I am always forever trying new lip balms, tragically torn between what works and what tastes good. I think Blistex makes some of the better balms on the budget market (provided you STAY AWAY from anything labeled "medicated") but they really, really taste bizarre.

This one is sort of a fruity flavor reminiscent of the flavored powder put in children's prescription medicine to make it palatable. I won't be repurchasing it because of the taste, which is too bad, because it was a nice, feather-light balm that did what it said on the package.

The taste, scent, and feel of this product are all quite artificial. The scent is lemony which I don't mind but the taste has a fake, waxy sugary tinge. The actual product glides on well - almost too well - and is almost a bit slimy :/ It wore off quite easily too which is surprising since it is supposed to give "complete moisture."

Side note: I just bought the Blixtex simple and sensitive (the scentless, tasteless one in the light blue with only 5 ingredients) and it is much more preferable to this one!

Firstly, I use lipbalm by the truckload so I know how a lipbalm is supposed to feel and taste like.

This is NOT a lipbalm. It is tough to apply so I took a small piece off and apply with my finger.
Once applied it leaves this white wax film that sits on my lips.
It is drying and then it tingles and hurts my lips.

It tingles my lips for the whole time it has been applied till I deliberately wipe it off.

And I tried this many many times. Nope. This is not something I will reuse.

I usually love Blistex products but this has a very unusual smell, someone described it as an artificial sugary lemonade and I agree with that description completely. The two or three times I used this it didn't seem to help or hurt my lips, it worked just like any other lip product but the thing is I expected better from this company. It felt nice on my lips but not as hydrating as the one in the tube. I would not repurchase this but I bought some other Blistex balms in stick forms and like those way better.

AZ desert, perennially dry / sometimes chapped lips. Everytime I'm due to get another lip balm, I always pick this one up plus another I'd stray towards. But always, I keep picking this up.

Much more moisturizing then the 'blue' Chapstick, but my boyfriend much prefers his Chapstick since it doesn't feel emoillent to him.

In short, this lip balm is the most moisturizing, fast-acting, and lightweight I have ever tried.

I've been trying a number of difference lip-balms, -moisturizers, -cream, etc., so far Blistex Complete Moisture is the best one, hands down! I adore this !!!!

I am the type of person who cannot manage without lip balms - or anything that keeps my lips super moist and hydrated. My lips are so sensitive, they get dried out extremely quickly.

The product claims to "deliver a super-moisturizing effect you'll feel immediately" - and it DOES. Right after putting the balm on, you will feel the moisture surge immediately. And it soothes irritated lips as well.

Oh and this one has SPF and is super cheap, too!!!

I will start by saying that I cannot stand lipstick, or lipgloss. I really like to do fun stuff with eye makeup and to avoid halloween I keep my lips neutral. I just wear chapstick. So chapstick serves two purposes for me. It keeps my lips hydrated (I live in SE AK) and it adds a little shine to finish off my makeup look.

This is not my go to choice. However if I cannot get ahold of my regular brand. I always reach for this next. I usually have a tube of it floating around my house or truck. The scent is nice, reminds me of candy. Has sort of a "tang" on your tongue but no real "flavor". I hope that makes sense. It isn't very long lasting and I find myself constantly reapplying. However while on it keeps my lips smooth and doesn't seem to cause any chapping when it wears off. Again though, this is my second choice.

I love this lip balm as a day time kinda thing. I still love my little carmex jar but when I'm working I can't keep dipping my finger into it then smearing the product all over the place :x

For starters I love the scent - smells just like pink starbursts <3! It has no flavor and that's fine by me. This will not cure super chappy lips like carmex can. However, if your lips start to feel a bit dry this will soften them up no problem. I've been through 2 tubes of this stuff and I've seen it on sale for only $2 at drugstores before.

I continue to buy this product over and over again. I use this basically as an everyday lip balm and wear it to bed a lot. I also love to wear this under lip products. I will say it is very hydrating, but perhaps isn't as intensive for those who may experience dry chapped lips, especially in the winter.

This lip balm is not working for me no matter what I try. It leaves my lips much drier and painfully flakier after it rubs off. I find myself needing to reapply this every hour, and throughout the day, the flakiness keeps getting worse. Sometimes my lips will bleed because they crack from the dryness. I'm not sure if my skin is reacting badly to a certain ingredient, but the day I switched to a different lip balm, the flaking and cracking went away. I tried to also use this as a cuticle moisturizer (I heard using lip balm for this prevents cracking of the cuticle), but it did the same exact thing to my cuticles.
I would not recommend this to anyone, it seemed to suck all the moisture out of my lips as it wore off.

