a green, grassy scent which I don't normally like. However, the mimosa in it gave it a nice sweetness. The blend of the sweet and grassy notes is very lovely and neither one is too strong. Definitely full bottle worthy for me!

Fashion Avenue smells like rain in the park on an early summer day! It is very green... and it has mimosa with blackcurrant, two notes which I almost always love. Truly stunning! And very "real", ethereal

YUCK! I get a urine note with this one. Extremely sharp and acidic jasmine with gag-inducing sweetness. An odor that makes me think of subway restrooms. I must get this off my skin now!

Fashion Avenue seemed like a deep fruity scent to me. I do see the
resemblance to Calypso Mimosa, with a detergenty-floral quality as well. Think Calypso Mimosa with a topping of grape. Or, what happens if you cross Calypso Mimosa with Pure Poison?

You really need to wait for the drydown to appreciate this one. If you like hyacinth you should definitely try this.

When I first tried this, I thought it was too sweet. No clue about the notes, but a previous reviewer mentions hyacinth so I think that's it. It has dried down to a lovely, soft, floral.

This sickly sweet floral fragrance is quite similar to Calypso Mimosa on me, and also reminds me of floral-scented cleansing agents which you often smell in public bathrooms. I find it wholly unpleasant. For a much nicer mimosa and blackcurrant fragrance, try AG Eau de Charlotte (which also has a dash of cocoa powder).

Unfortunately smells almost identical to GAP's Discontinued Dream Scent, a fragrance I intensely disliked in the first place (overdose on orange blossom/powder) but was at least reasonably priced. Bottom line: The scent (and cost) of Fashion Avenue make my stomach turn.