This chapstick doesn't taste too good, but it works really well. I put a few coats on at night before I went to bed and woke up with super soft lips! I am a chapstick fanatic, and it's definitely one of my favorites. It's totally great for immediate results, and isn't too sticky or waxy. The thin texture feels great on your lips and doesn't feel caked on. Good stuff! :)

I've re bought this 2 times because so far, it's the best lip balm I've used. Plus it has SPF. I like the way it feels, a couple minutes after applying I can rub my lips together & it's still slick. I like it alot but I wouldn't make the commitment of calling it HG.

I love the 'wet' feeling this has when I put it on because I don't like the waxy or sticky feel of some lip balms. It doesn't last a real long time, but I assume staying power comes with the waxy, sticky feel so I'm not too surprised. It does a nice job of moisturizing my lips. (It is similar in feel to the "Deep Renewal" product, but that one has a twist-up tube I don't care for.)
It is obvious from the range of reviews that people are very particular about the lip balms. This one appeals to me.

I own this in an updated version in a blue squeezable tube. I really like this during the winter and wear it underneath my lipstick or gloss. I like this MUCH better than Burt's Bees lip balm.

Blistex Complete Moisture (BCM) is a great lip balm that I use during the dry winter months and at night. It provides a surge of moisture for your lips, and quickly whips them into shape, no matter how chapped they are. It doesn't have that thick, waxy feel that many lip balms have. Instead, it sits lightly on the lips, providing moisture without the weight.

Due to its smooth and slippery texture, I find that it slips off my lips rather easily, so I can't wear lipstick with it. BCM is perfect for the winter months, during the day or as a night-time treatment for my lips, as my combination skin tends to break out during the summer if BCM slips off my lips.

BCM contains SPF 15, including the sunscreens octinoxate and oxybenzone. (Please note: oxybenzone is a sunscreen that is also photo-carcinogenic.)

It has a sweet and fruity scent, and is the sweetest tasting lip balm that I have ever tried. It lasts about 45 minutes before I need to re-apply. This is my third tube, and I will re-purchase when I run out (or when it expires.)

This lipbalm applies really wet on lips and gives your lips a hit of hydration. Sadly, it doesn't last and I find my lips are dry again within half an hour. The smell is actually quite nice to me, although most of the posters underneath dislike it. I lost this lipbalm and decided to buy the new Maybelline Baby Lips which definitely outperforms and outlasts this particular Blistex lip balm. Won't repurchase.

Initially applied, this lip balm felt very moist, and as many others before me have said, almost wet-feeling which is awesome! However, this does the complete opposite of moisturizing my lips. Within almost 2 minutes, I felt the need to reapply because my lips were getting so dry.
Eventually, but quickly, I figured the culprit was this lip balm. Drying-out my lips so far as to make them flake and peel significantly. I'm happy this worked out for a lot of you but for me this was completely horrid. It's such a shame because it's dirt-cheap; 2 tubes for 99 cents at Target! Too be quite honest, I can get away with Target's generic version (still pretty affordable) of ChapStick as oppose to this particular Blistex.

I've had this lip balm for a few weeks, and it's taken me a while to decide how I really feel about it. That's probably not a good sign, lol. This balm has a very odd texture when first applied. It glides on very...wet feeling. Not exactly in an oily way, but wet. Almost like I applied a stick of water to my lips (if such a thing were possible). It feels wet, and cold. I do not really like that sensation, ugh. Luckily, the weird cold/wet thing only lasts a few minutes, because then it sinks in and leaves my lips feeling nice and soft. It has a strong scent and flavor to it which I'm not fond of either...it smells strongly of synthetic, sugary lemonade, and it tastes very sweet. I'm not at all against fragrances in lip products but I don't like this one. A weird thing I've noticed with Blistex is that their lip balms tend to make my lips burn...Silk and Shine, the fruit smoothies balms, 5 star protection, and this one. They all make my lips burn and tingle in a weird, unpleasant way. It doesn't tingle nicely in a Burt's Bees or Carmex way (I love those balms and enjoy the invigorating tingly sensation), this just feels like it's irritating my lips and it burns. I'm a lip stuff junkie and rarely do products do this to me. Ehhh, I dunno. I hate giving products low ratings but I'm just not a fan of this balm. The weird cold wet feeling, the overly strong smell, the burning...yeah, no good for me. I'll stick with my usual favorites, Nivea, Carmex, and Lip Smackers.

This lip balm has such a unique texture when you apply it. It really feels moist and cool going on. Not so waxy. I think the appearance of moisture is greater than the actual moisturizing ability, if that makes sense, but it does moisturize OK. Sort of an orange-cream scent/taste. Not my fave. If it was unscented, I'd consider a repurchase.
